  1. Thing is, that's already selected on those presets:
  2. Later versions of Kontakt use disk streaming instead of loading stuff in your RAM because modern storage is fast enough.
  3. Changing in this case would not affect any workflow for that specific case. If I have to read your manual to learn how to use a function called "Export Audio" and that is not necessary in every other piece of hardware which has it, then you're probably not doing your homework in regards to User Interface intuitiveness and standardized mental models. This analogy is not equivalent to the current scenario, because the mental model to how you change gears is the same. What is equivalent would be doing something unrelated to shifting you did in all the other cars you had before changes how your gear shifter works in this one. Then pat yourself in the back. You're a special little piece of individual which never makes mistakes like everyone else. I envy you. You're missing the point. Nobody wants to remove anything.
  4. After toying around with the FX Chain presets, I noticed the Guitar and Bass ones which include TH3 have improperly mapped macros or some knobs don't actually do anything. Here are a few examples:
  5. This type of attitude is what makes Ardour/Mixbus the outdated thing it is. If anything suggested or mentioned is not how the lead developer uses the product or doesn't make sense to him how one would do so, despite being given explanations about it, he simply doesn't do it.
  6. This is not a semantics matter. This is a case of bad design, as even if a preset which does exactly what it's been asked was added, you would still have issues because of the selection overriding it. If anything, the export window options should override what you have done on the DAW and not the other way around. Otherwise, there's no point in having it, as you could just select whatever, pick a preset and fool yourself thinking you're getting that instead of your selection.
  7. The sad part of all that is not the wonky functionality itself IMO, but seeing people defending said design flaw and engaging into semantics arguments as if the whole issue with the thing was a matter of whoever is complaining about it not understanding the meaning of words. Despite knowing about these quirks, I still run into these problems when I export because no other DAW does it that way. You hit Export, maybe choose what you want to export or maybe it's different options and it just does what you expect it to do. Plus that overriding thing is duplicated functionality that the Export window already provides for you in the form of you being able to choose what you want to export. But, of course, I won't be surprised if this behavior never changes and I still have to try the same export a few dozen times until I get it right. I'm just holding it wrong.
  8. I feel like this is Cakewalk's version of MuseScore 3's "New All."
  9. At least you didn't have Syntronik 2 added to your account, never installed it once, then came to discover you can't use it because the sounds downloads expired and that confuses you because the first version didn't have this BS.
  10. I wonder how it measures against the "big kahuna" of distortion/saturation, which is FabFilter Saturn.
  11. AVX (Advanced Vector Extensions) were added to Intel CPUs in the Sandy Bridge architecture and on the Bulldozer like for AMD in 2011. If it needed AVX2, that came in 2013. If you are able to install and use MODO Drum, your CPU has AVX instructions, as the installer will refuse to run without it.
  12. On some Vs the output jack is on the upper "leg" and that prevents you from putting the guitar in that position. Like on the Jackson King V:
  13. If you're gonna get some guitar which is a copy of some other brand, at least get a Xaviere, Agile or Harley Benton. At lest these have some level of quality to them are are not what people call a Chibson.
  14. Cakewalk seems to be the only DAW in the market where an Export preset called "Entire Mix" can mean something else depending on arbitrary factors like track selection. Plus, that's functionality which is duplicated in the Track Export window itself with presets and and the options. If the tracks you have selected before exporting override the presets, what's the point of even having presets in the first place?
  15. Aren't all the Exponential stuff authorized through the iZotope app these days?
  16. You can do that using Waves Central, although it now allows management of plugin versions down to version 10, so those extra WavesShell servers might have to stay there.
  17. So far, I'm not impressed with what TONEX offers. It's not as flexible as Amplitube, being effectively a glorified preset player that occupies 7 GB of disk space, it doesn't integrate well with Amplitube and all the sounds that come in the free version can be recreated with Amplitube by combining the amps that come with it. The simple fact that you have to pay to have access to user created presets and use them makes it worse.
  18. If anything, this new export window is currently a downgrade the way it works. You have to do extra steps for the same result and, on top of that, you might not get what you're expecting. There are other posts suggesting ways of you getting the entire mix but they're workarounds for a feature which currently reinvents the square wheel.
  19. The only place where it struggles is legato IMO. It doesn't sound like actual legato.
  20. If I got a dollar for every Piano library which always samples a Steinway, I could buy a Bösendorfer 290 Imperial Grand, have it fitted with the Disklavier system and have a technician shipped from Germany to have it tuned and setup for me.
  21. I guess they haven't learned the concept of shifts. It's not like you can have people have lunch at different times to prevent services from stopping or anything. I guess that concept is too alien for them.
