When unexpected MIDI notes play often it is the result of one or more synths with "Enable MIDI Output" turned on and the track playing the notes having its input set to "All Inputs - MIDI Omni" To check the synths open the plug-in UIs and click on the VST2/3 drop down Instrument and MIDI tracks can get set to "All Inputs - MIDI Omni" if the input is set to None and the track gets "Input Echo" (the button to the right of the record button) turned on. One way this happens is when Always Echo Current MIDI Track is enabled.

In the future when posting error messages consider capturing just the message. The text was pretty hard to read. Made doubly difficult because I do not read German. I did get enough from the message though. Something is preventing CbB from creating new files. Could be an antivirus program. See if there is a way to exempt CbB in the AV software. I have seen this reported before when Bytefence (an antimalware program) was installed with some freeware.

Use a virtual MIDI cable to connect a MIDI track to as many other instrument and MIDI tracks as desired. I use the free LoopBe1.

When documented features are unavailable the first thing to check is the workspace menu setting. Change the workspace menu to Advanced, None or create your own workspace.

^^^ This Both views need the appropriate starter to enabled them. The Loop Construction View needs an existing audio selection to load in the view. The Step Sequencer needs a container for the clip it creates.

To remove a generic driver, rename/delete the dll or remove the entry from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ASIO There should be no more than one ASIO driver for each audio device. Generic drivers such as the ones from Cubase, MAGIX, FL or ASIO4ALL conflict with factory drivers and should not be installed if there is a factory driver installed.

I just tested Matrix View MIDI learn with the virtual keyboard and it works OK. In order to get the data from the virtual keyboard in the MIDI track to the Matrix View, I set the MIDI track echo on, input to the virtual keyboard and output to LoopBe1 a virtual MIDI cable setup in preferences as a MIDI input and output device.

There are CAL scripts included for a few chords. The scripts are in plain text and the chords scripts are pretty easy to read. Creating new chord scripts is not too bad. Although using CAL is a little clunky. Chordz is a free tool to map cords onto single notes.

If safe-mode does not help may want to get BandLab to diagnose the problem. Here is how to report a crash
