Is Cakewalk abandonware?

Recommended Posts

There's several great plugins I own from Cakewalk that I can't run without Cakewalk, so, you can't completely abandon Cakewalk if you've got so much invested into it like I have!

All I know is that the guys I've been sitting in with are using Ableton and it confuses me to see all of the labels for things on the opposite side than what Cakewalk uses! 😮

Technically, Waveform also fits that criteria, as 99% of the channel strip is on the right side.

Did somebody mention CJ in this tread?

I was thinking about him and My Ol' Pal...are they still around here?

My Ol' Pal's been on here a few times in the last month or so, but I haven't seen anything from CJ since the old forum!

Maybe he just took things to their logical conclusion and created a forum where all the members are him? 🤔😁

Copyright claim incoming from Bapu...

FWIW CJ was upstairs occasionally for the first couple of years. I'm guessing that the influx of noobs wondering why this free so-called pro level software doesn't sound very good on their $200 laptop became too much for him.
