  1. Listened to this & another one recently. Both have an interesting quality about them. The use of lyrics, instrumentation & performance creates a kind of storybook quality I find quite interesting & enjoyable. They're also very clever as well. -great job.
  2. I've had this in Mercury & use it very little. It came in handy about 10 years ago & worked well on some problematic tracks I had. For free & unless you don't like Waves its a 'why not?'.
  3. Enjoyed the tune. Listening on laptop so its hard to tell but could the harshness others are talking about sounds more of an issue with the keys part & freq. buildup with the flute. I'd try eq'ing those shared range freqs., sometimes a simple one band de-esser can work wonders too. Again, I'm on laptop so take it with a grain of salt!
  4. Enjoyed this track. Tasty guitars along with the other instrumentation, good groove too.
  5. Enjoyed the track, also enjoyed the drum addition.
  6. Good tune Gary. Hope you work it up with your new band. I imagine it would go over very well performed live.

    ...

Nice track, parts of it reminded me of a cross between The Byrds & The Band.

Nice one Nigel. Enjoyed both the music & video, very well produced.

  10. @mark skinner @DeeringAmps The gtrs. were done with a DigiTech GSP2101. IIRC I used my keyboard sustain foot controller for the wah. Thanks again for listening.
  11. @mcmd @Bajan Blue @garybrun Thanks for listening, appreciate the comments. @Starise I use royalty free stock video for these backing vids, just google & you'll find several sites.
  12. From my archives a tune I wrote & recorded back in 2002. Unfortunately the project & files were lost so I can't remix it. This won't translate very well but it was a fun diversion trying to fix & restore it today. Made this quick backing video for it as well. Enjoy & Stay safe...
  13. Also reminded me of Grace Slick/ JA. Enjoyed the tune, great job all the way around.
  14. Good tune. On laptop so can't comment on the mix but everything is coming through.
  15. Enjoyed the tune, nice groove & feel.
  16. This week: Rock Rhythm Profile Pack In this pack you’ll find various rock rhythm rigs, divided in a SC/P90/HB studio/merged folder (24 profiles) and a DI folder (6 profiles). These profiles are all taken from amps I already profiled, but are all revisited or never used before. Some of the amps were profiled in the pre merged era. That explains the low number of DI profiles. After thoroughly testing all rigs I decided to go for only one SC/P90/HB folder. So, no separate humbucker folder because in my opinion all rigs go very well with a Les Paul or similar. Hereby the list of used amps: TKL : a recreation of a van Weelden Twinkleland BEC : a recreation of a Bogner Ecstasy classic F-man : a recreation of a Friedman BE100 Filmo : a recreation of a Bell & Howell Filmosound Jacky : a recreation of a Jackson Ampworks NC 30 KAE+ : a recreation of a Custom Audio Electronics CAE 3+ M-SL100 : a recreation of a Marshall Superlead 100 MP-1 : a recreation of an ADA MP-1 Gainman : a recreation of a van Weelden Gainland S-SLO : a recreation of a Soldano SLO 100 V-emp : a recreation of a V-Empire blue rumble MK II Big-B : a recreation of a Budda Superdrive 45 Archie : a recreation of a Marshall SL100 together with a J.Rocket Archer KH : a recreation of a Kittyhawk Supreme I IngW : a recreation of a Marshall Yngwie Malmsteen ML-Beta : a recreation of a MI Amplification Megalith Beta MK II Katz : a recreation of a Bogner Ecstasy classic (ch 1) together with a Katzenkönig OD Please do try the effects that I programmed in the various slots. Especially the pre stack boost and distortion (slot 2 and 3) will give your sound more spice!! I created a kind of what I call “sound thickener”. It’s located in slot 3. Try it!! It won’t thicken up your sound drastically but gives you a subtle thickness. €5.95 reg. €9.95 https://soundcloud.com/bert-meulendijk/bm-profiles-berts-rock-rhythm-pack https://bertmeulendijkprofiles.com/bert-s-rock-rhythm-pack.html
  17. I can't reproduce this issue with certainty & haven't been doing many new projects using CbB lately. I do check my buses every-time because as I said in many it also makes them mono. I get that more than the feedback problem. I would still get R4. It's excellent & by far one of the top "Natural' reverbs available.

  19. I grew up in St. Clair Shores but as many do spent many summers vacationing & camping up north & the UP.
  20. Very nice- good tune, performance & work on the string arrangement. The BIAB sax parts were also nicely done. -great job.
  21. Thanks Allan, I also appreciate your comments.
  22. Escanaba, Marquette.. being a Michigander I know the area! Good tune, reminded me of Skynyrd in a few spots.
  23. Enjoyed this, the ld. vocal has a kind of Simon quality to it. Maybe the bv's a tad over the lead in the verses? hard to tell. I'm on laptop but sounded good overall, nice production too.
  24. Maybe a better deal around Black Friday?
