I didn't get a whole lot either. But I had grabbed that SS-11X a few months back during a sale.  Really like that sim a lot. It really has a good clean sound. Nice and warm.

I was pleasantly surprised how good this is. I really like the drive/lots of cabinets included and yeah, those clean tones were very nice/warm sounds indeed. I may have to look into more Mercuriall stuff.    😉

I was able to upgrade to Kontakt Full for around £107

Not to sound like marketing material, but Congratulations - you've now opened doors to some really great libraries! Only problem is, it'll exacerbate GAS, but in a good way 🙂

So you're ready to play with the big boys now? ;)

I'm not.

Well, I'm not, actually.

I just thought that if I was ever going to upgrade to full Kontakt then now was the time to do it.

I'm not really a library person...

I haven't decided between ReLive and Imagined Spaces. I already have Paterno.  I didnt hear about the TC pedal 2 for $75. That would have been hard to stay away from. I love their pedals. You and Grem should like the Toontrack Dream Machine. I really like it. and the Dream Pop EZX.

If anyone has a recommendation on ReMatrix expansions I would love to hear it. The Paterno is a good mix of in studio verbs.

Sorry, Paterno is the only one I have.  I'll agree that there are a lot of good sounds in that one.

Also, regarding the TC - it was their "Smorgasbord" series, most of which are upgraded versions of Behringer pedals (same parent company now) which go for $50-60 normally.  Still,  the Afterglow Chorus sounded pretty good in the YT reviews I saw, as well as the Thunderstorm Flanger.

I picked up:

1) VSL Special Edition Volume 4 (and upgraded to the Synchonized version)

2) Joshua Bell Violin Essential from Embertone (via Audio Plugin Deals)

3) Taylor Davis Violin from Cinesamples

Managed to avoid being pulled in by: 8Dio, Eduardo Tailronte (although I was THIS close to pulling the trigger on Celtic Era), and Native Instruments. The rest of the field didn't really grab my attention: Spitfire's promotion didn't tempt me at all, and EastWest and IK don't really have much that interest me, at this point...

Have you had a chance to run through the Taylor Davis samples yet?

Myself, I picked up pre black friday Toontrack Midi 6 pack, ROCK! EZX,  the Celestion EVH impulses. Still plan to pick up the Toontrack Deathlike midi (which came out not long after I chose my midi packs - kicks major a**)

I also supposedly picked up some iloud micros and an axe io. I've been on the hunt for monitors, and with jam points, I figure what the hell, on top of I'll pick up an Axe I/O as well. Well, the second time this is happened to me - I applied below the maximum amount of jam points and IK's store tells me I exceeded the maximum value.  Ok, went through this earlier this year. 3-4 support tickets later, support finally gets back to me. Here we are three days later, after multiple emails and sometimes no reply, the dude tells me I'll get a paypal invoice today. Meanwhile all of the good monitor deals have shot up or no longer exist. So now, I'm wonder f it and go for some different monitors anyway and a different interface or wait for the IK dudes to come through.

@Musical Warmth 5150 How do you like the Axe I/O?

That was one of the best decisions I've made as far as using amp sims are concerned. It definitely made playing the guitar much more enjoyable, so hopefully IK can sort this out quickly. Like Grem said, send a PM to Peter....he'll escalate it for you.

Hi Mesh,

I just received an invoice this morning, so will not have an opportunity to try em out until next week or later, but looking forward to it.
