  1. This is a wonderful and uplifting song. Kudos to all on a job well done. My headset is a bargain basement variety and all sounds good. However, on my set the lead vox was a bit low especially near the beginning.

    Hate Me

Another well done up-tempo pop song. Love the guitar work (lead and rhythm notes) in this song. Also, I like the rhythmic feel to this song. Well done!!!
  3. A trumpet ??? You know what -- it works!!!! Luv that guitar in the beginning. The guitar reminds me of the sound by one of the punk bands in the mid to late "70's. I just can remember which one (oh well, another senior moment). This is just plain old COOL stuff!!! Another treat for my ears Jesse!!!

    Crave

Hi again Douglas. I have never used those pick-ups. My Strat (early 1970's) predates the Lace pickups and fell in to disuse due to the long hours required at work. I did have a friend that had a Strat with those pickups (single coil I believe) and loved it.
  5. Beautiful work Gary. You gave Bing a run for the money. I love those great baritone sounds!

    ON MY WAY

I certainly join the cast of kudos above. You did an absoflippinlutely excellent job in your vocal - phrasing, emotion, etc. were great! The BGVs were the perfect complement to the vocals and the instrumentation carried along the previous two perfectly. Well done indeed!
  7. Hi Wookie. Hey if Santa isn't paying attention --- then, I'm going to give HIM a chunk of coal! Thanks much for the listen and for your kind comments. Hey Lynn. First of all thanks for giving both a listen/look. Thanks also for your very kind comments and encouragement!! I very much appreciate it. I hope that it was a gentle method of encouraging people to "mask-up". I had to go back and listen to your song "Exposed" again. That was some excellent work. Well done! Stay safe and well yourself pal! Hi tom. Thank you very much. I always appreciate your input. BTW, I was looking for your page on YouTube but couldn't find it (I guess that I am geriatricly (is that a word?) challenged). Can you help me by telling me where to look? Thanks! JESSEEE!!!!! How are you pal? Mine was just a brief absence but I got back in time to hear your new song. It was some doggone good experimental sounds and sentiments. Thanks for giving the song a listen and for the kind comments. Happy holidays and stay safe!! MASK-UP Y'ALL.

    Crave

Now this is a nice pleasant, easy-on-the-ears song. I love the vocal harmonies in the chorus. Great job on this song! BTW, you make that Strat sound good!!
  9. After a very brief absence from the forum, it was a pleasure to be back to hear my fav experimental artist. This was at treat to listen to Jesse.
  10. Even though I whined, about my lack of understanding of these synth things in my response to Beyond Part 1, I really appreciate the sounds and feel that you create in your compositions. I loved the relaxing dreamlike quality of this number. Well done my furry friend!!!
  11. Wow, an absoflippinlutely pro job!!! The lyrics were profound, the performances, by all, were excellent, the arrangement very well done, and the mix sounded perfect to me! Very well done lads!
  12. I hope that everyone had a good Thanksgiving -- all be it a very different kind of holiday from the norm. I guess now that Thanksgiving is over - it now can be considered close enough to the Christmas season to post a Santa Claus song. To counter the pandemic blues this is just a lighthearted, tongue-in-cheek song giving Santa some rules about his yearly visit (at least in my house). Last year (I think) I posted a song "Great White Shark". I accidentally bumped into it a few days ago which gave rise to me trying to do a video using this song. So, I am including it with this post. I would appreciate any comments, crit.'s, suggestions, etc. on either or both of these attempts. Thanks! Exposed

I almost missed listening to this song. That would have been a shame because I have been "Exposed " to some doggone good music! Not a thing to not to love about this song. Every is top notch - lyrics, instrumentals (love those guitar leads and fills), cool FX, the mix is great, and wow, those vocals -- cool!!! Oh ya, great ending also. Great work my friend!
  14. I thought that I commented on this previously but I didn't see it ---- Oh well, another senior moment. Nope, I didn't hear a crackle either. As an ardent NPR listener, I think that you nailed the kind of bumper music that they play. Great sounds and excellent mix.
  15. I used to have a cat that took over our household -- I can relate. I echo the comments comments above. This is an excellent song, great mix, great instrumental performance, and professional sounding vocals. Well done!

    Beyond Part 1

This was an absolute delight to my naked little ears. It is indeed "Beyond" me how you get such wonderful sound out of synths and put them together in such an coherent and enjoyable way. Heck, I can't even get simple MIDI instruments to cooperate with me. I partiularly liked the way you used reverb/echo on notes )part of a sequence)that I thought would be sustained --- cool! Excellent stuf Wookie!
  17. I really enjoyed this song. I tried hard but couldn't come up with any crit.'s or suggestions. I must agree with you on the mix. I love that "live feel" in recordings. Over production and over-selling of vocals has made me miss going to small venue live performances even more during this pandemic. Excellent work gentlemen!
  18. Indeed an impressive pop song. Excellent vocals, instrumentation and mix. Well done!
  19. Hi Douglas. I hope that it brought a bit of a smile to your face. Thanks very much for listening and your comments. Hey Kevin. My wife tells me that I can sometimes have a bit of an attitude but I think she means it differently (lol). Thanks for the bonus points but I must admit I cheated. 🤥 Sometimes rhymer.com can be a real friend when you are trying to write lyrics. Thanks for taking time to comment - I much appreciate it. Hello Hidden Symmetry. Thank you very much. BTW, I really enjoyed the song on your recent post -- excellent work! Hi Allan. BTW, does that professorship come as tenured and is it an assistant, associate, or full professor rank? Thank you very much for listening and for the encouragement!!! Hello tom! Does the "Procrastinators Unanimous" organization have a Tampa Bay area chapter (just asking)? Thanks for listening and the kind words pal! Hi Bjorn. Thanks very much for the kind comments. I admit that I used a bit of help from Rhymer. There were very few words that would rhyme with procrastination that were one syllable. However, there were lots more that were two or three and a few of those were relevant to the song. On the guitar -- I was going (again) for that gritty, gravelly, distorted early electric guitar sound. I hope it worked. Thanks again. Thanks Nigel! I was hoping that it might bring a bit of a smile to those that listened.
  20. Good song all the way around. Crystal clear mix, good lyrics, vocals, and some nice sounding guitars and playing. Nice one.

    Hunter

I loved the flow of this song and I love instrumentals. Great guitar work. It reminds me a bit of the band Wolfpack ( a Six Nations band from Canada). I think that I'm going to give it a second listen - right now.
  22. Brilliant!!! The mix is outstanding but the introduction of each instrument really worked. How in the world did you get that muted trumpet sound? The guitar solo --- "amazing" indeed. I agree with the comments above, a list of details would be appreciated. The ending --- cooool, --- I'll end the kudos here.

    Confusion

This is a really pleasant rock-pop song with commercial potental. Your vocals really stand out and the BGV's are well done as well. Great job by both of you!!
  24. Very creative piece Bjorn. Loved every minute of it. The music and your narrative were perfect. The countdown was an perfect addition.
  25. Here is a simple, uncomplicated, lighthearted, little number that suggests a possible plan for extending the time that we get to spend on this Earth. However, having said that, I am pretty sure that it won't work. Just wishing that something will work, seldom (read never) works. However, it might provide a good excuse for the "engagement of procrastination? I hope it might give you a bit of a giggle. As always comments, suggestions, crit.'s, donations (yes, I jest), etc. are welcome and appreciated! Thanks.
