  1. I was relying a list compiled by someone else but searching the knowledge base, I found an article about SONAR 5 talking about SpectraFX so it must have been included in at least that version too. While digging around for an older version of SpectraFX, I recalled an earlier plug-ing free for SONAR 2 users ($19 otherwise) called Plasma FXPad (found it on a cached Cakewalk page using the Wayback Machine). pretty sure it was the basis of SpectraFX.
  2. Yeah, read the wrong value. It is fixed.
  3. There are a couple of ways. One way is select the MIDI notes and set the velocity using the Event Inspector. The discussion about velocity in the Event Inspector happens around 13:00
  4. SpectraFX. available as a 32 and 64bit DX plug-in. was bundled with SONAR Producer 6 through X2.
  5. The performance module is documented here
  6. To prevent accidentally changing the value in track control drop down, set the two shortcuts to do nothing in preferences.
  7. Have not seen it as a result of saving a project but keyboard shortcuts SHIFT+Left/Right Arrow may result in a tracks without FX Racks. This is also set with the drop down in the red box shown in the image blow
  8. Sometimes. The manual for the device or the manufacturer's site should have the info.
  9. We may have a different definition of a deal. Don't recall Sean ever offering his plug-ins at a discounted price. Do consider $50 a good deal for this plug-in though.
  10. Might be worth sending a sample project to support with a detailed explanation of the problem. I don't use the plug-ins mentioned in this thread so, have no way to test. Does the problem persist if the project is saved and re-opened? Does the delay vary based on the library loaded or is it constant for the plug-in?
  11. Yes, I know. Hence the anticipated longevity of the deal. Can't tell you how disappointed I was ~2013 when Sean decided not to make a pitch shifting delay. Nice to see one now.
  12. The good news is this deal will likely go on for some time.
  13. Not necessarily., I know at least some of the project templates bundled with CbB route audio preview to a Preview bus. Audio and MIDI preview assignments are made using the browser menu on the media browser tab, B on the image below
  14. According to the doc, CC7 is hard-coded to volume but may be used for other things too. I do not believe I have ever used CC10 with DP. Never used the synth that much. It may be a bad MidiCfgnn.bin file. I believe there are up to 10 of these MidiCfg00.bin through MidiCfg09.bin. They are created on demand and support the MIDI learn function. The files are stored in C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Dimension Pro\MIDI IIRC, removing them causes the synth to forget any bindings created with MIDI learn. Converting CC data to MIDI automation reads the CC data, converts the data into the automation format, writes the data into automation area of the project and removes the CC data. On playback, MIDI automation is converted back to CC data and added to the MIDI data stream for the plug-in. So, if a plug-in does not respond to CC data, it will not respond to the same data converted to MIDI automation.
  15. CbB will save files based on what file was opened. Open a MIDI file and by default CbB saves a MIDI file. Unfortunately MIDI files only contain MIDI data so any changes outside of the MIDI spec are lost. When opening a MIDI file make sure to save as a Cakewalk project to save non-MIDI data such as soft synth assignments.
  16. When creating a new project using the start screen or CTRL+N, audio is stored in the global audio until the project is saved. When saved, the audio may be copied to the location specified in the audio path in the Save As dialog. By default this is a folder below the project path called Audio. If it seems projects are not saving properly note the project and audio paths at the bottom of the dialog. The New Project dialog called from the main menu File > New... also defaults the audio folder under the project folder. The default project folder is read from preferences.
  17. This plug-in was last updated in 2010. From what I can tell, BandLab has no plans for it. Cakewalk had stopped selling DP some time ago and was selling Rapture Pro as the replacement for DP and Rapture. BandLab has mentioned releasing Rapture Pro but has not given any indication when this may happen. DP is not a GM synth. What makes discussing CC and DP even harder is the lack of context. CC is used in a variety of ways for example: sfz files may use CC values to control parts of the program and the modulation matrix also uses CC. I would recommend controlling overall pan and volume on the audio track and each element's pan and volume by automating the plug-in instead of using GM defined MIDI CC directly.
  18. No, "Save As" to a different name in the existing project folder effectively renames the project (although the original project file will still be in the folder). Alternately, the project folder/file may be renamed at the OS level.
  19. The most recent version of Channel Tools is 1.0.4.0 from 13 Oct 2015. Aside from being compiled against newer libraries, I am not sure if the were any other changes.
  20. The OP did post in the CbB Q&A area Please post replies over there. Locking this thread
  21. I downloaded it a couple of months ago but have not installed it. Was going to check it out as a possible suggestion for those that did not have Channel Tools. It looks like a reasonable candidate. I use Channel Tools. Like most Cakewalk plug-ins, it is not copy protected and may be installed without actually installing any other part of X3 by using the advanced install option. That said, if my primary purpose was panning, I would put Boz Digital Labs Pan Knob on the short list. It is on sale ATM. A trial version is available.
  22. Use Save As with "Copy all audio with project" to create a new project in a different folder Verify the new project is what is expected Delete the old project folder
  23. It is the same place in CbB https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Dialogs2.012.html Under the main menu - Insert
  24. Hiding items reduces the number of checks CCC performs. The hide option is on each installer's context menu. Most top level items may not be hidden.
