About Me

  1. Another enjoyable one Kenny. I don't know if this has been discussed before but each song in it's own thread works for me - some days (like today) my "at work playlist" is this sub forum and it helps me quickly and easily see what's new vs. ongoing discussion on something I've heard. Music is meant to be shared and I don't think anyone should feel awkward making a new post for each song. Looking forward to your next...
  2. @Psalmist35, Great rendition . Good work with the mix. Also, thank you for enabling download. This is now in frequent rotation on my Christmas playlist.
  3. Also notice that Playlist window sizing will not allow stretching to bottom when using fullscreen without jumping to top of screen. Does not maintain location when moving from full screen to normal display size.
  4. After further investigation: A project that contains a loop that is saved in the "ON" state will load by itself in the "On" state. The same project when loaded from the playlist will load with the Loop function in the "Off" state and "crash/end" playback at the end of the loop marker.
  5. (This should be the playlist for their whole new album, Mind Over Matter.)

  7. Hey guys! Let me present our latest effort - Ashen Scoring Cello with intro offer. $99 (FULL PRICE $139) UNTIL 20TH OCTOBER. Ashen Scoring Cello is a solo cello library with an intimate tone, born out of insomnia and the idea of minimal post-classical compositions, trailer music, and post-horror soundtracks with its woebegone atmosphere. It concentrates on a highly expressive and emotive playing style. Every note is sampled with multiple dynamics in a musical context from real performances. It gives more general musicality and energy. In addition to standard and non-standard articulations, this instrument contains a unique Performance Designer engine that can bring life and a unique atmosphere to your composition and gives control over the textures. Ashen Scoring Cello is not yet another run-of-the-mill strings library. Our instrument is designed to work in a wide context. From dark ambient and experimental to orchestral and trailer music. For more info, please visit our website: https://wavelet-audio.com/ashen-scoring-cello/ Demos: We wanted to make the demos in various styles. You can listen to it here: https://wavelet-audio.com/playlist/ashen-scoring-cello-demos Videos: Thanks for your attention, guys ❤️ Evgeny & WA Team

  9. Nice tune John! Clever lyrics! I couldn't resist checking out the rest of the playlist. 😄 I am a fan of acoustic folk and Americana style music (and all good music in general).

  11. My Jesus <- my personal favorite. Too bad it's not on Spotify, it would be on my every day playlist. You've got a great idea here, Jesse. Has this effort sparked any creativity that you wouldn't have otherwise experienced?
  12. The other sounds of the Pacific Northwest! 😁 Note that this is actually a playlist of 70+ Grunge songs. 😉

    2 Loop Construction questions

Sorry for the late reply but, I do know this already. Believe me, I tried clicking on the lines but nothing happens. I believe that only works for automation on the playlist but for the loop costruction view, its not working. Try it yourself. Still though thanks for replying
  14. What I found helped me out was to find an album (or playlist) of 12 or so songs that are not overly complicated drums wise but has a variety of tempos and styles. Put headphones on ( so you can't hear how much you suck) and play along with it everyday from start to finish. Keep adding different songs as you progress once you've sort of mastered the first batch. I found this forced me to practice for a full hour and keep in time. It also gave me confidence to try a few rolls and fills. I have a set of the Yamaha digital drums and they are OK for goofing around and recording midi. But your not going to improve much unless you use real drums. What I'm going to do is build a custom kit with the Digital kit for Kick, toms and then percusion. The snare, hats and cymbals will be real. The only digital kits worth owning are like the $ 5,000 Roland.
  15. This should be a playlist to all of the Goblin's Club album. So many interesting songs! I went through about 20 TD albums over the weekend (out of the 184 discs that I have!😲).
  16. I thought I would try my hand at an action underscore. I appreciate the feedback, it helps me improve. 19. This I believe is a long standing issue with the playlist. You might want to google it for an answer as I'm not sure anyone left here on the new forum still uses this feature. There were one or 2 on the old forum and they talked about this "bug" It's just that Cakewalk will think just about anything means the song has been altered and needs saving. Just ignore it. Funny you bring this up because I just was opening a bunch of old projects, hitting play then stop and closing, They all asked me if I wanted to save.
  20. Robert, the 3rd video in this playlist is Private. Judging by the 4th video, it may have some of the installation help I need. I have Cakewalk installed, but can't seem to get it to play any of the sample projects, even though I have ASIO4ALL loaded and can hear audio through my Focusrite Solo interface. Do you have a video troubleshooting that?
  21. Hey guys, thanks for checking out my music! If you'd like to hear the full album or any track in it's entirety go to the link above, scroll down to the small Youtube icon. That will take you to my artist channel...then just scroll down to Albums and you can either click on the album to hear it from start to end or click on the playlist link below and that will take you to the album itself with all the song links Work doesn't give me much free time during the week so I'll be back this weekend to spend some time....lots of posts, songs, and nearly nekkid ladies to catch up on...especially the ladies Bill
  22. All I can say Andy is, whatever you've been doing, keep it up! Your stuff sounds great on my systems. Right now, you're entire discography is at the top of my foobar2000 playlist of a couple of thousand songs. I always add new stuff at the bottom then keep forgetting that it loops to the top. I don't know how many I stop working and think "Ooo... Now that's nice!" only to realize the player had looped back to your stuff - lol! Ok, enough buttering up. Where's the next album Budsk? 😜
  23. As I listen to the 65 minutes of stuff I currently have on SoundCloud (as private tracks I hasten to add) I realise that I have it easy. I have embraced LUFS over the last two years and, thinking about it, it really does suit the kind of material I create. And that is why I am saying, "I have it easy." A very high proportion of my work is neither compressed or limited. Well, not entirely true, because I have recently been getting to grips with Pro-Q3's "dynamic EQ" tool. I like that, because it is a lot easier to use than compression where you have to understand all the various settings. With Pro-Q3's dynamic EQ, you just apply it... Nothing to learn other than understanding how it alters sounds. And I only really use it with individual notes that sometimes run riot at certain points, so, quite a narrow Q setting. And my number? -16 I tried -18 for a time, which gives you more dynamic range, but I felt that it was a bit too "quiet" even for my stuff. Every now and then I create something with percussion and I ramp it up to -14. Having said all that, I agree with that Scheps character in that we should mix to suit the material and not some arbitrary level set by others. Sure, there are times when a common level across various genres, or stuff that gets listened to together, is a big plus. You don't want to be reaching for the volume control because your playlist contains some tracks that were mixed and mastered back in the early seventies and some that were done in the late nineties. okay... carry on...
  24. Work I have left...from what I see when I click on each folder of the Theme Browser. Loop Construction View - 5 items Tempo View - 4 or 5 items Virtual Controller - 20+ items!!! Yuck! - I can revert them back to the original blue for now thankfully, instead of the current orange! Time Saver! Playlist - 6 Items Audio Snap - 12 items..I did complete a couple in there... Vocal Sync - 3 items Step Record - I think can be left as is...18 items I can assume the original Dark Aqua theme did not have many of these pages updated...This does not look like all new pages...then again maybe they are newer than when this theme was first made after all...
  25. I think it was yesterday or early this morning that i checked out this thread to see who he was. Didn't recognize his name. Then i logged out and surfed a couple of other sites while i started winamp and continued to play my playlist. And...there he was...playing Orange Blossom Special, live. Excellent song and performence. 🙏 Small world.
