I think I may be about ready to pull the trigger on Minimonsta 2. But not because it is a "better" authentic reproduction of the original Minimoog. But because it sounds great as a new synth! Gforce did a great job with version 2. It seems to be an "extended" version of the Minimoog, that offers many features that the original did not have. When I originally compared the Minimonsta v1 against the other leading Mini replicas, I settled on Cherry Audio MIniverse, because for the cost it was a very good emulation of the original, that added polyphony, as well as a fully scalable UI. I also have the Arturia Mini V, which seems to be far behind most other Mini emulations, especially regarding the filter. I tried replicating Cherry Audio Miniverse presets with the Minimonsta v2, and they all sounded very similar. But the "extended" factory sounds in Minimonsta v2 are beyond the original. Good stuff!

I don't have the Ample guitar, but I have a couple of Ample basses. They have a "riffer" module with factory riffs, and that can play tabs or import MIDI, and export tabs and riffs MIDI via drag and drop to a DAW track. I have never observed the Ample basses being off-beat, but this post inspired me to investigate... I listened to a few Ample riffs with my CbB metronome switched on for playback and things seemed to be in sync. In the video example provided in the OP, the delay compensation is related to the ADSR envelope of the sample being played by the Ample instrument. I looked through my Ample bass presets and noticed that they had variable sample delays (case by case) that seemed to average about 35 ms. Some presets had none, so if you are going to delay the DAW track by a fixed amount, you may need to check if any delay is already present in the Ample preset. The MIDI dragged into the DAW track would be independent of any envelope settings in the instrument itself, as it would just be a timing issue if the instrument was playing the "attack" for the sample early or late.

Did you try to reproduce it on another computer?

Likely the same or similar samples, just packaged in a different sampler file format for Kontakt. If I'm not mistaken, that appears to be a shot of the piano roll from FL Studio. I tried a demo of that DAW a few years ago, and I must say it has one of the best PRV's I've seen anywhere. Good example! But sadly, that was the only appealing thing about FL for me...

I'm sure that Cherry Audio leverages the common DSP code that they have already created, as it applies to solve a needed function (as do all developers). But Dan Goldstein, their lead developer based in Las Vegas, also owns the largest hardware synth collection in Nevada. The team is able to study and compare each synth's operation in detail as they attempt to emulate it. They painstakingly attempt to model the functions of the real deal, as much as possible. I think that they are improving their process with each iteration as they learn what works best. I don't buy that Cherry Audio is just repackaging the same modules with a different GUI. That is just an unfounded claim that some internet critics use to justify the opinion that there's otherwise no way that Cherry Audio could release so many synth emulations in such a short time frame.
