  1. Usually duplicates from double pasting a clip will show up in different take lanes. Alternately, the event list view may handy for inspecting MIDI data. If this is a MIDI data problem. Copy/paste does not change the data in the clip.
  2. The closest thing to data view provided in the OP is the Event List View
  3. Before spending a dime check out the free world. You did not mention if you tried the other two reverbs. To supplement the plug-ins bundled with CbB pick up the MFreeFXBundle. As the name implies, it is free although, there is a licensed version which is a good value when it is on sale. It includes MConvolutionEZ with a bunch of IR files. you may find something in it that you like. While CbB includes REmatrix Solo, it is a pain to load 3rd party IR files into it. There are quite a few free IR collections on the net and a tool like MConvoluionEZ is a lot easier to add file to than REmatrix Solo.
  4. There are a variety of ways to enter MIDI data. Many use a real MIDI keyboard but CbB has a virtual controller which uses the PC keyboard or touch screen. Most virtual instruments work the same and Studio Instruments are no exception. Add the instrument to a project Set the input to your controller, enabled the record and input echo buttons on the track Play a few notes on the controller to confirm the synth makes sound (some load a default preset, some require the user to load a preset). Try different presets. Start record in the transport. Cakewalk will start recording the MIDI data from the controller. Stop the transport and turn of the record and input echo buttons. Without a real controller, it may be easier to enter MIDI data using a different method. Either by step recording or one of the other views: the step sequencer, piano roll view and staff view. Or use existing MIDI loops. The Studio instruments include MIDI loops. Instead of loading the MIDI loops in the pattern grid pads, drag them to the track. It is possible to play the MIDI loops in the pattern grid using controller to send MIDI notes 7 through 11. This is in the documentation for the plug-in in the "Using the MIDI Patterns" section. To open the help, hit the F1 key when the plug-in UI has focus. May want to check out the videos in the tutorial section of this forum too.
  5. Sounds like a sample rate problem. Verify the audio interface and the project are set to the same sample rate.
  6. Short answer...yes. There are several threads in the old forum about it. Here area a few links - http://forum.cakewalk.com/USB-Foot-Control-m3735786.aspx http://forum.cakewalk.com/I-would-like-to-set-up-a-foot-switch-to-punch-in-out-record-from-motu-device-in-Splat-m3616550.aspx http://forum.cakewalk.com/MIDI-Foot-Controller-for-Start-and-Stop-m3195641.aspx http://forum.cakewalk.com/The-Handy-Dandy-USB-foot-Controller-m2998482.aspx
  7. There must be hundreds of reverb plug-ins. Not sure what will sound good to you. Have you tried the other two reverb plug-ins bundled with CbB, Sonitus fx: reverb and REmatrix solo?
  8. This still may be something the plug-in manufacturer must address. Try creating a hang dump and supplying it to BandLab.
  9. My guess is support for OpenGL will not be better with older drivers regardless the fix should work for drivers with the necessary OpenGL support but the plug-in graphics will run slower.
  10. This is indicative of a video driver that does not support OpenGL 3.2 Fortunately, there is a config option for the LP EQ and LP MB to handle this - Go to C:\Cakewalk Content\LP EQ\Settings Open LPEQ.cws in notepad Locate the string EnableOpenGL="1" Change it to EnableOpenGL="0" and save the file Repeat the process for LP MB using the LPMB.cws in C:\Cakewalk Content\LP MB\Settings I do not have the other plug-ins and cannot offer any suggestion other than to contact the manufacturer. Their plug-ins may be looking for features not available in the video driver as well.
  11. BA downloads installers into %appdata%\bandlab-assistant\Downloads and deletes them after they are run.
  12. According to Noel this fixes several things As with all recent Melodyne releases, I save my old installers, just in case. Actually, I save all old installers regardless of the manufacturer.
  13. I suppose it is possible but can't say I have ever had the option re-enable as a result of updating SONAR or CbB. I have had the option off for years.
  14. This is why I have previously suggested the "Input Echo" button and function be disabled on tracks where input is set to None regardless of the "Always Echo Current MIDI Track" setting. Until something like this is implemented, the best thing to do is make sure to turn off "Always Echo Current MIDI Track" in preferences.
  15. I use the start screen but also wrote a replacement which allows me to launch projects using different versions of CbB (64 bit SONAR Platinum and Producer too). It also allows deleting entries from the CbB MRU used by the file menu/start screen and several ways to create and maintain lists of project, project template and MIDI files to display in the tool. The program is called Cakewalk LaunchPad and is available on my google page.
  16. That sounds like the old Cakewalk web site. There is a link to the correct support page in the Cakewalk by BandLab menu at the top of this forum. There is also a post about contacting support in the FAQ area above
  17. Those appear to be 32bit plug-ins. While the 32bit SI plug-ins should show up as instruments, the 64bit versions are bundled with CbB. Is it possible there is 32bit version of a Cakewalk Product also installed? If so, the best thing to do is remove the 32bit plug-in path(s) from the CbB VST scan path in preferences. If the 32bit path(s) must remain or these are really the 64bit plug-ins included with CbB somehow misidentified as 32bit FX plug-ins, try a VST reset on the same preferences page as the scan path entries.
  18. The state of the dirty flag does not matter. Saving a project, saves the screen layout. However, because the dirty flag is not set, it is easy to leave a project without saving the screen layout if it was changed after the last save.
  19. Both Perfect Space and VC-64 are 32bit plug-ins that have not been updated in years. I know there are those that treasure their old plug-ins but it is not too late to stop using them.
  20. Make sure to save the project after changing the layout. Changing the screen layout does not dirty the project so closing a project or CbB will not display a save reminder.
  21. FYI, the Elevate Mastering Bundle, another plug-in collection from Eventide on a different update schedule was updated April 9th (although Equivocate shows a May 17th update date). I do not recall seeing any announcement for this update (certainly don't expect one from Eventide - they are one of the worst in this regard). Both the bundle and EQ downloads are listed in the main download page link above.
