  1. I always like the social commentaries in your lyrics and your voice is just right expressing them. There are a couple of timing issues and some of the lyrics weren't distinct enough to come across well, at least to my ears. But very promising overall. -Bjorn
  2. The instruments sound good and the mix is good. Bit repetitive but I get that you're trying out vsts in a different genre than your usual. Always good to explore. -Bjorn

    Night Flight

Very nice! I like the mix esp the bass that doesn't get buried under the other instruments. Great job. -Bjorn

    Saturday Night

Nigel, thanks. I uploaded a new version with more bass. KSband Yeah, I had a feeling the song was maybe too repetitive. Appreciate the comment.
  5. Asato Might be better if you post the song somewhere where the listener doesn't have to have an account or post it on Bandlab where I think everyone here has an account. -Bjorn

    Saturday Night

Saturday night An original (I hope) melody I came up with. Kind of a 50s/60s feel to it. I really like Bolder Sounds fiddle which I thought complemented the guitar well. Thanks for listening/commenting. I used midjourney to create the image on Sound Cloud. Hmm seems like the bass isn't loud enough, now that I've already posted it. Edit: I remixed the song with more bass. Ilya Efimov acoustic and electic gtr NI Picked acoustic RealGuitar Bolder sounds fiddle Trillian Addictive Drums

    Dirty Lies

Very nice overall. I always listen for accompaniment bits so I really liked the little piano and organ riffs in there. Did you post in the old Cakewalk forum? Seems like I recall a FreeEarCandy from somewhere. -Bjorn
  8. Thanks everyone for the comments. This was one of those songs that I listened to again after a few days and then think well maybe not so bad. Michael, thanks for the cdbaby info. Didn't know about that. And yeah that's me on Spotify. The movie audio snippets are public domain, at least to my knowledge. -Bjorn
  9. Wow. Just wow. The lyrics express my sentiments exactly. I assume Tristan is your son? Did he write the lyrics? Since I do some video, I'm totally blown away with what you've done. Must have taken you many hours to put that together. Excellent! 42 is always the answer. -Bjorn
  10. Look Into My Eyes Happy New Year Cakewalk friends! I haven't been able to break thru writer's block the last month or so. I keep trying though. Here's another synth project with a lot of pitch bendy arps and general off the wall sounds. I decided to insert snippets of dialog from cheesy old movies into the project which may or may not have been a good idea. Anyway, here it is. Thanks for listening/comments. -Bjorn Zebra HZ Trilian Omnisphere Diva Kontakt
  11. Nothing to show but this brand new tattoo But it's a real beauty A Mexican cutie How it got here I haven't a clue -Jimmie Buffet Not a one liner I guess but it makes me smile every time I hear it.

    Angel chimes

I was going to let this one just drop out of sight because I didn't like it that much, but I do like the video. Nigel, Hidden S and Dream Art, Thanks for the comments.

    SUMMERS GONE

Steve Great song in your signature style. I really like this one. -Bjorn

    Dream

Very relaxing and new age-y. Really like the pitch bends at the beginning and at the end. I can relate to the amount of time put into a song. I usually have 3 or 4 song projects going at the same time. If I get tired or lose inspiration of one, then I go to another. -Bjorn
  15. I like the chord changes which are a bit unexpected. I noticed a couple of stray piano notes 1:17 and 1:57 Very nice tune. -Bjorn

    When All Is Done

That's a really nice backing track. I think you'll come up with a decent tune by following the chord changes. -Bjorn
  17. I think I know that guy. The minor chords fit the lyrics very well. Great accompaniment and guitar work. The only suggestion I can come up with is the song needs a chorus that really stands out. Good job on this one Lynn. -Bjorn

    Angel chimes

Angel chimes The title comes from one of the vst patches I used. This started off as an antiwar statement then evolved to outer space stuff, then evolved to whatever category this is. There isn't a common thread throughout but interesting anyway IMO. I've learned some video tricks in DaVinci Resolve but haven't explored much beyond the basics. Thanks for watching/commenting. -Bjorn
  19. Nigel, all around great production! Best video I've seen from you. Part one is the scorned woman revenge story and I think part two should be the "you don't know what you've got until it's gone" story. Been there, done that. -Bjorn
  20. Freddy, I think this one is now my favorite song of yours. I really like the solo ~1:50 especially. -Bjorn
  21. Great job on the remix! Enjoyed it. I have a bunch of old Cakewalk projects that I've tried to resurrect but I'd long ago sold the HW synths I had then. Still kicking myself for that. -Bjorn
  22. Lovely piece and really nice hypnotic groove in the background. -Bjorn
  23. Inventive score and well produced. NIce. -Bjorn
  24. Tim, Very good orchestration of synths in this energetic song. Great job. -Bjorn
