  1. Less. Much less. At least you can eat the teapot. Pretty much an admission that they're done with NORMAL (acoustic) instruments.
  2. I don't know of a single freebie that does.
  3. Worth a try. The only standalone upright bass I have is CoreBass Pear by Orange Tree Samples. Time to compare.
  4. Outstanding headphones! Love mine! And I paid WAY more. I have the 250 ohm version. Limited volume on a smartphone/tablet. Why anyone would want the 600 ohm version is beyond me.
  5. That's an even better price than what I just paid to Audio Deluxe ($32.99)!
  6. Note that Instant Flanger is on sale for $37 at Audio Deluxe. When I added it to the cart, AD automatically applied a coupon (spring19), so I got it for $32.99! Excellent! https://www.audiodeluxe.com/products/audio-plug-ins/eventide-instant-flanger-mk-ii
  7. This is a beautiful instrument, both the real and virtual ones. And a great price! I had to wait a couple of years for this price. I picked up the 3-piano bundle (Italian, German, American) at a great price years ago, but had to wait for the Ravenscroft. If you like good sampled pianos, get this one! Note that it runs in the free UVI Workstation, so the library uses UVI's excellent compression!
  8. The freebie is just sound clips of stomps, claps, snaps and thuds. At first, I confused it with the Loops de la Creme Kontakt instrument of the same name. NOT a plugin.
  9. Yellow Magic Orchestra Start with their first album "Yellow Magic Orchestra". From Wikipedia: Yellow Magic Orchestra (YMO) are a Japanese electronic music band formed in Tokyo in 1978 by Haruomi Hosono (bass, keyboards, vocals), Yukihiro Takahashi (drums, lead vocals) and Ryuichi Sakamoto (keyboards, vocals).[2] The group is considered influential and innovative in the field of popular electronic music.[2][5] They were pioneers in their use of synthesizers, samplers, sequencers, drum machines, computers, and digital recording technology in popular music,[2][6][7] and effectively anticipated the "electropop boom" of the 1980s.[8] They are credited with playing a key role in the development of several electronic genres, including synthpop, J-pop, electro, and techno, while exploring subversive sociopolitical themes throughout their career.[9] YMO was initially conceived by Hosono as a one-off exploration of computerized exotica and parody of Western conceptions of the orient. The three members were veterans of the music industry before coming together as YMO, and were inspired by eclectic sources, including the electronic music of Isao Tomita and Kraftwerk, Japanese traditional music, arcade games, funk music, and the disco productions of Giorgio Moroder. They released the surprise global hit "Computer Game" in 1978, reaching the UK Top 20 and selling 400,000 copies in the US. For their early recordings and performances, the band was often accompanied by programmer Hideki Matsutake.[10] The group would release several albums before pausing their activity in 1984. They have briefly reunited several times in subsequent decades.
  10. Good luck with this. I gave up on using my Panorama P6 as anything other than a keyboard and drum pad. I had SO many issues trying to get it to work well as a control surface, that I gave up and bought an old FaderPort. For example, I found a serious bug in the .sysex file and identified it to Nektar tech support, but they said it worked for them. Which meant, by extension, that I was SOL. Nektar seems to get their interface software working just well-enough to make the YT video, and then they mostly wash their hands of it. Terrific hardware. Poor software. I'll NEVER buy another Nektar product.
  11. I bought SSS on release. It's fantastic! Very realistic, especially the before-the-beat shaker "pre-sounds". You can layer up to three instruments. They're including the Expansion pack! Works with Kontakt Player. A license for the full Kontakt is not required.
  12. Love it! Sounded even better routed through my monitors. Would love to hear the original .wav version! The vocals start out very YMO-ish! Cool! And there are a couple of other Ryuichi Sakamoto-like moments!
  13. Takes big huevos to attempt. I'll stick with Randy Meisner's bass line. Here's another interesting cover of H.C. Two Estonian guitarists cover it, then Barry Kingsbeer added vocals and bass. The Estonians have over 24 million views. Barry? Just over 30 views in 2 years. Shame. I've had the MP3 files for awhile. Here are the 2 YouTube vids. One day, I'd like to do a cover called Hotel Arizona for No Más Muertes (http://forms.nomoredeaths.org/en/) if they make a second CD with donated songs.
  14. It feels like they spent so much time on Retro Color, Drum Shaper and Addictive Trigger that they forgot all about their core competency. I switched to Superior Drummer 3 when it was released.
  15. As good as PSP's Xenon has been, this could be an excellent upgrade! Money gone!
  16. Once again, no mention of an upgrade path from TH3 Cakewalk Edition. Grrrrr.
  17. I have no idea if I'll use these or not, but at this price? I'm in. I just hope Koby makes a couple of pennies from the deal.
  18. I waited a long time before buying Modo Bass. I got it for $150, same as above. I've never seen a lower price. Now, if they'd only add a fretless bass!
  19. Yup. $30.99 from Koby at EveryPlugin!

    TASCAM 1608

I just removed my 16x08 from service. The latest Win10 version (1809) blew up the driver and my Internet speed (hard to figure that one!). I pulled my old PreSonus AudioBox 44VSL out of the closet (where it went after the first Win10 release killed the VSL driver), installed the latest UC driver (no VSL support), crossed my fingers and rebooted. Everything worked great. Nice to have an audio interface back. At least the 16x08 can be used as a simple 8 mic preamp box when no USB connection is present. Unless or until Tascam update the 16x08 driver, my guess is that your struggles will continue. Sorry for the bad news.
  21. +1 The remaining free VIs in this family currently are: Amplified Cello Quartet, Charango, Choir, Drums, Electric Piano, Frozen Strings, Soft Piano, Strings and Synth Pads. You access them via the LABS VST. The UIs are all the same: 2 slides and 1 rotary knob. The parameters they control vary from VI to VI. Kontakt NOT required. LABS is the host. Nice! I think it's terrific of Spitfire to package existing samples with additional new processing into these little freebies. First rate!
  22. Just wondering what you think of the Pearl Default kit in the SD3 Core library. Probably doesn't fit your style of music, but it works great for me.
