  1. I really like Audiority but this one has hit 32.50 ish sales quite a few times. I expected a lower guaranteed lowest price given the lack of voucher stacking this month. Sadly this also suggests we won't see it hit the $10 PB bin soon.
  2. I won't try this new one until it is dirt cheap but as much as I respect iZotope that very old freebie(upgrade was lipstick on a pig). I never thought that one was worth more than free.
  3. Let me guess "free" but they only give you a single authorization and it also is part of the dreaded waves shell vst scans? Or did they make this product an exception so it would be worth dealing with?
  4. It is pretty well documented that the tracks are basically created most of the time and then it is given to MJK to come up with lyrics. Drums being "last" in the creative process wouldn't be accurate....in some cases it is pretty clear that the time signatures/drum grooves are the foundation of the idea in the first place. The other piece to the quote is also that you can't acutally trust what the band says about a lot of stuff and they are notorious for taking that kind of approach when asked about the music or creative process. I've been following their creative output for literally 30 years now. In the early days interviews were super rare and the few they would give had quotes similar to the above. While I don't agree with a lot of the lyrical content itself, the band is musically briliant. Ironically I find it feels quite emotional despite also tending to be unusually technical (especially for a band that lives in "drop-d" ). For those that don't "get it" try listening to orchestras and the like doing covers of their work. I'd tend to assume radio stations are playing the new stuff (or perhpas something like Sober) it seems fairly unlikley that a Radio Station is going to play one of the tracks most fans are really actually going to be into. Who knows though as I don't listen to the radio.
  5. Yes, the min on the 25 loyalty voucher was 75. So best case you are spending $50 to use it. Wasn't the Class A and HG-2MS both $15 pop recently? By far an all time low.
  6. Guitar player perspective here. the WF Matcha I found to be worthless. Didn't sound like a guitar at all and didn't work with amp sims anywhere close to as expected. One of the only PA plugins I couldn't uninstall fast enough. YMMV. Yes, the SPL plugins are basically the same type of things as the Transient designer but stripped down into a single fuction.
  7. Nembrini (ODS, Faceman, HiVolt, MRH159, DC30, BST100, Cali Reverb, Mrh810) PA (everything other than the Mesa sims, first two ENGLs, rackrock player, SE100) Amplitube 5 (everything other than Mesa 2) Melda (MTurboAmp + MCab) Don't use but have TH-3 Positive Grid (though the pickup "change" option is nice in a pinch) Guitar Rig Audio Assault
  8. Quick search suggests it has an UST (under saddle pickup) So I'd start off with the ones I've suggested (my Taylor 814 has one of those 1990s Fishman Prefix systems in it and I make sure it is only using the UST) On this Acoustic IR site select this box and search: In the Aura drop box site many should be geared towards Fishman systems - I know the Taylor 814 ones were. The worship tutorial ones none of them use the Fishman however you can try the files with "PZ1, PZ2, or PZ3" which were captures with various Piezo pickups most of which are likely UST. The key with all these is start with something that is likely close to the same pickup and then experiment to see which sounds best with your setup.
  9. I'd suggest checking out these free ones: https://worshiptutorials.com/product/acoustic-ir-sample-pack/ http://acousticir.free.fr/spip.php?rubrique2 Fishman Aura IRs https://www.dropbox.com/sh/f2qdh9jtcl6s5cv/AACRlEt-UVeLAhuvV4YwMY7Wa?dl=0 I have a Taylor 814ce with a Fishman Matrix in it. THere are some Martin D28s in the acoustic ir link that make my Talyor actually sound more like a Martin, the Fishmain Aura actually has an 814ce that used my same system so that is pretty spot on (I also own an actual Fishman Aura also). And the worship tutorial with the 816 is pretty good too. It can take some experimenting but the primary factor is using a capture that used the same pickup type you use. You can use any IR loader. I actually bought a FS07 so I could easily do live shows or plug and play into a recording interface. But using something like the Audio Assault IR loader is even better as it allows longer impulse times, better gain and processing controls. But seriously night and day difference between this method and the Nembrini plugin (even using totally free IRs and IR loaders and plugins) for a natural recorded tone.
