  1. There are call spammer bots which can flood a number with calls to the point the carrier has to take the number down.
  2. If this performance was done by Malmsteen, you could've had every single guitar player on the cruise jamming along. Or the ship would sink because of the excessive amount of Marshalls.
  3. Why stop at social media. Internet is also the reason, as the constant fear of missing out is present even without social media.
  4. Keep in mind that Waves' Essential plan costs the same per year and you get 110 plugins.
  5. At times I forgot there was music playing. That's how memorable that piece was to me.
  6. "I'm gonna shoot you in the head with a shotgun, but as long as the bullets hit you very softly, you won't feel a thing. Wanna try?"
  7. Rather than looking at specs, I'll install the trial version of Elements 10 and compare it against my Elements 9 license.
  8. That listing is useless in practice because you don't know which features are on each versions, especially if you compare with something like Cubase's which also tells you which versions have which new features. https://www.steinberg.net/cubase/new-features/
  9. Well, if you happen to be John Mayer, you might get a mooning from Mary Spender instead....
  10. Didn't Rob Scallion do the same thing 6 years ago?
  11. I just do the singing myself. The only person listening to what I compose is myself anyways, shitty singing or not.
  12. I'm pretty sure a full ProTools HDX or Dante system with all the software included still costs less than a Tesla with some shitty DAW built in.
  13. As opposed to the 5 million others coming from YouTubers from all walks of success ready to offer their rear end to said players if asked?
  14. As some people have pointed, 10 Elements is essentially a paid version of Master Assistant.
  15. It's clear that IK could care less about the software front with TONEX. Like the X pedals the software is just an afterthought to market the physical product. And since you can use the pedal without the software, in the end, having a half assed software product is secondary. It's not like the competitors where the software is part of the product.
  16. You can and you should. A good example of that was when Samsung released the Galaxy S6 and it didn't have a removable battery. When inquired about that, Samsung said the battery had to be internal otherwise the phone wouldn't have its IP67 rating. Then you look at the S5 and it has a removable battery AND an IP67 rating.
  17. That's not how IKM works. Their business model consists of luring new customers in with better deals, then nick and dime them out of all their money once they're already into the scheme. And that doesn't seem like it will change any time soon, especially considering their profits.
  18. I feel like the Kirchoff would have been better off just packaging that whole dynamic EQ section as a separate plugin instead of trying to be a "quantity over quality" cheaper alternative to Pro-Q. That would allow them to be their own thing instead of being that plugin which copies another, which was the first impression I had when I first saw it without having seen the clickbait reviews which, ironically, also pitch it against the plugin it copies.
  19. You can also get a similar effect by having your kick drum trigger a low frequency sine wave when it hits.
  20. Currently, it makes no sense for the "None" option in the MIDI input to mean something else than what it implies. That's the same lying to the user thing which happens in the Export Window, where selections done before opening it override presets. And it causes plugins which do send MIDI out events to trigger other instrument tracks, forcing you to manually turn off midi out on each instrument that does it.
  21. If you replace the time selection with another menu that allowed you to select which sections you want when you have that selected, you can. That would be just moving said menu from where it is now to the new place.
  22. Or, you could use this nifty tool called Room EQ Wizard, which has everything you need and it's free.
  23. Let's raise one glass in the honor of the company formerly known as Native Instruments: Active Incompetence.
  24. I find strange how my opinion of not finding the plugin amusing because I don't have nostalgia for Porta Studios or vintage reel to reel machines equates to me not understanding how tape machines work. And I have other plugins which do the exact same thing and can be left on the tracks in question. Because they're not CPU heavy. The only other tape plugin which interests me and I intend on buying it when I can is u-he's Satin. While Saturn is another interesting offer, Dent 2 and Indent 2 from Unfiltered Audio more or less fill that role.
