    Happy Place

Your song hit the happy button in my brain, just what I needed. The lyrics maybe weren't intended that way but the overall sound just came together to set that mood. Very well done.

    Lucky Me

Doug, One of your best. What really made the song imo is that very catchy groove in the background and the "hip hip hooray" that says a lot in just 3 words. 2 thumbs up!
  3. Ten seconds in and I'm thinking soundtrack to Lord of the Rings or something similarly epic. A stirring theme as all get out. What I like is the melodic elements that make it more than new age ambient and much more listenable. I was a little surprised to see Realivox Blue in there, a VST that I own but have never used (yet). Great job on this!
  4. Freddy You could try pixabay.com You can download videos for free but they ask for a credit (which is optional. ) Sorry, I missed this when you asked a couple of weeks ago.
  5. You can likely change the aspect ratio somewhere in the menu. You'd want 16:9 which should give you a HD video (1920x1080) which works well on YT. I would use a portable digital audio recorder instead of the phone's audio. Just don't make a vertical video! 😁
  6. Love it! Seemed like some really tricky passages in there (32nd notes?) You made it look easy. 😀

    The Blues

Mark, that was..beautiful. I don't have any suggestions for you except maybe post some more like this one.
  8. I really enjoyed this esp ~3:20 with the sax and that really cool drum beat. A+
  9. Thanks all for taking the time to listen and comment. And thanks for verifying the melody sounds original.

    TIME

Freddy I know exactly what you mean. I haul our trash can out for its weekly pickup and it always seems that I just did that chore yesterday. Really nice bluesy guitar work. Love that sound.
  11. Anders, I used to listen to that song over and over back when it was on vinyl. You did a great job on the cover, even sounding a bit like Dylan. Your cabin in the woods looks like a great place to make music but maybe a little too cold to be playing guitar outside? ☺️
  12. Really good song. I like lyrics that are up to the listener to interpret, which I did. The voc needs to be brought up a lot more IMO.

    Weary

Doug, the song came across as bluesy to me (and with that title it should be 😀) This one goes to the top 5 of your songs posted here. Well done. Would be cool to hear you play some fingerpicking traditional blues if you're into that.
  14. Early Evening This started out as an attempt at classical genre but I just couldn't get it to work. So it's a mixture of synths that sound like something from an orchestra and a clarinet from the Spitfire BBC orchestra. I like the main melody but it sounds kind of familiar to me. Just wondering if anyone recognizes it from anywhere? Maybe I'm plagiarizing an old song of mine that I don't remember? Thanks for listening/commenting.
  15. Wookie, I don't have furry paws and I can't play as well as that. Just love that slow blues style of chill. Excellent!

    SONG: Easing Up

Yeah very laid back track with variations on a theme. The change up ~2:00 didn't quite work for me but just my opinion. Overall quite nice. Enjoyed it.
  17. Paul Excellent production and performance. Radio ready and I mean that. Is that a little glitch ~3:18 or is that my declining hearing playing tricks on me?
  18. Nice driving beat on this one but seems more upbeat than the title of the song would suggest. You have a good handle on using synths. I'm going to guess Z3TA+ is in there. The part that sounded like a meowing cat came across to me as a bit too cute. I have a bunch of old Cakewalk midi files too. Wish I had saved the tracks as audio files as well as midi but I didn't.
  19. Very well done. Could easily fit in a professional video production.
  20. Ooooh, there's music on the video too. ☺️ All the background sounds that accompanies the vocalist really sets a pleasant laid back mood. Didn't notice any obvious quality problems with the video.

    Road Trip

Barry, I'm going to second Rob's comment above. The guitar solo parts seemed to me like they were coming from a different room, a bit muffled sounding. Wasn't sure though if that was what you were trying to do, like giving the song more of a live feel. Anyway, great lyrics and performance as always. I always enjoy listening to your songs.
  22. Wookie I was expecting something disjointed by your description but it's not. I'm really liking what you came up with. The bass line is way toe tapping, head bobbing infectious. EZBass came up with that? I like the banshee bits for the Nightmare too. Very well done.

    Desert Chant

Doug, I never thought of the song used for meditation. I'll just add that to the list of genres. Thanks. Daryl, thanks for listening, comment and encouragement. tom, yep, I've been thru all those places several times. As soon as this pandemic recedes I'm heading out there again. Rob, thanks for the comments (David Lynch is one of my favs) and the suggestions for getting thru a slump. Much appreciated. H.S. and Wookster, thanks for listening and commenting Gary, Morrocco? That would be a trip of a lifetime. Freddy, thanks so much for the comments. Interesting about drumming. I was in Uganda last year and saw a couple of dance performances. Singing and always a lot of drums. Very talented and amazingly athletic.

    What Storm

Nice one. Intricate orchestration of instruments. The drums sound really good.
