Mallet percussion is nice. I like that extra rhythmic layer. Low brass nice and full. Wow you got a ton of stuff going on here! I like the parallel phrases High Octave-Low Octave melodies. Tubular bells - nice.

Nice song. I like the effects on the vocals - it is a nice change in the sound at that point. Very nice horns. I never did a horn piece. Nice accents with them.

Nice David. You got a lot of crazy rhythmic things going on. The way you put it all together is really good. I like the way the bass and drums just keep on trudging along and the other parts bounce between these rhythms . Crazy guitar at the end lived the pan stuff.

Use windows uninstall (programs and features) take both out and start over.

Any users? Opinions? Do they have sales? Any better libraries in this price range? I like the rhythm stuff, but not absolutely necessary. It looks like fun.

A thought for later - I use to do what you are doing. When I started liking Kontakt and in the box stuff I decided to sample my favorite K2500 sounds into the computer. There is a program called Samplit2 that I use for this. Now when I want to record a track with K2500 sounds, I load the "sampled" sound into Kontakt. Then all I have to do is to bounce the midi through Kontakt. This way I can have 16 tracks bounced to audio in a few minutes instead of an hour and a half of one track at a time. And that is not even the best part! The best part comes when I need to change a note or two in a track. I can easily just bounce it again or freeze and unfreeze the track. I saw an SY77 sample pack somewhere, not sure how accurate it is. And I don't know if you are doing much custom patches. Oh yes, the one track at a time does work .

Back when I used TTS-1 I usually used 4 midi tracks to each TTS-1 which is the maximum pre instance. There is nothing wrong with one track for each TTS-1. It will sound the same either way! No right or wrong way.

Ok Thanks again Steve but - I decided to try it out - I added some notes in Take lane 1 - Then I froze the track. Came back to the track to edit the notes. Can't edit noted in a take lane in a frozen track. Back to VSTNotePad for now.

If you were to buy just one Acustica-Audio Plugin(set) (regardless of sale) which would you buy?

Never used Take lanes - I wish they would add this to regular tracks. I wonder why it is in take lanes but not in regular lanes?? Thanks SCook!

I love Samplitude for burning and mastering CDs. I used Sound forge, Wavelab, and Samplitude, back in the day. Sound Forge and Wavelab seemed best at small audio edits and converting bit rates etc. I still like the object oriented design of Samplitude for making CDs.

*without creating a new instrument and copying midi into that.. I usually already have extra tracks set up. Nothing wrong with copying to a new midi track. I usually record several tracks then point them to the Drum instrument track to audition them. Glad you are getting close! Not sure why of how much latency you have. Low quality midi cable could cause data errors and slow things down a little. Also the length of the cable makes a small difference (Not much but some)

Not just two, but you can do splits inside splits, inside those and so on. I did 5 levels of splits parallel and multiband inside of parallel - multiband splits - just to see if I could. Don't know if it has a limit or not. I'm sure the limit is my brain tracking the audio paths.

Echo on...... Yes this would be nice. Nothing fancy, just a good basic notation. Not like S1 where you have to bounce stuff back and forth.

Q1: So do I use an instrument or just a basic midi track? (not certain I understand the difference) There is no actual differenct - it is only about how you look at it. I like a plain and simple midi track. No VSTs, No VSTi's Listen to TD25 with one headphone and the Laptop audio other ear. Or use a mixer and route both to some Monitors. Q2: Will all the different triggered notes map to the right drums when I move to EzDrummer? And what's the best way to do this... just copy paste? There will be nothing to copy and paste. Just midi. Once it is recorded you add the EZ Drummer VSTi and point the Midi track to it. Q3: Is this the best/right approach to reduce or eliminate latency while capturing midi (don't need the audio) from my Roland Drum Module? It is the only good way to do it. I never had much luck with ASIO4All. Better luck with Q4: To improve/simplify things - would a Midi interface device (hardware) between the TD25 and the laptop be of any help? Or since I already have USB direct out of the TD25, will that make any difference at all? Not sure but I don't think it would make much difference. TD25 already has midi. One thing, though- what a lot of people perceive as MIDI latency is really audio latency. Which is another discussion altogether.

I have a MOTU Fastlane and Roland drums. All you have to do is just listen to the audio and record away! Midi card does not affect latency - mostly the audio card. If I am looking for low latency, I usually bounce the projects music to a single track. Then open it in a new project (No plugins). Add the midi track and record. I also have a MOTU Express 128 that I also use. Not much difference between these when only recording a single midi track.
