  1. Yup! Wonder what I paid for it 3 years ago? Now all I have to do is figure out how to shut it up. Pick a patch. Play one note. The background modulations keep right on modulating (on the standalone version). I hate to say this, but I'm going to have to read the manual. EDIT: I paid just under £40, whatever that was in US$ (about $50 now). So, this is a freakin' bargain!
  2. OK. So, after 3 years, I registered it with Izotope and guess what? There be the add-ons. Downloading now. Channeling my best Rosanna Rosannadanna... Neeeeever mind!
  3. When I bought this from Plugin Boutique 3 years ago, all I got was the main instrument installation file. No 10 GB of contents. Any idea where I can get that?
  4. I have v2.02 from 3 years ago. Is that still the current version?
  5. I have Nektar's NP-2 sustain pedal that is excellent. I would expect their expression pedal to be as well built. For an expression pedal, I have the Moog EP-3 pedal that is also excellent, but more than double the price at $49.
  6. Currently installing Bass Fingers. The install size wasn't listed online, but showed up at install time. Interestingly, you get 2 choices: the SD files or the HD files. 2.x GB vs 15.x GB. HD for me. We shall see.
  7. Yup. There have been a number of patches since then. I think BiaB is up to v 2019 build 628.

  9. We recorded right over the track change. Made the 'glitch' much less noticeable.
  10. Not this one exactly, but a reasonable facsimile thereof. Only used to record practices. And yes, Bubba, that's an 8-track.
  11. I have this as part of NI's Komplete bundle, but you can also get it directly from Scarbee. It's a Kontakt library, so it plays in the free Kontakt Player. The full Kontakt is not required. Good sound samples here: https://scarbee.com/collections/basses/products/scarbee-rickenbacker-bass
  12. That .xts file extension looks proprietary to energyXT. Any chance energyXT has an export function to output each preset as a General MIDI file?
  13. I have six-pack abs! Check that. Five-pack abs! Check that' Four-pack abs! Dayam, they're going quick!
  14. Lovely, Andy! Steve Hackett is also one of my favs. Saw him with Genesis before he went solo. The show I remember the most was his first solo tour stop at a small club in Chicago. Good thing he left Genesis after Gabriel. I love good nylon-strung guitar work. Big fan of Oscar Lopez and Ottmar Liebert. And a lot of the other Nouveau Flamenco artists.
  15. I use nickelwound Curt Mangan strings on my Gibson SG, but he also offers stainless, phosphor, nickelwound (coated), and flats. Made in the US of A. Go here for sets: https://www.curtmangan.com/5-string-bass/ Go here for single strings: https://www.curtmangan.com/single-strings-bass/ The 5-string nickelwound sets are under $35 and a single nickel wound 110/120/130 B string is just over $8. No need to change the set out. The owner of AZ Music Pro here in Flagstaff turned me on to these strings. Really happy so far.
  16. I've had Unique for awhile. Nice little synth. But I did find that Thesys had a minor update (to add a resizable GUI). So, time in this thread well spent!
  17. Good thing there are plenty of exposure bucks floating around, so those artists can pay their bills. Really sad. We're lucky here in Flagstaff that the Orpheum Theater is still going strong. It's in the middle of old downtown. The only thing residential close to it is a gawd-awful 5-story hotel that everyone in town hates. F-em. Besides, it's home to a killer Sky Black & The Mural Mice mural (The Sound Of Flight).
  18. I just updated to Win10 1903. No problems so far. But... The background image I had been using for the desktop was made brighter for some reason. Had to go. Here's the free replacement I'm using. I have shortcuts on the left and right sides of my desktop, so this works perfectly. Dark, but not black. Easily readable labels. Easy on the eyes. 19. Outstanding version! Props! I just wish Grits Ain't Groceries didn't pop into my head every time I see the topic title. 😖 I hear this song several times a week on the Slacker (LiveXLive) Modern Blues channel. Here are the lyrics from the Little Milton version. You'll see what I mean. If I don't love you, baby Grits ain't grocery Eggs ain't poultry And Mona Lisa was a man Oh yeah, let's get into it, listen All around the world I'd rather be a fly I'd lite on my baby 'n stay with my woman 'till I die With a toothpick in my hand I'd dig a ten foot ditch And run all through the jungle fightin' lions with a switch Because you know I love you, baby Ooh you know I love you baby, yeah Now if I don't love you baby, I tell you Grits ain't grocery, eggs ain't poultry And Mona Lisa was a man Oh baby, Uh! Listen All around the world I've got blisters on my feet I'm trying to find my baby And bring her home with me You better run into me baby and-a be convinced If you don't run into me right now, woman You ain't got no sense Because you know I love you, baby Oh, you know I love you baby, yeah! Well, if I don't love you baby I tell ya Grits ain't grocery, eggs ain't poultry And Mona Lisa was a man C'mon y'all Hit me! Ooh baby, listen All around the world I never will forget I lost all my money, my woman and my pet But I've got to have you baby And I'll settle for nothing less Give up all my good time, baby And stay for happiness Because you know I love you baby, yeah Oh, you know I love you baby, yeah Well, if I don't love you baby, I tell ya Grits ain't grocery Eggs ain't poultry And Mona Lisa was a man Oh! Come on Baby! Hit me, band! Yeah! FADES A-don't you know I love you, baby Ev'ryday and.
  20. Installed it 15 minutes ago. The two music boxes play great! Just what I needed to write my own GOT score! Not!
  21. Picked this one up. Nice to have another Chromaphone sound bank. I don't have either of the dev's other sound banks (Fear Within and String Theory). Not quite my thing.
  22. Excellent UI. Fully MIDI mappable. The large number of factory presets, samples and multi-samples do a really good job of showing off its capabilities. Smooth-sounding so far. I don't own Serum (but have Cthulhu), so can't compare, but it's way more fun and way easier to get into than Codex. Seems odd not to support ASIO in the standalone version. At least I can play the VST through ASIO in Gig Performer, so no need to load a DAW. The current version is not yet a year old, so this isn't just some corpsical software risen from the dead. Money well spent.
  23. Couple of notes. 1) Sektor standalone does NOT support ASIO, just Windows Audio and Direct Audio (really laggy) 2) The installation SUCKS. It places all executables, both 32-bit and 64-bit, in whichever folder you specify. This includes the VST3 file. I had to manually move the VST3 and standalone EXE and ICO files to more appropriate locations. Re install size... The VST2, VST3 and EXE files are 49 MB each. Note that I deleted the 32-bit versions. The expansions (Factory, et. al) show 4.24 GB of used disk space. It took a minute to find them. On my system, they're at: C:\Users\Primary\AppData\Roaming\IgniteVST\Sektor
