Who's GN?

Novum is one of the few new, 'groundbreaking' synths I've heard in years.
Been on my watch list since it was released. Tempted.

Don't forget the free legacy versions of their plugins, including Phase Two that is the previous version of this plugin.
https://www.audiodamage.com/pages/free-and-legacyThanks Sergio. Great tip.

It just keeps getting better and better!
These guys teaming up rocks. Cream of the crop and all integrated. The way to go.
They keep improving and are consistent in their support. Quality companies teaming up is so nice to see.
So glad I bought in to Console 1, Volume 6, UAD ultimate bundle and Fabfilter everything bundle.
The efficiency and work flow are so efficient. The sound quality and pallet is way more than enough.
I really should stop buying anything else and just stay with this ecosystem even though I've bought almost every other platform and product too.

It seems when bad companies buy out good companies this type of decline happens more often than not.
I remember when Maxtor bought out Seagate. Maxtor drives were notorious for failing. Seagate were my go to drives for years before the buy out. Sure enough after the merger guess what? Seagate failures began to increase. I had to switch to WD.
I expect more declines and issues with NI and Izotope as well as PA over the coming years. Sad stuff.
But they'll milk it dry and ruin it for many in the meantime. Profiteering at it's worst. Good luck to us all.

I thought their 'everything' bundle was like $200 during sales. Is that not really everything and in order to actually get everything one needs to buy the 'ultimate' bundle? Glad I waited if so.
But I'll wait until the ultimate bundle is like at least half that price before I'm interested.

Glad I checked old emails. I already had a serial from Don't Crack. Got v3 for free. Thanks guys. Saved me the $15 I was about to spend.
Seems like a good company with good policies.

I got it. Timely as well. Combining that with my other voucher, I was able to get World Suite for $80!
Nice deal! So how much was your other voucher then? Because I see world suite for $299. I have an $80 voucher in my account currently.
But haven't received the $25 voucher yet for grabbing Noctua free. I wonder if it takes a day?
I will also keep watching to see if they have a sale before 1/31 as that will help leverage things better.
But right now they have their orchestral suite for $149. So that would be $44 with both vouchers if so. Seems a decent price.

Learned the ropes at kvr, gearslutz and vicontrol but the cakies forum sure has the good vibe for over ten years, with oldies but goodies like @cclarry, @BassDaddy, @Bapu, @lawajava, @Grem, @Zo, @mettelus, @John Maar,@DeeringAmps, @TheSteven, @Zargg, and the dear ones I’m forgetting right now.
Meanwhile, some fine newcomers have joined the band. Happy 2024, guyz.Yep. I recognize the cclarry name for a long time now too.
I was on KVR probably around 2000 as a lurker for years. Was into audiosoft since about '97. Time is flying.
Plan to hang out here nowadays. Never got into gearslutz other than reading gear reviews occassionally.
vicontrol I just found 6 months ago. Didn't realize it existed.

GIFT25
Expires: 01/17/2024 11:59 PM PST
Coupon only valid on purchases of $75 or more. Cannot be used on Antares Auto-Tune Realtime Advanced or C-Suite plug-ins.I'm trying to use GIFT25 for the second time and it says it's invalid.

Also for $74 you can get two Spitfire libraries over at uaudio.com
They have the Spitfire Chamber Strings, Symphonic Woodwinds and Symphonic Brass on offer.
All are Luna only (Mac) though. But for about $37 each that's a steal for Mac/Luna users.
How: Choose the Custom 2 pack for $99 and use the $25 off code GIFT25.
Note: Also, I was able to buy Antares Auto-Tune Realtime Advanced Plug-In for UAD-2 as part of the two pack with my GIFT25 code just fine on my initial purchase and then immediately received another specific gift code for an additional $25 off on my next purchase.Other notables:
Neve Summing (Luna extension only)
Sonnox stuff
C-Suite stuff
Tube -Tech collection

$159.60 for their everything bundle. Not bad actually.
Isn't this the same guy that had the Loop Loft years ago? Just doing the same thing?
If so, smart move. Money is likely flowing in with the volume approach.
As I was considering buying eventuallly at $199. If I had the cash now I'd probably bite at $159.
But I'm way overspent this holiday season. Maybe next year.
And does 'everything' really mean everything? That's what I wonder. If so, does waiting till next year get me all the 2024 stuff too in the everything bundle?

They're not very sophisticated sample libraries. It's pretty much at the level that was the norm 20 years ago. Yes, it's nice for free, but you can find a number of vastly superior free drum sample libraries. I created two threads that contain lists of free libraries that include drum kits, one is for owners of the full version of KONTAKT and the other are libraries that come with or work on free players. All of those libraries are far more sophisticated than the JRR kits. Personally, I downloaded the JRR kits the last time they gave them away free, but ended up deleting them except for an 80s drum machine-ish kit where I wasn't concerned with it trying to sound like an authentic drum kit.
Off hand, Analogue Drums has a very nice free kit called Big Mono, there's the free BFD Player, Steven Slate Drums Free version, Sterzov The Creative Toolbox Drums and Percussion, Spitfire Labs free drum kit and IK's MODO Drums free version -- all of those are superior to the JRR kits. There's more on my lists, but I don't want you to be bummed out over missing these kits. There are much better ones out there.
Thanks for that. Appreciate it. Yeah, I suspected as much. Simple little freebies Uncle E has created to generate some hopeful sales.
The collector in me thought it was worth a mass grab if all free at once. But barely.
Thanks for the tips on the other stuff. I should have come over here years and years ago from KVR when Fleer quit there.
The community is still alive and well here it seems. Appreciate your time and input PavlovsCat.
Ding!

"The update is free for users who purchased a Realphones license in 2022 and 2023. For other users, upgrades with a nice discount are available in the customer area as part of the loyalty program. Realphones 1.8 will remain available for those who decide not to update."
I bought it in 2022 so got 2.0 for free. But I only bought the basic edition with 3 calibrations.
It's $38 for me to upgrade to Ultimate. WIthout the survey 50% off as I didn't know about it either.
How much was it for you all to upgrade?
-
Dang. I missed it too.
I've gotten a few over the years, but it was always too much bother to try and get them all.
But all at once for free would be worth the time I guess. Sadly I missed it. Ah well...
