  1. I thought producing music in a home studio is lonely. Playing chess against a machine instead of enjoying chats with your chess partner seems even more solitary.
  2. I was able to get Mercury and actually all their bundles from EveryPlugin at an incredibly low price. I’m sure Waves will not have that steep level of discount available. It was a nice run with EveryPlugin’s support!
  3. I have a couple of the above. Thanks for pointing this out!
  4. For the steam punk UI alone I want these!
  5. Now PA is flooding Plug-in Boutique as well!
  6. Interesting. I must not be the only one who inquired. I had a dialog with them about where’s the drag and drop. They must have heard that a lot.
  7. Percussion Factory now in my sights!
  8. I agree with EZDrummer 3. Specific to “game changer” I would add Maschine to this list. You can do stuff in Maschine mere mortal DAWs cannot, or not conveniently. By using Maschine in a DAW superpowers are at your command. This refers to the Maschine software. Of course with the hardware that’s even more powerful. The hardware is not needed for the general capability. As far as a quick win on a plug-in buy, PSP’s InfiniStrip is pretty great.
  9. I think if you use Band in a Box with its suggested styles it can easily get you very far and very fast in creating a song. I use it, but of the suggested tracks and audio that results when I put a part together I may only use one or two tracks from the whole collection of tracks brought up by Band in a Box. I can easily add my own playing or other tools to assemble fresh sounding other tracks in the DAW.
  10. Did you even start your stop watch? I was wondering if you’ve gotten down to less than three seconds yet.
  11. Agreed the above synths are “key” (pardon the pun!). But with this pack or others within EZ Keys you can kind of hear how the various playable key patterns will sound as a preview in a genre related sound. You can then drag the midi into your song and apply whatever instrument and preset you want. Or even keep the EZ Keys patch if it has the right sound for the song.
  12. Vibraphone in case anyone didn’t catch that. Hopefully $5! but I also see full price.
  13. It’s one of those “gotta get it someday” synths. At $22 I was in. The real offer price isn’t too bad.
  14. One of my favorite aspects of it is the online aspect. I can be working lyrics for a song and then while I’m out and about if an idea comes to me I can jump right to the song and update it with the idea while I have it. Because it can serve as a central place to store my lyrics I know where they are and can always jump to any particular one wherever I am. Or start a new one. Or start a new version of an existing one. Previously I had versions and notes and docs spread out all over the place. It also has a host of great features so that is an extra plus. In other words, I like it and use it.
  15. If you own any of the previous versions like the FET it’s even less for the intro price on the site. Compelling! (Even though I promised myself to never, ever, ever buy another compressor - until this one.)
