  1. I'll just echo all the above, ๐Ÿ‘'s! t It did bring to mind palm trees, a beautiful sunset, sexy bikinis, and an ice gold bottle of Patron. all the things I left behind when I immigrated to the PacNW...
  2. That's why I much prefer to buy used, that first ding on the headstock breaks my heart, if its already dinged; no worries....
  3. Took me about half way through to stop trying to fix the 1, and let the tune dictate where it falls. I was auditioning some 5/4 stuff and didn't "struggle" as much with the 1 in that. So 7 is tougher? I don't recall ever playing any 7/8 stuff... t
  4. Obviously the furry ears are much more sensitive than my (very battered and frequency limited) non-fuzzy ones. I am the first to admit I do not possess the "golden ears" I wish I had... t
  5. The 336 is a small body? I thought it was a figured maple top 335, my โ€œNashvilleโ€ Gibson expertise is a bit โ€œthinโ€ I must admit. Pretty sure my 339 was โ€œsolidโ€ under the pups, or as you said โ€œblockedโ€. Yes, itโ€™s not a LP, but neither is a 335. BTW, even though the 339 was the best of the Custom Shops Iโ€™ve owned, I turned her when I was offered more than I had in her. Wasnโ€™t one I couldnโ€™t live without. Only one Kalamazoo left in the herd, not for sale at any price... t
  6. A friend has one, I think Heritage labels them the H-355. As good a 335 as I've ever played. The 339 is just a better size and weight. Like I said above, if the original 335 had been the size of the 339, the LP would have withered and died (which it actually did if you all remember). t
  7. Well done there! No Nectar this time? Just me, but I think this is a big improvement; but as always so much is material dependent... Another solid cover John! t
  8. Good advice that. Otherwise solid presentation. t

I'll second Wookiee's evaluation. Genre's are tough for me, but dance and edm for this one? but as I am an admitted aging rocker, wtf do I know... tom
  10. I'll just second that, but add you're being a bit hard on yourself... t

I'd add a little silence before the intro (sometimes I wonder if the hosts are truncating the files, I know iTunes seems to do this on my wife's iphone, but generally its at the end). Finally got there, boy that's a "button tite" ending, pretty sure not what you wanted! Bring up the sax a bit; just me... The "ping pong", on the electric piano chords is a bit strong VKFX? (reminds me of my first listen to the Stand Up album; I was watching the guitars pan back and forth; it was the late 60's, what can I say...) No cigar for me, and make mine Vodka (a double; Goose works) Gran Marnier on the side please... t what time do we go on? Maybe the opening act would like to play another 30 minutes? No honey, I don't need another; but i will keep the ice, leave the glass... thank you
  12. Much improved I think! t still EZB on this, or did you revert to the Scarbee?
  13. You had to make me look, and now its something I can never unsee... Not the knockers, not even the "buns", its the g-string; argggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg
  14. Buy an ES-339, its a scaled down 335. If the original 335's had been this size, LP sales would have withered and died (this from a Les Paul guy, I've owned many of them 50's gold top's and customs right on thru to the "We finally got it right" Brazilian board 2003's). Have several PRS's including an HB-II; not a bad choice either... tom

I'm still trying to put my finger on who Allan reminds me of, that's as good as any... ๐Ÿ‘ t I'm confused too Sabby....
  16. I'm not hearing the distortion, but clearly there are some overs in the Youlean analysis. Like the tune, so ๐Ÿ‘'s on that! Just a word about mp3 conversion, I find I have to keep the Master at -1dB or I get overs on the conversion (or direct export). I always bring the exported mp3 back in the project and confirm I don't have any overs. YMMV t I can confirm that Izotope Insight agrees with the Youlean analysis. As far as crits, I covered that when you put the tune up originally; solid tune. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Would I mix it differently, yup; would it be "better", nope...
  17. No need to apologize! ๐Ÿ‘'s t the snare's a bit bright for my taste, its an electronic kit?
  18. I'm throwing a like on this for sure! What are you using for the bass? t

๐Ÿ‘'s up from me Mark! I agree, but that's the crit from me... t
  20. Or bring it up on the piano and kit? Beautiful tune Gary ๐Ÿ‘ I'll hold the "like" for the final mix... t
  21. My only crit Jesse is the guitar is way back in the room, if I was mixing I'd bring it more up front. I'd probably put the drums and bass in the same space as the guitar a bit. Otherwise ๐Ÿ‘'s t
