    Truth Always Hurts

Well after many more listens I can say I really do like this song. Listened to some of their other videos and I like 'em. Now LT you said that you did the video? How did you get all the lyrics in sync? I couldn't detect it being out at all! And the guitar was in sync too! Great work. Listened to it over several "run of the mill" systems and they all sound about the same. Again, good work.
  2. LOL!! Just can't let it go can ya!! I wanna see a pic of that Tele, not that I don't like the look of that strat!! I will give it a better listen Bat, but from what I heard it's my cup of tea. Liked to hear the whole trilogy once your finished.

    Truth Always Hurts

This is after the first listen. Great song LT. You were right about that. Love that acoustic riff through out. She can sing, has a great voice and does the song justice. Really good production. You did a good job on that for sure! I wanna give it a few more listens under better conditions.
  4. Happy New Year Steven! And a Happy New Year to everyone!!
  5. Some of your better monitors with the 4K are getting better to deliver a good experience. I got a Acer 27" that serves me well. It's default resolution is 1440x900. This works extremely well with CW and the plugins. Nothing is too small, and most is large enough so that I don't have a problem seeing stuff. I am not going with a larger monitor because I will be sitting too close to a large 43" model like Larry has. I have thought about getting another Acer with the same resolution, but the 27" really gives me all I want. So I just have a small Dell 19" on the side that I been having for years!! I am essentially a cheap guy!! : )
  6. I will load different songs/backing tracks and start the project with one on solo. Play along with that. Next song, another key and tempo. Next song, same thing, another key and different tempo. And I have several different versions of this with different songs. CW came lots of backing tracks in the day. Sweetwater has a lot on their site to dl for free. CW also came with clips that you could string together and make backing tracks. So yes I have been using CW to practice with for quite awhile.
  7. "But he knew, he knew more than me or you, You could tell by the picture he drew It totally something new Oh where was he going to" Kansas, Portrait
  8. Highways scar the mountainside, buildings to the sky, people all around. Houses stand in endless rows, sea to shining sea, people all around. "Kansas, Song For America "
  9. Yep. To me "Song For America" is the single most unappreciated work of rock music. To me that sound and format was totally new. And it's never been matched. Listen to Phil's drumming along with Dave's bass playing in the beginning of the song, a work of art. Kerry's sythn work is phenomenally beautiful in this song. Steve's singing on this song is just unbelievable. The emotion he projects on that last verse is breathtaking to me every single time I listen to it. That song and that album is some of thier best work. Some of the best rock roll there is. "Devil's Game" is another great song and another story!!
  10. I listened to about half of this before moving on. Not my cup of tea. But then that damn synth riff kept playing in my head and I knew I had to go back a listen to the whole damn thing!! Actually not bad.
  11. My sweet spot is for French girls like the one in Pulp Fiction. Or the AT&T girl!! Or Elaine from Seinfeld Or 7of9 from STV Or Dr Crusher from STTNG Or Deanna Troy from STTNG Or...... [Edit] Or Malcom in the Middle's mom!! I'm not really picky!!
  12. Actually I like it better than Green Day.
  13. Just to ease your mind, I think that may be an optical illusion!! But it could just be my old age playing tricks on me and my mind trying to justify it!!!
  14. Great solution right there! Until they ready to bake something!!! : )
  15. Found this from that 'mysterious YouTube' algo! Nice couple of short interviews at the end. It appears to be a Japanese show. Makes you wonder why they don't do this over here.
  16. Listened to all three versions. And I still like the Ventures version. Has more energy. That's not taking anything away fromChet or Johnny. I really like both thier versions too. I am just a little partial to the Ventures. I remember hearing this song for the first time on a school bus on our way to school (not many buses had a radio in the back then!). Being a aspiring drummer, this was the best song I had ever heard.
  17. I enjoyed that. Ya gotta wonder sometimes!
  18. I don't remember this one. When he mentioned it in the video I was like "What?"
  19. I started with Professional 6 with free upgrade to 7 when released. This was the version below Pro Audio. IIRC I then went to Professional 8 and then upgraded too Pro Audio 9. I stayed with PA9 until Sonar 5. Been with it ever since.

  21. I had to read this several times before I realized that you weren't being mean!! For some reason I kept seeing an "r" that wasn't there!!
  22. I was exactly the same way. In fact, a user here was going to give me a great deal on a UAD card but I turned it down because I didn't want to get caught up in that money pit!! Then Larry had a used USB Apollo he was getting rid of and offered me a great price. I took him up on it. Having that Unison tech just changed the way I record. And I am really not overstating this. Those channel strips, when paired with a good mic (I have a middle of the road AT 4040) just get the job done. Flat out done. I am no longer fighting to get my vocals sitting in my mixes. I pick a channel strip (SSL is my fav, followed by a very close second API), get a vocal sound I like, record, and I am done! Very minor eq'ing needed. And when I add a little reverb, icing on the cake. I am by no means an expert. I am just telling my story. BTW, I got some extra processing power to help with mixing. And when I thought it couldn't get any better I upgraded that USB Apollo for the improved Apollo Twin X Quad TB3. To me, it was worth every cent.
  23. Yep!! Sabbath Bloody Sabbath & Sabotage, couple of my favs. Great job Bob. You did it justice. Tempo is great. Vocal great. Guitar tone is spot on.
