Lots of things going on in this piece, and you carved a lot of spaces in this. I couldn't do that with all those frequencies so close together.. good skills. I listened to the vocal.. very nice. I always listen to the song first... then watch the video after. When watching the video... then gave the song another dimension.

It coming along well. We all paint different pictures ... but to my ears the high end... is very high end and sharp. I listen on my Focal Trios and the beryllium really enhance that.

I really dont worry about it. I would be chuft if someone nicked one of my songs and turned it into a big hit! 🙂 years ago we used to send our songs to ourselves by registered post and would never open the envolope. This way it was proven when they song was written etc. If someone came after that date and said they had wrote it... you could prove with the unopened letter. Today we do have the interent to a certain exstent!

Yes... been calling out to me for years. 🙂 I recently formed a new Blues Band called "Gary & The Norwegians" 🙂 and we where working on my songs.. but covid has shut us down for a while. There are a few talented Christian musicians on here and it would be good to get some stuff done. I have tried writing secular music... just cant no matter how I try lol.

I had some music in mind... but have ussed it mostly as a Rap between some songs.

Hi Wayne. The song I posted above I have used as RAP between singing "How great Though Art". On my side.. its not really apologetic... it is showing respect for those who don't believe and would think I was preaching or ramming stuff down their throats. Music has been my passion since I was a young Christian guy (17 years old and Im now 57) and during the period of 17-22 I wrote over 20 songs and performed them as a singer song writer. But never recorded or did anything with them... like you I have reached a certain age and thought I should do something with that gift. Now I have all the equipment and time in the world to fix it but have been waiting. We can take this on PM further if you likeas I have a lot of stuff. Well done Douglas. we all paint very different pictures... on my monitors I can hear over saturation... just a little bit harsh on the top end.

Well done on your DAW work. This has a Frankie Goes To Hollywood vibe to it.

One good tip I learnt when doing drums and vocals.... maybe it works with orchestration? Turn your volume down as low as you can then bring up slightly if your levels are good.. you should just hear the snare and the vocal (vocal being your main instrument).

Don't know what it about your music... but I do love it. Its funk and jazz all mixed up. Years ago I mixed a band from America here in Norway while they where on tour. Mr Thing and the Human Beings! Now that was funky stuff!!!

You have been a way for a while. Nice panning and sounds on the acoustic. Slide is brill could come up a touch (center)--- keeps changing center, left and right... nice... ear candy. On my speakers the kick could come up a little. backing vocals---- cool. I think you could add a little more sparkle!! We all paint different pictures.. and the average guy in the street doesn't hear the way we do (maybe too analytical) Great track!!
