Now that is what I would call some "mighty fine" soulful funk. Excellent and creative work, pal!! Lyrics are cool and your vocals really deliver them in a manner that expresses what they mean. Those BGV's --- absoflippinlutely excellent. As is the bass, guitars, mix, etc., etc.! It has your signature all over it and it is excellent!

Not Secret Agent Man but it carries along that style perfectly! It was a treat to hear it and great work Makke.

Hey Larry T. Yes I do remember Dr. Demento and I used to enjoy listening to him! Thanks for the link! I will certainly give a listen to your suggestions. Thanks also for taking the time to listen to this song and for your comments. Hi Douglas. I appreciate your kind comments. I'm glad that you enjoyed it. I did indeed use just a bit of delay (my trusty Boss Digital Delay DD-5) on the vocals. I though they could use a wee bit of help. Thanks again. Hey Walt. First of all let me say that I was really impressed with the recent post by Tom and you. Excellent work! I am glad that you may have gotten a giggle out of this song. Thanks very much for listening and taking the time to comment! Hi Antler. Thank you. I appreciate the kind words and your taking the time to listen!

This is a very well done song and very pleasant to listen too. The introduction of little sounds (e.g., around 3:18) was very clever. Enjoyed the solar journey!

Wow -- indeed! Kudos to you both on an outstanding production. Excellent video compilation that made sense with the wonderful music. Excellent work! -
A good fun song Jack. As one who struggles with MIDI, syth's, etc. I can appreciate those who can utilize these instruments. Larry makes a good point above. BTW, as one who has been retired for a few years, I highly recommend retirement!

I echo all of the comments above. Excellent job on the video and music. Both complement each other very well. Definitely at treat to watch and listen to.

Great lyrics! You have done an excellent job in presenting the tenderness of the lyrics. Ya, your vocals and harmonies are really well done!

Hi Paul. I'm very glad that you liked it. Thanks very much for taking the time to listen and for the kind comments! BTW, luv the song on your last post.

Here is another just for fun, lighthearted song. I have borrowed from and combined a number of styles (blues, jump blues, swing combo's, etc.). Specifically this comes from songs such as "Open The Door Richard" -- by a number of jump blues and big bands, "There'll Be No Next Time" -- by Sam Butera and Lois Prima, "Don't Start Me To Talkin'" -- by Sonny Boy Williamson II, several of the Coasters' (formerly Robins) songs, etc.. It is a bit rough and raw but hey, it's just for fun. I hope it gives you a bit of a giggle and as always suggestions, comments, ideas, etc. will be appreciated. Thanks! This has a nice jazzy, bluesy feel to it. Luv that guitar panned left! Very nice work indeed!

It is great to hear another post by y'all. Love the in-your-face lyrics (renews the attitude when rock-'n-roll first started). It all works great ---- playing, vocals and some good mix/mastering. Impressive indeed!

Absoflippinlutely cool rocker Indeed! Great lyrics and I love that guitar panned left. The vocals sound good also. Nice one!

Hi Antler. Thanks for taking time to listen and comment. I very much appreciate the kind words! Hey Lynn. Concerning the vocal phrasing -- I was trying to convey a mild disconcerted feeling created by memories of the accident. Ya, perhaps it was a bit too laid back of a presentation. Thanks for listening and your encouragement. " I'll talk to you later..." -- I look forward to it.

Hi All - a little Halloween before Halloween - the Pugtones.
freddy j replied to MarkusClinus's topic in Songs
Hey Mark! It is great to see you back on the the Forum. I hope that all is well with you. I remember this song on the old Cakewalk Forum. I liked it then and still do now. It is a classic Pugtones (sp?) song! I hope to see more of you on the forum. -
I can't say that I ascribe to astrology. However, having said that, I too am a Pisces. I also must say that I thoroughly enjoyed this piece. The song itself was great - lyrics, vocals, arrangement, mix, etc. -- and the video was also terrific! I haven't done SCUBA in quite some time but the underwater shots made me want to run down to the FL Keys or over to the Bahamas and strap on a tank. Excellent work~

Wha --- The link did not take me any where and I couldn't find it on your SoundClick page?? Now this is a doggone shame!!!

Very nice indeed. Love the post-new wave feel to this song. The upbeat tempo and lyrics really make this song a winner. Oh ya, the instrumental fills and accents definitely add to the song. Well done!!

Hi Bjorn. Ya, the summers can be exciting down here especially during hurricane season. I guess during that time we are "Children Hiding From The Storm".☺️ Thanks very much for listening and your kind comments. Hi Nigel. Your kind words are much appreciated. Thanks very much! Hey Makke. I am very glad that you liked it. Thanks for listening and commenting. Hey David. I can remember that this particular storm was rather awesome, impressive, and even strangely beautiful looking. However, once I got into it and spinning around my impressions of the storm changed. The impressive part stayed but in a different way. Thank you for listening and taking the time to comment. Hi Wookiee. I appreciate your suggestions. When I get back to this song I'll be bumping up both bass and drum. Thanks again! Hi jwnicholson78. Thanks for listening and taking the time to comment. I appreciate it.

Really nice playing! You have combined boogie, Blues, and a bit of the W. C. Handy Blues-ragtime all into one song. Wow!
