  1. @Gavin Ray, one way to attract the attention of the development team is to invoke a name. For example, @Noel Borthwick is the team leader. Perhaps he will see this thread and contact you. Also, you might want to contact Noel or one of the other team members by email.
  2. @msmcleod stated I've searched the Cakewalk Reference Guide multiple times and I'm unable to find minimum operating specifications in the Guide. I did find some specifications on the download page: @Morten Saether, please add the program's minimum, and recommended, hardware and software specifications to the Guide.
  3. Interesting tidbits: Available through Amazon for $76.94. The headphone model number does not show up on the TASCAM website as active or discontinued product.
  4. @GreenLight, that's a very nice summary. I appreciate that you present some of the pros and cons for each method. Isn't @Will_Kaydo's video great? I think so.
  5. Thanks in advance. I look forward to seeing it (or them).
  6. Will, Showing the three ways Cakewalk supports setting up to sidechain might make an interesting and educational video. 👍
  7. Not as much as it appears I should be 😄 There is a lot to like with the Track Inspector but I think there are a few weak points to it too. As an example, when your video first starts the left side of the Inspector shows the focus track while the right side shows the Master. Then once you click on the MIDI tab it's all about the one track. Yep I know it's not your fault and you took time to point it out.
  8. Will, Good luck with your new YouTube channel! Very good video. You make it look so easy!
  9. Nice. The mix "feels" appropriate for the genre in general and the song specifically. Good job on the vocals too!
  10. Really nice vocal and background vocals. You really know vocals. The song lyrics are strong. The instrumentation feels like it lags throughout the song.
  11. Sounds like an Atlanta Rhythm Section instrumental that was "discovered" hidden away in a tape vault. Nice playing and mix.
  12. Overall, I like your list. I will say though I was surprised you didn't rate not having a sampler built-in as con # 1.
  13. I'd rather have Les Paul's 1951 Fender No-caster. The guitar has Leo Fender's signature on the rear body and was gifted to Les Paul. There is a really good photo of Les and the guitar near the bottom of the page here.
  14. Chuck Berry, Brian Setzer, Duane Eddy, Stephen Stills, Neil Young and Mike Nesmith either were, or are, some notable Gretsch artists.
  15. @fitzj, What a great idea! I never would have thought of turning on closed captioning. Sheer genius!
  16. I apologize to @Julio Bonnemaisonin advance for going off topic. @bdickens, What alternative 16 channel GM1/GM2 compatible MIDI soft synth is available for free? Surely you don't mean the Microsoft GS Wavetable embedded in Windows?
  17. Is there a way to disable or turn off the cursor Smart Tool? I prefer to manually chose the cursor functions.
  18. @Fadily Hamdan, How did you fix the issue? Your answer may help someone else that experiences a similar issue and finds this thread during a search.
  19. Durn it @Starship Krupa, I completely missed that button! I hope it was added in the 2101.04 tempo overhaul. Thank you developers for addressing this issue. I apologize for overlooking it for so long! @Esteban Villanova, does adding a tap tempo button to the Tempo Track meet your expectations?
  20. Yes but I believe the original post was suggesting a tap tempo button to be visible in the main transport section, perhaps as an addition to the Metronome module. Unfortunately, @Esteban Villanova never revisited this thread to elaborate. You didn't mention that Tempo View was replaced by the Tempo Track in version 2021.04 but that is a related tempo feature that was updated. That would have been a good time to revisit tap tempo.
  21. Hello @Eugene Blanchard, I don't know if you are aware but the Cakewalk developers are working on a web installer that bypasses the need to first install and use the Bandlab Assistant account manager. You can find out more about the web installer +++ HERE +++
  22. Thanks for sharing this. I had not thought of coloring clip backgrounds but it make a huge difference when working on clips, doesn't it?
  23. Your tutorial series is really presenting detailed information. I believe you cover EVERY step sequencer control in this video. I must admit though, your BEST tip was early in the video. I did not know that YouTube settings include a speed control. I found 3/4 speed really works well for me.
  24. What a great and educational discussion! @Guerilla Genus, thanks so much for posting your initial question and poll. @msmcleod and @Noel Borthwick, thanks for explaining the MIDI innards of CbB. Hopefully, @Morten Saether will see this thread and will be able to add some of this information to the Cakewalk Reference Manual. @bitflipper, @RBH and @tparker24 thanks for your input and keeping the path on course.
