Hi Alonso and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. The lack of sound can be a number of things from simply activation Input Echo, to your output routing or the soft synth you're working with. A little more information on your setup will help in finding a solution. Kind regards, tecknot

Is there a way to dock the console view and piano roll to the left or right panels?
tecknot replied to Mehrdad Shamsi's question in Q&A
I see you started a new thread for your question. That is the better route rather than hijacking another one. Kind regards, tecknot- 4 replies

Hi MJ and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. The answer is yes! I am going to guess that you are using a Realtek sound card (in your laptop). In the meantime, you might want to change your buffer size to something larger than currently set. Kind regards, tecknot

Hi sciroccorics and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. Make sure your routing is correct. The audio track output should be pointing to the Master Bus and your Master Bus should be pointing to your audio card's output (speakers). Kind regards, tecknot

Hi Chez, You will find the Registry Editor under Windows Administrative Tools. Click on it and you will see a window as seen below. Just navigate the file tree to the entry scook noted above: You should see your interface(s) listed here where I have my Saffire. Kind regards, tecknot

Hi David and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. I have used Melodyne as a Region FX with multiple views open in the Multidock. Does this happen only with synths docked or anything docked? As for rearranging the tabs in the Multidock, unfortunately, they cannot be moved around. Kind regards, tecknot

Problem with Ctrl-Click into piano roll
tecknot replied to sergedaigno's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Hi Serge, Ctrl-Click select is working here when selecting multiple notes. Are you lassoing the notes or just ctrl-clicking on them? Kind regards, tecknot -
High Definition Audio Device disconnected from system
tecknot replied to tdehan's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Try disabling the internal sound card prior to starting Cakewalk and see if that resolves your problem. Kind regards, tecknot -
Request: Option to change sample rate on demand with new projects
tecknot replied to Moving Air Productions's question in Q&A
I agree with John. If scook's suggestion of using the menus for a new project doesn't work for you, then perhaps the pre-saved templates or projects Kurre suggested will work for you. Seems like a good idea to me. Kind regards, tecknot -

tecknot replied to HappyRon Hill's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Hi HappyRon, I would try reinstalling the driver for your Realtek card. Kind regards, tecknot -
High Definition Audio Device disconnected from system
tecknot replied to tdehan's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Hi tdehan, Do you have an internal sound card active on your system such as a Realtek card? Kind regards tecknot -
Hi Kurt, I would suggest that you completely uninstall Cakewalk (including deleting Registry entries) and then do a reinstall. Kind regards, tecknot

Hi gaymushroomgirl and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. Unfortunately, the Realtek sound cards do not play well with Cakewalk. Being that CbB (Cakewalk by Bandlab) is professional recording/mixing software, it works best with an audio interface with a well written audio driver. With that being said, what audio driver mode do you have CbB set at? There are a few other questions to answer such as, what it your buffer setting, how much memory does your PC have? etc. Having your PC specs and help us narrowed down the problem. Kind regards, tecknot

Hi John, Perhaps a Screenset will come in handy in your instance. I have a Screenset with the PRV showing the velocity layers only in the Controller Pane. I don't think you can show velocity with the inline PRV (TV) in a separate pane. That is, they will either show on top of the MIDI data or not at all. Kind regards, tecknot

Hi Clifford, Unfortunately, not all the plug-ins that were a part of SONAR were not included the Gibson/Bandlab deal. The only way to get those plug-ins is to pull them out of an old version of SONAR. The SONAR version of plug-ins are not for sale. Kind regards, tecknot
