  1. I think this was an example under their Bundle Maker promotion https://8dio.com/2020/03/25/custom-bundle-maker/ i.e. each is ~$500, and purchases over $999 with the code CREA50 gets a 50% discount. (50% is for >= $999; there are other tiers each with their own discount codes)
  2. Don't forget though that you get a 'discount' when you start buying the larger packs of Gear Credits: 150 GC for 134.99 Euros, up to 1500 GC for 749.99 Euros (even more if you factor in Jam Points). You can then get the sounds you need through the Custom Shop. (Beware though that buying all the parts of a MAX library doesn't give you the same status as having a MAX product, from the point of view of upgrade schemes)
  3. If you can't disable it at BIOS level, you could always disable it in Device Manager in Windows.
  4. I've not heard about this before. Just out of interest, where did you learn about this?
  5. For some reason, I'm thinking two years, but I could be wrong. In any case if you have some about to expire, you could always buy some Gear Credits: don't think they expire.
  6. Maybe in the registry, maybe in a temp/config file somewhere. Here's a thought though: if your install-tracker tracks absolutely every change made to your computer and undoing them still doesn't work, maybe it's not the installer that sets the flag. It might be the program itself that does it on first run, basing the start-date on when it was installed.
  7. It's probably because it's a relatively old plugin, written and marketed long before what's happening now; I can see how it could be interpreted as being insensitive though.
  8. Just a note: it appears from the forum on that site that this is a 'lite' version
  9. I quite like their Ethera series, and also their Designers (Impact/Whoosh/Rise)
  10. For basic raw MIDI mapping, this might be useful: https://www.codefn42.com/notemapper/index.html
  11. I've got some iZotope stuff too an love it. I was referring to how I can use the product portal to activate e.g. Ozone to my machine (without iLok), and that now Exponential Audio is part of the iZotope family, hopefully they would integrate it into the product portal so that I wouldn't need an iLok for e.g. Pheonix.
  12. If you're after pay-as-you-go, there's always Splice, and PA: great plugins on those platforms.
  13. From the looks of it, their servers are overwhelmed; this is what I get when trying to log in
  14. From the Square Enix website: We’re warmed by stories of communities banding together to support those in need during uncertain times, and by honoring directives intended to protect the most vulnerable among us. Gamers are part of a global community. We regularly rally together online to return balance to fantasy kingdoms, recruit crew to save the universe from sci-fi threats, and indulge in healthy competition through high-octane action games. For others, shifting to both online work and play is unfamiliar territory. With this in mind, we’re offering a gift to our community. Starting right now through Monday, March 23 at 11:59PM PDT, we’re releasing both Tomb Raider (2013) and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris for free on Steam. https://square-enix-games.com/en_GB/news/stay-home-play-friends-family
  15. Don't forget the risk of other non-Covid related scheduled hospital treatments/operations being deferred; and the risk of doctors/nurses getting sick, exacerbating the situation
  16. If Thunderbirds really are GO, that explains the number of toilet rolls...
  17. I usually skip on pianos: I have Pianoteq, which I find caters for my piano needs. It's a good cause though.
  18. I suspect the news did this because they want to reach as wide an audience as possible; there are probably some people who might not understand that explanation.

    Overloud Gem EQ495

I love Overloud's GEMs; the only one I'm missing is the tapped delay
  21. Funny how many people (not pointing any fingers at anyone) dismiss these 'small' numbers; if this number was the work an evil doer on the run, I get the feeling the general reaction would be quite different. Also, people seem to be more receptive when a natural disaster (e.g. earthquake/tsunami/hurricane) affects this many people.
  22. Studio One refuses to detect/run any VST3s that aren't in the 'proper' default location, but it's fine if you do the symlink thing (which is what I do)
