  4. You can uninstall your current build and reinstall the 2019.07 release build from BandLab Assistant to grab the update (all of your settings will persist okay).
  5. I'm currently running CbB 2019.07.79 according to my CbB About screen; My Bandlab app tells me I'm up to date. So, I download the Early access installer from the supplied link and get an error saying that the installer will only update 25.07.0.79. Isn't that what I have? I've tried running the update as an Administrator.

  7. re-install fixed it. (this is 2019 - now in 2020 the same issue and re-install didn't fix it. Bye bye

  9. Hi In the year 2019 is still necessary with windows 10 have a dual boot for DAW and general purpose? Thank you and forgive my bad English.
  10. I'm also running build 2019-07 build 79, 64 bit, and lenses are seriously messed up. Everytime I switch to a different screenset, it's as if Cakewalk randomly decides what to display in the screenset. I have "None" selected for the lens. Once I switch to the screenset, I have to select "None" again in the lenses to fix the issue. You can see the UI going through some processing, and then everything appears correctly. Anyone else having issues like this?
  11. Thanx Chuck E Baby for your reply! Safe mode can only be used to selectively choose which VST to load or skip when opening a project. However, my problem occurs at launch of Cakewalk prior to even having the ability to navigate to the "File" pull down menu. And the problem also happens after closing a project in cakewalk. I never had any of such issues before the 07 2019 release. I'm curious to learn if I am the only person experiencing this problem.
  12. At launch Cakewalk is not responding for several minutes. Problem occurs after splash screen disappears but prior to the VST scan and prior to the 'Cakewalk Start Screen'. The same problem occurs after closing a project. Problem started with the 2019 07 release and was not resolved in build 70. Been using Cakewalk/Sonar over 25 years. Never had this issue prior to this release. To get ahead of the most obvious question: -> No, i did not install any new plugins.

  16. @Noel Borthwick Thank you for looking into this, it might be my old O1/Wpro keyboard, that's the 1st suspect, hope it's not the Fastlane USB midi interface, I have the latest driver. When you yanked the USB cable did it cause an audio dropout? Oh and I found another "Windows 10 May 2019 Update version 1903" known issue, namely "Error Event 455, ESENT" errors occurring with high frequency for Logging, due to a missing folder, and there were a lot... Fixed it now, don't know what side effects this might have caused if any.

  18. Thanks to everyone in development team for the continued feature additions and progress with Cakewalk. The Playlist however has been sorely neglected IMHO. There are reported issues that have been ignored for many years. It was great to see the 150+ bug fixes in the last release, but very disappointing to once again find the Playlist not on the list of items getting attention. Here is the Oldest "Bug" I know of AGAIN! With Playlist "Enabled": Begin playback of a Set List of at least 4 projects. During playback "Mute" and "Unmute" any track. The purpose here is to create one of many scenarios that could cause the (*) asterisk to appear after the project title. This of course indicates that the project has been edited in some way. After the project has completed playing and the "Next" project is under way: Select the "Window" drop down menu. You will now see the the 1st project is still open. This behavior will continue until many projects are left open and the computer runs out of resources and CRASHES! Projects should close after playing regardless of changes to the project without saving any changes to the project. The last time that I know of ( this is a long time ago-memory?) that this behavior did not exist is Sonar 1. The playlist was then removed in Sonar 2 and inserted again with Sonar 3 and the bug described. IN the current release 2019.07 this behavior persists as well as: Lyrics window placed on extended screen does not display as "Full Screen" when Playlist is "Enabled" These behaviors leave me only able to use the Playlist as a way to "select projects" and to load and play one at a time. Better than searching directories for projects for sure but not the way the Playlist used to function. I have been a user since the DOS versions and Cakewalk Live were all the rage. and worked well I might add. Cakewalk has been my choice forever because it was and remains the only DAW with the Playlist feature that IMHO is (when working properly) is the best concept for this feature for the "live' preforming musician. Sorry to say that I know many "live" performers who have abandoned Cakewalk because of the endless problems with thsi feature and the complete lack of attention to the issues. I have reported these problems by forum, by phone, chat, demonstrated them with remote desktop sessions and still nothing has been corrected. On a personal level, I started with Cakewalk in my late 30's. At age 67, I am still using it exclusively. I would really appreciate a version with the Playlist behaving correctly before I am either too old to perform or no longer drawing breath! Can anyone there please give this some attention! A great product needs to be better than the Playlist feature is at this point! I am here and willing to help in any way that serves this goal. Best to All on the Programming Team, Sincerely, Roger Cousins
  19. They are different dialogs. You used the Meter/Key Signature dialog which works at the beginning of the song. I used the Measure Beat Meter dialog which doesn't work at the beginning of the song. I think I have the latest version as well. Ver: 2019.07 (Build 79)
  20. I tried to write some small suggestions for Cakewalk based on little experiences with other audio & Midi workstations. Of course these are personal suggestions, in my point of view. Surely you have other points of view, but I believe that sharing opinions and opinions is the strength of the Internet, even if the Web has finally become the opposite place, or rather that of individualism conformed to mass homologation ... Also here there is a notable failure of the Internet project by human nature ... But these are other speeches ... You can read some suggestions about the blog I created ... here: https://efremc79.blogspot.com/2019/09/cakewalk-bandlab-suggestion-i.html (In the other links there are other suggestions)

