  1. More Kirby, as always well done! Some of the crits are good advice, but life changing? Your song, your production. I will say I much prefer handling the drum mix in CbB; EZD2, SuperiorD3, MODO, etc.; rather than a 2 track from the VSTi. The Paul sounds great (never bonded with TH-U). The 4040 seems to like your voice, that's a good thing! (not a big ART fan TBH, but its working well for you!) πŸ‘'s... t
  2. I've mentioned this before, my wife's uncle was the Principal Clarinetist for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra for many years. According to Dick, the Principal Clarinetist is the Stud Lead Guitarist of the Orchestra (my words not his). Does this have anything to do with 3rd movement, no not really, just an interesting anecdote regarding the mindset "legit" musicians. ("legit" is in Dick's words, I never pressed him to define "legit"...) Excellent as always Jerry! t
  3. Often that's the mark of good songwriting, let the listener take it where he/she needs to go... Well I doubt this is Agent P's first run at songwriting, but it does seem he has "bonded" with CbB. A little crit (or not), I found the guitar "scratches" right and left at 2:11 and 2:14 a bit "jarring" (too loud), but you returned to that (sorta) at 3:43 going into the outro so I get it; me, I turn it down a little. Your song, your production... πŸ‘ tom just so Agent P knows, that's tom with a small "t"; lots of Toms on the forum
  4. Jesse, we feel your pain! You've featured an organ in the last two, that's something new; right? Off topic, but we'd love to see the sky out here on the left coast. Take care my brother... t does anyone else see the face of a turtle (or tortoise) in Jesse's avatar? or is it just me... flashbacks from the 60's maybe?
  5. Anders, Hit "share" on your UTube vid, then hit "copy" and paste it (ctrl+v) into your Cake post, that will put vid in your post. (it took me forever to get this right...) Always a Dylan fan, well done! tom
  6. @James ArgoAlbert needs the install for StudioMix Tom Albert, Members will get a notification when you use the @

    TIME

That seems to be a common malady these days. Maybe, sounds like Freddy to me; this and your surf excursion (and I hear a little of that in the solo guitar verb here) prove you're not a "one trick pony" my friend! many thumbs up here... t
  8. A bit more rockin' on this one! Yeah man! Yes, yes; we work hard at keeping that sexy sax man away from my wife.... πŸ‘'s t
  9. Anything worth doing, is worth doing right! I think (and it seems the forum agrees) you can print it now... Beautiful, that's all I have to say... t
  10. Yep! πŸ˜‰ In for a penny, in for a pound.... πŸ™ƒ πŸ‘ had to jump forward on the timeline, but I wasn't gonna miss another one!
  11. Man oh man, two in a row I've missed; damn! Sorry Jesse... t I think I've put August to bed now.
  12. We've all been there! I might be a bit more aggressive with the verb/delay, but... πŸ‘ t

    Weary

πŸ˜‰ Keep it up Doug, keep it up! t
  14. Electronica is not in my wheelhouse (old rocker syndrome here; what can I say, guitarist of a certain age....) But, you held my to the end, so good on ya Dalai (lots of toms on the forum)! πŸ‘ keep on rockin' electronicaing in the Cake world!

    What Storm

How did it take me so long to find this? Why am I asking you? Working that Superior D Wookiee! πŸ˜‰ t

    Relaxitude

Man, I like this. Not the rock/blues genre I'm into, but I enjoy getting out of that when I'm listening. Just as the title implies, my 'tude has been relaxed; and boy don't I need that once in awhile.... t kinda fell through the cracks...

    KC Strut

High praise from all; Well Done! Great tone, and that delay; priceless! I too hear the Steely influence, in a good, good way.... πŸ‘ t
  18. @Fleerdownload both demos, that’s what I did (and the B3) I was going in anyway, but it hit 3 free before the demos expired. I have EZD2, Superior 3; ModoDrum sounds pretty good to me, but there’s no accounting for taste. t
  19. Unfortunately not all VST3 are created equal. It’s a test and then choose. Sucks, but there you go. They say VST3 is the future, let’s hope developers get it figured out. tom
  20. I have a tutorial for installing and setting up the Tascam FW-1884 on my website. (link in my signature) You can ignore most of it, just jump to setting up the Control Surface. HTH tom check your C drive Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Surfaces for StudioMix.dll If its not there we can ask SCook how to get it installed...
