Keni - I tried a project on my system (win 7 v 2019.5) and trying to move or copy an open VV clip results in a Cakewalk crash every time - well 5/5 attempts. Bounce to clip first and it works as you'd expect. I also tried on the last version of Platinum and everything works as expected - clip moves, audible and no crashes, so although the problem I am getting with CW is different to yours it would seem that there is certainly something affecting VV in 2019.05. I don't have any older versions of CW to try it on so can't help you with that.

I am using the latest Cakewalk (2019.05) and Sound Canvas VA. I can change to other bank instruments in the Sound Canvas VA control panel, but they are not saved. How do I change to other bank variations like Slow Violin 041 version 008 (CC00)?

No, that's the previous version. 1903 is the latest (the first two numbers are the year, e.g. 2019, and the last two the month it was "meant" to be released e.g. March).

If your Windows is 64-bit, then I would install the 64-bit version of Sonar. That will still scan and use your 32-bit plugins, but you will also be able to run 64-bit plugins as well. Agree with using the plugin installers, if the plugin came with one. Some plugins require more than just the .dll to work. For example, some plugin installers may also create folders in some or all of the following: Program Files, Program Data, Documents, entries in the Windows registry, etc. Not running the setup for them is a recipe for troubles. Then once you have Sonar X2 setup and running, you could install the free Cakewalk by BandLab side by side and it will be able to use your X2 (and other) plugins. Cakewalk offers the very latest version of the DAW, which is a currently updated version (May 2019) of Sonar Platinum (last updated Oct 2017), minus some 3rd party content. But you don't really need those missing extras since you will be bringing your own, and you get an up to date core DAW!

The 2019 mix is definetly more clear. I like the song. Both mixes are fine IMHO. But if I had to pick one, it would be the 2019 mix for sure. I think the drums are a little too up front in the beginning of the song when they come in. However, they are perfect towards the last part of the song. And the guitar note held toward the end of the song was really standing out on the first mix, I'd say a bit too much. In the new mix it doesn't stand out as much, but I would still taper it down a little. Beautiful song. I enjoyed listening to both versions.

I've been playing around with it and frankly I'm a bit underwhelmed. I agree with Glyn that is does sound digital. I suspect it is the quality of the factory presets and applied effects but haven't had a chance to play with making sounds yet. But I just didn't get that 'wow' that I got when I first played a D50 or FM8. We're also in 2019 and expectations are higher. There are a few presets I really like though. I'm not sure I like the Best of bank much at all. I'm sure it can be pushed to sound much better. I'm surprised there aren't more and better sounds when it ships.

I bought the amp in 1995 new. I love it but it's a little heavy. Sounds great. A while back I got a Rivera Rock Crusher and I started really driving it. So much fun!! But now, as the tubes warm up the volume drops precipitously. So I'm thinking I need to replace tubes. I had a couple of AX7s laying around for mics and I switched them in. I replaced 2 of the 3, but didn't fix things. So then, what do I need to buy?? To sequence with NI Bettery 4, I modified rows of Step Sequencer on Cakewalk 2019.05 ver. At the first clip on NI Battery 4 track, there was no issue. However, when I try to create a seccond clip (another pattern) on the same track, I have to modify rows, again. The Step Sequencer settings return to the default. This is very uncomfortable. Is it possible to keep Step Sequencer's settings on the same track?
