I reached out and got a $50 voucher, but $349 is still a considered purchase and not "no-brainer" territory.

On the fence at the moment.

Same here. Had the given me a $100 off voucher I'd have been much more inclined at $299.

    Hey Rational ...

If you have/use the UVI Portal ...

To see what Products you 'Don't' own, all you have to do is follow these couple steps:

    - Open UVI Portal & Login

    - Select 'My Library' (3rd Option Down Left Menu)

    - Select 'All Products' (Top Right Hand Side, just below your Login Name)

    - Scroll down to when you see the black 'Subscribe' & 'Buy' tags in Product Info etc (Also these products have Grey background as opposed to White)

Every Product with a  Black 'Subscribe' & 'Buy' tag is what you don't currenty have a license for..

    Hope that helps :)

    Best

*I'm  same btw, UA got that right for sure! Makes things very simple.

    Thank you. That worked perfectly.

I emailed them saying that $399 was a bit too much for me and that I'd heard that some people on vi control were being given $150 vouchers and saying I'd snap it up at $249. They replied thanking me for my loyalty and gave me a $50 voucher. Not terrible over all considering after I looked at how much I still really had left to buy, it was quite a lot of stuff still.

So $350 to own all the rest of their catalogue? Not bad. Likely will grab it before the April 14th deadline.

More and more I hesitate to purchase iLok plugins. Not because I am an iLok opponent, no on the contrary I have been very happy with the iLok dongle offline activation. I could simply take the dongle to my everyday laptop, add an activation and then bring it back to my recording pc.

But in the last years I am concerned that a couple of plugin providers dropped iLok and replaced it by a proprietary authorization system, sometimes even requiring online activation! I hate that! It's not the way I purchased those plugins and I wonder whether this is really legal.

The good thing is that this caused me to concentrate my plugin hoarding to those with pure offline authorization, and honestly I own now enough of them so that I am free of the "no more activation" threat! Even my favorite DAW supports a user-friendly activation!

Not a bad idea actually. I'd be curious if there's a list online of those companies or if you can provide your list?

  4. I also see an upgrade price of $399 for me. And I already own a ton of their stuff. But not sure what I'm missing.

I sent them a support ticket asking if they can easily tell me what products I'll get that I don't already own.

The website makes it difficult to determine what I already have vs what I don't and I don't wish to spend the time or energy to figure it out.

(Uaudio.com at least lets met click on the little 'eye' icon in the top right of their website to shut off all 'owned' items. Nice! )

Which means I probably won't buy it becuase I already own WAY TOO MUCH STUFF.

With a voucher that would bring it down to $249 I'd just buy it.

The fact that the BFD 3.5 update is free for all BFD3 owners makes me delighted; it's a great offer.
I think my drum arsenal is excellent now that the latest AD Drums 2update  is also available for free.

I have avoided  Toontrack since the upgrade fiasco.

Thanks for pointing this out Pragi. I was able to visist fxpansion and click on the button to migrate my account to inmusic.

Took only a few steps and a few minutes. Now shows up in my inmusic account. Downloading now. Thanks!

Seems inmusic is finally starting to do things right. Took them two decades but they're starting to treat us smartly with the free updates for prior owners.

They need to keep doing more goodwill gestures like this for those of us who have seen them in a low tier, poor light forever. This is a good start.

Also glad they're updating things still. Nice to see. Things are looking up for them.

I forgot to post this one a week or two ago when it was released.

But it seems that Erik still has the price marked 50% off on his latest personal template release even though the countdown timer seems to have ended.

I really like this guy and wish him the best of success in his business trying to help people make actual music.

He's got a great heartfelt video that I thought people should see to get to know him and that he's out there trying to help people make progress and not just buy more and more stuff.

not as good as 60% off, but you can get it for 50% off with "200Voucher"

Yeah, it was approx. $160 for me with the CYBERMONDAY60OFF code.

Seems to be approx $200 for me with the 200Voucher code. Thanks but going to wait. Even if it takes another full year. ..yet again. Their loss.

    Let's see...

In May 2023 I purchased Komplete 14 Collectors Edition Update Download for $ 225.41
and it included the Plugin Alliance Komplete 14 Collectors Editions PA Bundle which they claim had an MSRP of $ 2,043

Today - for my Komplete 15 Collectors Edition Update (no PA Bundle this time) NI is asking $499.
So for $273.59 more  I get $2,043 less product...
Wow, the only thing that could make this more attractive to me would be if this was a subscription.

I think I'll wait till summer (when I usually buy Komplete anyway) and see if the offerings are a little more wallet friendly.

    Ditto here.

They want me to pay $499 to go from 14CE to 15CE. Ah... a big fat no.

I'll consider it at $299. But even at $249 which it starts being more compelling, I'd really have to look at what new stuff comes with it though.

Izotope is also not compelling for me anymore since the buy out. They just offer no compelling upgrade path for me even though I own almost everything from both companies as well as most of the plugin-alliance catalog.

There's zero loyalty bonus for owning most of it all already. It's really a sad marketing strategy.

Trying to easily find where to see what's new for me since 14UCE.

  9. Looks like there's still 12  hours left on the clock just now when I checked.

The templates are fantastic. And so are the masterclasses. Feels like just those alone were worth the price of just over a hundred bucks.

So feels like I got the soundpacks as a bonus overall. Great support when I ask for it in the discord too. Well pleased with Erik there at rapidflow.

  11. Yes, but how many of you were actual subscribers?

I think the sub rate has fallen over the years.

I only subbed this past year and a few years ago for a year.

It had been five years before that for a year as well. So over 10+ years I only subscribed for like 3 years worth.

I don't think the new kids are bothering it seems.

With AI about to hit all this stuff is likely past tense in many ways.
