    The Fifth Circle

Thank you Jeff. I can understand the Who connection, the tune involves 4 instruments playing ARP patterns, one 24 steps, one 16 steps, one 8 steps. The 4th ARP is a little different from the other 3, playing a I, IV, V, over 8 steps, finishing V, VI. The 24 step pattern starts it all, after 48 bars the 16 step pattern overlaps in a 24 bar repeat. Then the 8 step pattern starts after another 24 bars repeating until the end. Each pattern steps are based on a major scale progression. The 4th pattern only shows itself a random points. The bass and drums are there just for some fun, growing in content as it progresses to add some interest. Appreciate your ears and comments.

Yep it is 6:00:00 long sometimes that's how long they need to be. Constructive criticism welcome as always, any other criticism keep to yourself it is only you that is upset.
  4. Interesting, mix sound OK here.
  5. The one thing that stands out is the the lack of weight in the drums, especially the kick. is it because the vocals are to forward with the rest of the mix. The backing sounds balanced but the vox is a bit forward. Perhaps just these furry ears mix not quite to your normal standard sir sorry.

    Dreams

I think I get it but as noted it needs some additional ear candy to keep ones attention, I got distracted sorry. The mix sounds good here but....
  7. It works here, I can hear what there, in their place, good tune.
  8. Sound's fine here, mix sounds balanced, well sung emotion communicated.
  9. It will no doubt be a prequel sequel prequel prequal sequel sequel of a yet to be shown original. No surprise in not knowing where it's going, I have no idea when I start and just as amazed when i get there..
  10. Thank you Ed, nice to hear the kit came across well.
  11. I don't live in the middle of nowhere and I get the same speeds Mark. They keep pushing full fibre eg FTTP, but there is currently only 26% coverage in the UK. Pathetic. Even with the satellite link when in Geostationary orbit I still only get 80/20. 😎
  12. So @freddy j you have ventured to the dark side. It sounds reasonable here. Have you heard of MIDI Guitar 2 by Jam Origin. It lets you play VST with your guitar. It converts what you play in to MIDI, no need for fancy Hex Pickups. I suggest you have a look it is not that expensive and apparently MIDI Guitar 3 is due for release soon. PS their interpretation of soon is a little strange, that soon has now been two years

    HURRICANE

@noynekker Mix sound pretty good here on the Adam's I can hear everything quite clearly and it sounds well balanced to these furry lugs.
  14. Thank you Freddy, I suppose having played with electronics since I was a wee Wookieelet. M & D purchased me a breadboard electronics kit that let you build different circuits, including a simple organ. Then before joining the rebel alliance I was apprenticed in an electronics company, consequently I ended being fascinated by what could be done. Your continued encouragement is most appreciated.
  15. Thank you, limited synths though.
  16. Pleasant tune, nice to hear some banjo here.
  17. As noted reminiscent of early electronica, I think there might be some Jarre influences in here too. He seem to have taken a slight more dance orientated approach to some of his stuff recently.
  18. @Harley Dear this might help to free up some more space. The Picture cache directory can also cause disk full failure. As recommended you would benefit from a separate disk drive for projects.
  19. Interesting idea that even as a ghost the mantel of ultimate death still haunts one. Very gothic building.
  20. Very cool lyrics Tom, exceptional overall groove, I get the feeling there is a play on another song here. Love it all 6:50, not many I say that to but this is good stuff, good recording, some nice playing mix works well here on the Adam's, nice bass almost but not quite squelchy, with an edge of fretlessness, what is the trumpet or horns?
  21. Mournful, thoughtful, sounds good here.

    Song For Ruth

Well done chaps, great tribute to your friend's partner Ed. A musical production much as I would expect from your lot. It is painful when you lose your very best friend.
  23. Nice playing as ever Rik, this mix does come over a little hot here.

Nice tune, I am with Mark, the kick and bass need a little more presence. Good work though.