  10. Superior Drummer 2 to 3 and the limited time deal felt pretty unreasonable to me. Thankfully I have other drum packages. EZ keys is fairly unique though.
  11. Looks modern in a 1998 sort of way.
  12. Long overdue but I also have no interest in their insane upgrade pricing structures.
  13. I don't know who actually recorded that one, but it also interesting that the video has almost 3.5M views and less than 700 subscribed.
  14. I love nembrini amp simps. But honestly I got way better results on acoustic with some IRs that matched my pickup system. I'd say test drive.
  15. I own quite a few united plugin releases and love the licencing model that treats the customer like an actual customer. That said, outside of intro pricing the rates are quite a bit above the competition. About the only time I've got anything outside of intro pricing or a (get with purchase) was one of the bundles where because of what I already had got an amazing discount. Demos of this one are not my style nor does it really sell the plugin if it was. Crispy Tuner at PA is another option, runs on sale for $25 from time to time.
  16. I Grabbed Red first then got Green when they were giving it away. Red is resizable and also has the extra featrues on the bottom (Mono Maker, Stereo, TMT, Headroom, mix, M/S) I'd suggest a quick demo and see what you think. When I use the RED it seems like I always end up with more color out of it than I do with SPL IRON or Green which I tend to make more transparent with. It could just be the way I end up setting them. I paid more than $15. For $15, I'd think it would be worth it for the extras and it does have a different flavor to it also.
  17. Do the current "subscriptions" on PA also have the single seat or double seat license limitations? I assumed it was 3 seats just like you bought them but only good during the period you are paying.
  18. Looks like a terrible deal. Trying to get people on the $75 tier to spend $75 in a month out of pocket? Crazy. And with all the latest and greatest excluded from the $25, those of us that have just about everything they could want have no incentive. I'm betting GP4 and the dearvr are also excluded despite being old enough. Also agree with Stony that this move also kills transfers.
  19. Are they resizable too or will they remain "outdated" despite the VST3 spec?
  20. I agree as it relates to PA. But there have been a number of one time deals that never got better from other companies.
  21. I disagree with that as an absolute statementm, there have been deals never to return....but when it comes to PA, I'd agree that is pretty fitting as rock bottom prices tend to resurface over and over.. I like this EQ, love the layout (CPU hit not so much and the top end can get a bit harsh depending on what you are doing with it). One of my go-tos though. That said, it has also been available for less than $30 more than once assuming universal voucher codes and the like. In fact it was $25 about 15 days ago, with no loyalty vouchers requried.
  22. Having this one first would have saved me buying all the other PA Strips, or at least for basically everything other than just the fun of experimenting. I do wish you could set the GUI default for every time you add a new instance to the track, and if they offered switchable "pre-amp" saturation options this thing would be a monster.
  23. Honestly this is my most used PA "effect" plugin. Not sure your workflow, but if you like channel strips as part of it, this is the most feature rich and usable one I've found. Sure I augment it with other eqs/comps/etc sometimes. But it is low on CPU usage and the more stuff you can accomplish in it, frees up resources for adding other things. I always say each of the other strips feel more compromised in some way. From unusable compressors, to questionable EQs, terrible layouts, etc. It can't do everything - but the knobs / workflow is among the best on the market, and the sound quality is quite good. One of the only plugins I don't regret paying a little bit more for.
  24. See from the end user perspective, that I what I'd consider running someone off - especially as the reigning king and all.
  25. And yet we have at least 50 people around here and still the number of deal posts are lacking. It is crazy. I even had to post a not a deal here for the PA related PSA. I don't know who ran him off, but sad that kind of thing takes place.
