  1. I enjoyed the listen - especially the lyrics and the story they told. I liked your lead vocal as well - a perfect fit for the song. I enjoyed that banjo as well. The mix sounded quite nice to my ears. Well done.
  2. Oh yeah - this one had me dancing along with it - very cool composition. I liked the bass - it galloped along with the groove. I think the mix is excellent. Very creative Tom - I enjoyed the listen - nice job.
  3. I like your songs and I like your mixes - I enjoyed this very much. Cool groove, which caught my interest right away. The bass sounded excellent and the lead vocal was very nice. Well done - cool video as well. I don't know who Barquentine is - I did a web search and found that the word means a sailing vessel of some type.
  4. I enjoyed your composition - to me it was a positive and upbeat experience, and I liked the melodies - nicely done. Regarding the mix - I just think it needs to be cranked up a bit - the volume was a bit low through my cans.
  5. Good song guys - nice job - I really enjoyed the lead vocal, and the mix sounds quite good to my ears. I liked that guitar solo - very cool.
  6. That's a cool song Lynn - I always enjoy your vocal. I think I agree with Michael regarding the lead guitar sections when you're not singing - perhaps pan them to the center. Besides that, I think the mix is quite good.
  7. I liked the main guitar riff - it drives the song along quite well. Cool instrumental.
  8. Hey Lynn - thanks for your kind comments - I'm glad you liked it.
  9. Hey Wookiee - thanks for listening and for your comments. I'll check back with the master mix to take a look at Ozone 9.

That's pretty wild Leadfoot - a metal religious song - this really rocks - excellent mix. I really like your lead vocal, and there's some really cool guitar playing in this. Impressive drum track as well - it really drives the song. Well done.
  11. Thanks for listening Leadfoot.
  12. Thanks for listening Nigel. The lead guitar was my Gibson Les Paul plugged directly into a Focusrite Scarlett audio interface. The guitar vst was Overloud TH-U - I think the amp was the '62 Fender Brownface Deluxe for the lead. I've been pretty happy with TH-U as an amp sim for my songs.
  13. I enjoyed the song - especially the lyrics. Yeah, as others mentioned, those drums are booming. That guitar solo was quite nice.
  14. That's a cool short composition - you should do a lengthier version. What sound library did you use there?
  15. Hey Freddy - thanks for listening and for your comments. The drums on this one are Addictive Drums 2.
  16. Definitely a wild ride - I liked that bass groove. The cool thing about this one is that I never knew what was coming next.
  17. I loved the wah on the lead guitar - very cool. You definitely have your own style - very recognizable to my ears. Do you ever play out?
  18. That's a cool song Leadfoot - I liked the intensity of it. The slide you played on the resonator was cool - I enjoyed hearing that in the song.
  19. Thanks Bjorn - I always appreciate your ears.
  20. Great job - I enjoyed the listen - good luck with getting this out in Nashville. I agree with emeraldsoul about the bass - it could be turned up a bit, IMO.
  21. I like your vocal on this one - it works quite well with this song. I also enjoyed the lyrics - nice job.
  22. Thanks for listening. What I usually do is bounce down the tracks to a stereo master - making sure I'm not pushing the master fader levels too hard. I then used Ozone 9 on this one on the stereo track - which adds a bit of punch and increases the gain a bit. I go by ear, so there's no definite level I shoot for. Since I'm doing albums, I try to make sure all the songs are close regarding the volume.
  23. Thanks for listening Bapu - I appreciate it.
  24. Very appropriate for the times - nice job. I like that delay on the lead vocal - that sounded very cool. Very funny lyrics. The harmonica was very cool as well.
  25. Thanks for listening Tom - I panned the lead guitar parts at 40 to the right on the prechorus and 50 to the right on the verse. At the end, I panned the lead guitar to 50 on the left. On the intro, breaks and the solo it's up the middle.
