  1. What I would do is select all the notes in the given track(s) that contains all the notes you wish to change. Then use Edit | Select | by filter to narrow the selection to the notes that have the velocity range that you wish to edit. Then use Process Nudge settings to define the milliseconds to nudge the notes by and then perform the nudge. If you are willing to convert the milliseconds to ticks, you can use Process | Slide and slide by the calculated ticks. If you use the Process | Slide command (and you convert the milliseconds to ticks), you could also write a CAL script for to this automatically.
  2. This is definitely sounding like a borked E Drive. Here is a safe link for CrystalDiskInfo https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/crystaldiskinfo.html

    Piano Roll view

Just tested it on my Cakewalk. It works here on Cakewalk 2019.9 Build 70 Maybe you've keybound it to another function
  4. Preferences | Audio | Playback and Recording. The driver mode can be selected from there.
  5. Have you disabled power management options in device manager, USB Root hubs?
  6. You might want to try another browser.... Link works fine here with Firefox Nightly 71.0a1
  7. A workaround might be to select just that clip - then look at the "Select Thru" time in the Select module in the control bar.
  8. I can't say I have ever had this issue. Do you have antivirus software at all (or any other real-time monitoring software ? If you do, maybe try whitelisting the Cakewalk program and data folders....
  9. As above. We're familiar with the transform tool for controller lane events? Let have one for automation nodes.
  10. They need to make the PRV controller transform tool available for automation nodes.
  11. What I do is run a batch file after my daily backup that includes various commands to back up various CbB components. For example, to back up the control bar settings in Cakewalk by Bandlab, the command is as follows: regedit /e "D:\Data files\Reg Keys\CbB_core_Control_Bar.reg" "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\Cakewalk\Core\MCBControlBar" Obviously, where the above says "D:\Data files\Reg Keys\CbB_core_Control_Bar.reg", yours will be where you wish to save and your chosen file name for the reg file. The beauty of simple reg files is that in order to restore the settings, you simply double click on the required reg file and it's done.
  12. Unless you are on a 32bit OS only, you really need to upgrade from X3 to Cakewalk by Bandlab, The later is light years ahead - especially in the area of MIDI editing. Also, if you are on a 32bit OS you really should consider upgrading to a 64bt OS.
  13. I believe the crash dumps will be found in the following folder %APPDATA%\cakewalk\Cakewalk Core\MiniDumps
  14. Working fine here I loaded a patch (A Wide Open Gum) into 4.08 that I know crashes 4.07 with the playback disabled. It played fine. (This is the issue I formally reported to IKM Support) I am doing a project with 4.08. So far, it's looking good - no crashes so far.
  15. Pretty much, yes The one for String-Studio VS-3 is in C:\Program Files\Applied Acoustics Systems\String Studio VS-3\Bitmaps All the others are in the following folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Applied Acoustics Systems\{product name}\Bitmaps
  16. There is a folder C:\Program Files\Applied Acoustics Systems\Ultra Analog VA-3\Bitmaps that contains PNG files of the various elements of the Ultra Analog VA-3 GUI. You can edit them with a standard image editor that can edit PNG files with alpha. One thing to make sure when saving the images is that you save with the alpha channel (transparency channel). If you don't do this, you will get white rectangular place holders behind the image elements and it will look horrible. Those who have edited a Cakewalk by Bandlab theme with the theme editor will know what I mean here as you have to do the same with that as well. Of course, it goes with out saying that if you attempt this, do make a back up of the original bitmap folder. Also, if you make your own colour scheme, back that up as well. This is because, if Applied Acoustics Systems ever release an update for Ultra Analog VA-3, this bitmap folder will be over written and will revert to the original. Simply copy the contents of the backup folder to get your colour scheme back (With Ultra Analog VA-3 not running of course)
  17. I could not resist changing the GUI already
  18. Sadly, it's not possible to manipulate tempo change events via CAL You can't even use the EditFitToTime40 or EditFitToTime commands to change the tempo via CAL This is because with both of these commands, In SONAR this function has a bug. It returns the message ‘invalid value’.
  19. You might want to add your system specs and setup in the signature. I cannot say that I have ever experienced what you have stated. If these things were common, then this forum would be full of people experiencing them The issues you've listed sounds like things that are outside the control of CbB. For the bakers to "fix" it, they have to be able to reproduce what you're experiencing. Here are a few things to try - although I suspect you may have already tried a few of these. Go to the manufacturer's websites of your Audio interface and download the latest drivers. Uninstall and reinstall. Windows updates may have borked the drivers. Try disabling effects to see if another plugin is the culprit. Try different MIDI Prepare buffer settings I am assuming you've done the normal tweaks for a DAW PC - you know, disable all power saving, turn off core parking, etc I wouldn't hurt to lodge a support ticket with Cakewalk - maybe you have a unique system configuration that causes your issues. https://help.cakewalk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000025633
  20. What version (Numerically and build number) of Cakewalk are you using?
  21. I've never had this happen with Sforzando. Specifically what version of Sforzando are you using? If you're using version 1.9.5.8, are you using the VST2 or VST3 version?
  22. CbB is definitely a 64bit program ( I just confirmed it with CFF Explorer). Therefore, what ever it is on your system that is making the determination that CbB a 32 bit program is telling porkies..... Also, the executable for CbB is in the C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core folder (at least it is on my system)
  23. The September early release has just this function added. Quoting from the release notes ----------------------------------------------------- Automatically stop/pause playback with MCI MIDI events You can instruct Cakewalk to stop or pause playback at a defined moment, so you can start playback again manually. This can be very useful in a live setting. This is done by inserting an MCI Command event in a MIDI track’s Event List view (ALT+8), and assigning the MCI Commands value to either stop or pause: stop - stops the transport and returns to zero pause - pauses the transport allowing you to manually continue playback from where you left off Press Play (SPACEBAR) manually to resume playback. ----------------------------------------------------- https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?%2Ftopic%2F6991-cakewalk-201909-early-access%2F
  24. Like many things, it depends. Are there any tasks that run over night - like backups Are you sure no plugins or software suffer memory leaks (That's where closed processes don't give back ram to the memory pool) If you have an EUFI BIOS and and GPT disk, then the time from power up to desktop logon can be as little as 10 seconds. However, personally, I just log off and down the display monitor. The PC itself stays on 24/7 - I have nightly backups that run at 4:00 am - and various other tasks that run overnight. It's possible the daily physically shutting down and restarting can put extra thermal strain on PC components. Just my 2c