  22. Thanks and agree 100 per cent - and their latest product EzBass is coming out in Q4 2019! 😂
  23. @Noel Borthwick Additional investigation led to the following findings: Because I guessed that it may be related to the weak laptop PC (i5-5200U, 8GB, HD Hybrid SSHD 5400), I tried to repro on my main Daw computer (i5-8600K @3.6GHz, 16GB, SSD). In the first moment I couldn't reproduce. But then I suspected that the Focusrite audio interface on the laptop could be the problem, because I use the same CbB version and settings on both systems. Using the Focusrite interface on the desktop PC succeeded! The problem is definitely related to the Scarlett Solo audio interface, respectively to the Focusrite driver (4.63.23.563, 2019-06-19). I am not able to say if it is the sole culprit, often it is a combination of several things. By the way I use Windows 10 Pro on both PCs, version 1803 on the desktop and version 1903 on the laptop. Marc
  24. Thanks for the tip. I used the re-size boxes (the ones you drag. not the ones you enter numbers in) and that seems to have worked 🙂 !!!!! BTW, the original was 445 pixels by something and the forum interface said to enter something smaller than 445. That's when I decided to try dragging the re-size boxes. UPDATE [2019-09-14]: See discussion below about the use of handles to resize images. In short, it appears the above was either a fluke or there has been a change; it cannot be done. If that changes, I will try update this message so its immediately below the test. Apologies if I got your hopes up. 😞
  25. I don't know if this has any bearing but here goes... In my project in the tracks view I've got 3 synths (primary output & midi tracks) , 2 with midi input set, 1 with input echo on. 3 aux tracks associated with 1 synth that has no midi input set.. and a bunch of FX plugins. In the PRV I was editiing the midi track for the synth set with input echo on, which was shown selected in the PRV & the track view. On switching from the PRV to the track view the dreaded audio dropout toast popped up which I ignored... Now this is the weird part, at this point I stepped away from the DAW to briefly take care of something else, after a few minutes I heard a chord of random notes from the selected synth with input echo on. I returned to the DAW stopped the audio engine and on restarting it heard the decaying chord notes and in the PRV a random set of piano roll keys were greyed out and could not be reset! Fortunately I could save my changes & rebooted the DAW to clear the greyed out keys. This feels like something strange is going on in the output stream, quite what I've no idea.. Any suggestions?? Monday FYI just found out the latest w10 monthly update "August 30, 2019—KB4512941 (OS Build 18362.329)" did do something! It caused a 20% cpu spike due to a cortana bug, because I had searching the web from Windows Desktop Search disabled. It's enabled now & the cpu is back to normal, will see if this bug was affecting the dropout frequency, who knows what was behind the spike & what, if any, side effects were caused...
