I paid full price. My favorite part of toy suite are the 8-bit synth presets that they now offer separately. I would go for the NI UVI bundle being offered honestly unless you already own some of the other titles.

I don't think you could possibly regret getting KONTAKT, Joe. I have a thread full of my recommendations for free sample libraries for the full version of KONTAKT. There's a wealth of high quality instruments in there. Pianos, synths, brass, strings, drums, percussion -- it's there. The included Factory library with KONTAKT likely also includes some libraries you'd enjoy. I don't think I have a single DAW project with multiple instruments that doesn't include KONTAKT. I use it far more than anything else.

Yes, this Black Friday. I'd say it's pretty standard for a grace period just before a new release. Otherwise, you have someone who buys a version that is immediately out of date a couple of weeks later. That's typically how these things work. You had 8 months to use it that I didn't have.

I do regret it, because I think in less than a year I've spent like $5000 on Kontakt libraries… And also I can count the free libraries I'd actually use in a production on like half a hand. So yeah, full Kontakt is the rabbit hole of rabbit holes.

@Bad Penguin The voucher is generic you can find it on the NI website. However, it only works on NI stuff. 1. If you add UVI only it won't work 2. If you put UVI bundle and Massive expansion (14,50€) it will only remove the 14,50€ with the 50€ voucher 3. You can however add UVI bundle plus something from NI that is worth ~50€+ and save those with the voucher

Um, my friend, August, plays the part of Tommy Shaw in his band? Among other cover bands he was in (like Smokin' the only Boston tribute band at the time; Brad Delp was a fan), he was in Grand Illusion which was a Styx tribute band. He and his bandmates were VERY good! (And August was a graduate of GIT, or Guitar Institute Tech, kind of like a Juliard school for guitarists.) One of the guitars that can be seen in some of the videos (a Music Man) used to belong to me and he's got some other gear of mine too! THAT'S how I know about this! 😁
