I'm trying to wrap my head around you artistically jack. This is interesting, especially the breakdown section. Again, hoping you're taking some "artistic" license with the lyrics and not being completely autobiographical. That aside, I think you've captured the tracks better, I'm not hearing what I call "digititus" (digital overs distortion). Mix seems "cleaner" overall. t if I may, you're delivering a lot of lyrics here and to my ear it gets in the way of the meter. Now its your song, your production; sometimes finding a way to convey the message with fewer syllables goes a long way to make it flow melodically (though if that gets in the way of your story...). Just my nickel98's worth, so take it with a grain of salt!
  2. Sorry Zargg, I need one more app like a case of... (you get the picture). I've complained often about the BandLab app making the casual listener "log in" to listen. again sorry man... t
  3. That drum breakdown at 1:4? is KILLER, and the bass that follows ๐Ÿ‘'s! The whole tune, as always, first class... t and I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that kick drum, plenty of oomph and that nice defining top snap. Oh yeah
  4. Getting a good drum track is a time consuming process for those of us who are NOT drummers. Personally I have a small fortune invested in EZD and Superior 3 and lots of Toon's midi packs. Even with the enhanced search functions in both, its a nerve wracking process trying to get it right. t
  5. I'll second (third?) that... I see hear that. t
  6. Played with a lot of those, sorry to say..... t
  7. The "bones" are here, I'd vary the drums a bit; correct me if I'm wrong, its a loop right? I get that, keep us posted... t
  8. There's some timing issues, I think, in a couple spots. Mix wise a little judicious eq would clean up a little mud here and there. If I were mixing (and this a purely "taste" thing), a little ambiance on the guitars. t
  9. As always Makke a big ๐Ÿ‘'s from me... t
  10. Written then, redone now? Or is this the original recording. Iโ€™m with Wooks, nice funky groove. t
  11. Sometimes less is better. t

    Part 5

๐Ÿ‘โ€™s t is it fair to say you are all healed up and your chops are as good as (maybe even better) ever?
  13. Interesting arrangement of a โ€œclassicโ€ for sure. A shame itโ€™s kind of fallen thru the cracks. I was going to โ€œwelcomeโ€ you to the forum, but I see youโ€™ve been on the forum for a while, but donโ€™t post much. tom
  14. The snare certainly is upfront. But not in an offending way here. As always top shelf HS! t
  15. Good advice from Wookiee for going forward, but I think this tune can stand on its own. Next tune expand a bit. tom
  16. ๐Ÿ‘โ€™s Freddy! Iโ€™ll second that. t
  17. Like the ambiance on both of them! t
  18. ๐Ÿ‘โ€™s Kevin, put it to bed... t
  19. The issues are as a VST? Or standalone? t
  20. Fred I've truly enjoyed everything you've posted this year! Here's to a healthy, happy, productive New Year... t
  21. I'm sorry I missed it! t things are moving so fast I can't keep up, trying to do the "oldest" first; oh well ๐Ÿ™ƒ
  22. I like this one! Didn't give me vertigo ๐Ÿ™ƒ, and liked the tune as well ๐Ÿ‘. t I won't comment on the length (oh damn, I already did...)
  23. I think you got it working, although I think I'd keep the kick going in the "breakdowns" (or whatever you want to call them). Overall, your tune, I happy with it! t
  24. EJ's Candle in the Wind for Diana's funeral. t lots of guitar stuff (more awed than goosebumped), but nothing like the above performance...
