  3. When I select whatsoever track bar in the track view, I see in the time ruler that when I finish to select the track number becomes something like a greek alphabet letter. This happens after 2019.07 update.

  7. I have a project in which automation lanes are being completely ignored. Track, aux track, bus, all ignored. I've just tried with native volume and pan. Other projects work as expected. Is there a project-wide automation toggle or something that might explain this? Using Bandlab 2019.07

  13. It used to be relatively simple. If one person owned all rights to all songs on an album including the sound recording, a single $65 registration covered all. Now as of March 15, 2019 this has a limit of 10 songs ($55) with no apparent way to add more. Their guidlines claim that if there are more than 10, the only method is to file each song individually ($35)... So a 12 song album will now cost over $400! Outrageous! I'm hoping to find they have some way to copyright 10 as one and add 2 more? But I have little hope. I filed a question to them regarding this but past experience tells me they will not help or reply with anything useful. Is Trump somehow involved in this? I am angry beyond words! I was about to copyright my new album but was stopped by this new arrangement. Does anyone here know of this and have any advice for struggling artists who don't have that kind of money. It seems my only option is to drop songs from the album to meet the 10 song limit... Ugly for the buyers. Makes a 10-3 minute song album a limit for 30 minutes. I am stymied!

  15. Lots of good suggestions and ideas to explore - so thanks everyone. I did some more testing and checked my notes some more and it turns out that I do get a dropout at 4:17 whenever I record a midi track, but not always on an audio track. I do have a few songs that do consistently get an audio dropout at 4:17 and this does happen every time. If it were 1 song I'd attribute it to a corrupt CWP file, but it has happened too many times on different songs over many months, maybe a year. I record quite a lot, but I don't have that many songs that are longer than 4:17, so this doesn't come up that often. My MOTU audio card has Midi also, so I'll try some tests with using a different midi interface and not use the MOTU midi. I also found somethings in the event viewer that has me wondering. Around the time and date I had a midi dropout, Under event viewer/windows logs/ System I found this Background Intelligent Transfer Service The start type of the Background Intelligent Transfer Service service was changed from auto start to demand start. Next time I have a midi dropout, if this same thing comes up I'll disable it and see if that helps. I need to run Latency monitor to see what that gets, in the past it was fine. I have my computer tuned for real time audio, yet sometimes Windows updates change those settings, so I looked that up and found many settings were enabled, so I disabled them again. If anyone has a more updated list of real time audio settings, it would be worth comparing to my old lists. I've disabled USB sleep settings I've noticed before getting a dropout later than 4:17 only to find out that I punched in and the midi track was 4:17 in length and then it stopped. I also went back to a problem song for audio dropouts and started the recording at 14 sec and it did dropout at 4:33 after going 4:17, so it's not an end of the song issue. I am using 2019.07 with the same results. I"m wondering if I should do a clean install of CbB. I've been using Cakewalk since the DOS days and this computer for 4 years. Upgraded from WIN 8.1 to WIN 10. I think this dropout problem is related to another problem. If I leave the computer for a few minutes or hours, when I come back I always see the audio dropout message at the lower right, even though there was no activity since I was gone. I have to click the top bar of CbB to bring the focus back to it. And sometimes when I'm playing the midi piano, the piano stops responding and I have to hit the spacebar 2x to get the focus back on the piano, then it plays again. Something is clearly happening with dropouts for no apparent reason, like the usual reasons of many tracks, FX, etc

  18. If that isn't easy enough for you, then you can purchase a Smart Oven that can burn down your house for you thanks to its interactive app! Smart ovens have been turning on overnight and preheating to 400 degrees At least three smart June Ovens have turned on in the middle of the night and heated up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit or higher. The ovens’ owners aren’t sure why this happened, and June tells The Verge that user error is at fault. The June Oven debuted in 2015 as a $1,495 countertop oven* that uses a camera and computer vision to identify food that’s been placed inside. The company raised nearly $30 million in funding and released its second-generation version in 2018 for $599. It’s billed as “seven appliances in one”: an air fryer, dehydrator, slow cooker, broiler, toaster, warming drawer, and convection countertop oven. It also pairs with an app that allows people to choose their temperature and cooking settings, as well as live stream their food as it cooks thanks to the built-in camera. https://www.theverge.com/2019/8/14/20802774/june-smart-oven-remote-preheat-update-user-error *That's what us old folks called a toaster oven that you can get at Walmart for $30

  20. I received the Big Fish download as an add-on with Sonar Home Studio. I just tried some of the loops in the 2019.07 release of Cakewalk by Bandlab and they worked fine for me. As an aside, the loops can be downloaded direct from Big Fish Audio. The Sonar download is a combined download of the six, free loop sample packs. Here is a link from Big Fish: https://www.bigfishaudio.com/free-loops.html

