  1. Don't look back - something's sneaking up behind you.
  2. One less since I left. I've always been adaptable, malleable, changeable, flexible, and ductile.
  3. It's cool to audition vsti's in a project, you get to learn a lot by putting them through their paces. I liked your tune and the standout for me was the Vocalise. I could see that blending well with a lot of projects. The ending just sort of faded into the Irish/Celtic mist rather than resolve anything but I think your intent here was experimentation rather than song structure, correct? In any case my blood pressure lowered and I thank you for that! Nice one. cheers, -Tom
  4. I think this one has greatness in it. I wanted some more punch in the drums when they come in at :44. Really cool vocals, I'd bring 'em up a bit in the mix . . . The guitar tones are pretty awesome and clearly mixed. Maybe overall, louder everything? Might be a mastering thing for down the line. I especially appreciate the alternating soft / driving sections in the arrangement, good dynamics in this tune. cheers, -Tom
  5. from your blurb . . . "Multiform, fragile, inescapable, these perdition and redemption stories are like a mirror and a labyrinth of the human being" I think this nails it! I liked your song and it carves out a sonic territory for sure. Plus it's catchy as hell! Now, forgive me, but I recently watched the Eurovision parody by Will Ferrell and I couldn't help indulging a little whim, thinking about how suitable your song might be for such a thing. I don't know what regard you have for Eurovision Song Contest - what do you think? cheers, -Tom
  6. Having heard I think nearly everything you have posted, I think this has got to be one of your better mixes. Very clean and the vocal pops! The excellent panned guitar parts in the chorus sit on the edges perfectly. Only thing I could ask about is, you seem to have a shaker or tambourine or such? Is it sitting right on the same beat as the hi hat? Or did you double the hi hats? Something could be cleaner in that area, they are comb filtering or flanging it up a bit. It's not a deal breaker. I haven't heard any song from you that isn't very very well arranged and constructed, and this is no exception. Thanks for sharing your work! cheers, -Tom
  7. I thought by the intro we had unearthed an undicovered Steely Dan track! Love the mix, it's perfect! Great skills!!! Great chops everywhere! cheers, -Tom
  8. Very nice vocal tone, and cool rendition of Personal Jesus which I never thought would get the rock treatment! PJ the mix needs a bit of air added back in? Maybe less compression on drums, less rvb on guitar, that sort of thing. Could maybe use a "sparkle" plugin on the master bus? Is this a 100% Bandlab stock plugins production? I like the drive of the groove, but the boxy mix needs a bit more up top, if that makes sense. Solid bones, though. cheers, -Tom
  9. This is pretty great! I like the glitch background stuff, and cool when the tablas come in! Anything that grooves this hard is a winner in my book! at 2:06, you could add some cool hand claps on the two and four. Just an unasked-for idea! guitars have a great tone and the harmony phrasing of your guitars is very spot on! I'd say it all works a treat. cheers, -Tom
  10. Cheaper and easier than Adaptiverb. Perhaps not as clean and pristine, though.
  11. Speaking of things that smell like humanity, and have a decidedly poor taste,
  12. I dig the alternate panning of the hi hats. Nice concept and now it should go wherever you lead it, or vice versa! cheers, -Tom
  13. Could this also be a soundtrack to Bjorn's Dracula movie??? I like your piece, it has a mellow yet dramatic vibe. I agree, for me I'd have some longer reverb tails and a bigger space on particularly the higher pitched elements. The lower register is nice as it is I'd say as far as a sense of space goes. Good one!!! cheers, -Tom
  14. Great concept!!! I liked what you added, very clean, modern, and creepy! What happened when Dracula made a mistake in his DAW? He undead it. . . . I'll get me garlic.

  17. Well I don't get to hear much music with this very independent sense of melody and lyrical cadence. It's unique and we need so much more of this originality. Well done in the writing department! By your comments I read you aren't really done with the mix and I think that's a fair observation. If it were mine I'd get more delay or perhaps reverb on the vocal. Apart, obviously, from your already effected sections. She really has a great vocal tone! I did wonder if melodyne might have some use in a couple of spots, but because your melody is unconventional, I could just be all wet there. (like Richard) thanks, that was a very original work and a satisfying listen. cheers, -Tom

Great pedal steel? lap steel? and your background vocal harmonies were spot on and well blended with the excellent original. cheers, -Tom
  19. Great, love the mix and the vocal, and I identify with the song. The vocal volume for me dips in spots, as the singer drops into lower pitches especially at the end of a phrase, whil the mandolin remains loud at that point. I think you could volume automate the vocal up a bit at those critical spots. very very cool project, and where did those cigars get to, anyway? cheers, -Tom
  20. That intro cat is prolly gonna need a lawyer 🤔
  21. I notice that tailorante medieval era II is actually on sale. $155