  22. 2019/08/15: v1.0.7 fixed yet another potential CPU consumption issue
  23. Hi, thanks for replies. I have latest version installed (according to BandLab assistant), because it's really worth to upgrade every time new version is available, but obviously some "corner" of 2019.07-hotfix 2 remains unresolved. I will contact support@ with more detailed data Thanks again for sent links Have a nice weekend, Dare
  24. - You could send Cakewalk a project directly if you'd like. Here's the link - You can also open a project in Safe mode. This might help see if it is a plug in. Maybe not the plug ins fault either, maybe the way cakewalk is seeing it, Open GL, exc. - There was also a bug fixed in this last update (2019.07-hotfix 2) Crash on opening project after closing another. Hope these help
  25. From Brian’s treble booster to his three-amp live setup and carefully curated effects selection, guitarists can enjoy new amp, cab and stompbox models in a convenient package, along with presets covering his celebrated discography. Each model was created with the supervision of Brian May and his long-time technical team, to carefully replicate his rig. A key element of Brian’s distinct sound comes from his Red Special guitar that, famously, he hand built with his father in the 1960s from spare parts and household materials. Because the guitar is such an integral part of his rig, IK’s engineers went the extra mile to even create a new stompbox effect that helps simulate the Red Special’s tone and controls. This offers guitarists a more authentic musical experience that pays homage to this living legend. What’s included in AmpliTube Brian May Available in convenient desktop app and plug-in for any DAW, AmpliTube Brian May offers up to 11 new models including 2 amps, 3 cabinets, and up to 6 stompbox effects. Included are unique offerings such as a new pedal modeling Brian’s Red Special guitar and a model of the one-of-a-kind, home-built “Deacy” Amp (with user adjustable battery power!) originally created by Queen bassist John Deacon, after modifying an old radio. Other highlights incorporate his famous triple-amp live setup; tone-shaping effects; and even a harmonizer for nailing those Queen stacked leads in a single take. Amplifiers Based on the classic triple VOX® AC30™ setup, the BM 30 offers three amps with the effects chain in a Wet-Dry-Wet configuration to match Brian May’s iconic setup. The BM DK is a model of the small “Deacy” amp that became the trademark sound of many Queen songs. Cabinets The 2x12 BM 30 Blue (named the 2x12 BM1 in the Brian May collection for iOS) is a triple cabinet based on the cab section of a VOX AC30 equipped with with Celestion™ Alnico Blue speakers. The 2x12 BM 30 H70 (2x12 BM2 in the Brian May collection for iOS) is with Celestion G12H Anniversary speakers. In addition, the 1x6 BM DK provides the cabinet section of the BM DK amp, featuring a 6” speaker. Stompboxes The Red Special, created from a detailed study of Brian May’s famous guitar, helps add the unique tonality and controls of the Red Special itself. Based on the original KAT® Treble Booster, the Treble Booster enriches guitar tone similar to Brian May’s by boosting it before it reaches the amp. May Wah was based on a rackmount Dunlop® Cry Baby® wah, modeled in the exact configurations Brian May uses to shape his tone, while the FOX Phaser was based on the unique and distinctive sound of the fOXX® Foot Phaser. Star Gate is a noise gate that helps clean up the signal chain, minimizing the noise feeding Brian’s unique amp and pedal setup. The iPhone and iPad version, the Brian May Collection (which is inside the existing AmpliTube app) also adds the 30 – a 30-band Graphic EQ, with +/- 15 dB boost per band and a+/- 15dB Level control, to help craft a more exact match of Brian’s tones. This pedal is already included for free in AmpliTube Custom Shop for Mac/PC. Discography presets A full set of painstakingly created song-based discography presets were compiled by Jamie Humphries, guitarist for the official Queen stage production “We Will Rock You,” who has also performed with Queen and Brian May. These presets allow users to dial up their favorite Brian May tones instantly and were constructed under Brian’s personal supervision. Options, pricing and availability AmpliTube Brian May (for Mac/PC) runs inside AmpliTube Custom Shop, a free download available to all. The new models are available now for purchase as a bundle from the Custom Shop, the IK Multimedia online store and from IK authorized dealers worldwide for $/€99.99 (excl. taxes). No previous purchase of AmpliTube is required. The new models will show up as an optional purchase for existing users of AmpliTube 4 upon updating to the latest version. The Brian May Collection (iPhone and iPad) is available via in-app purchase from within AmpliTube CS for iPhone or iPad, for $19.99. Individual models may also be purchased a la carte (Stomp FX - $3.99 each; amps - $6.99 each). All models are also part of IK’s All-In Bundle 2019 collection, which is available for in-app purchase.
