  1. Is it possible this clip has Region FX on it ? Try selecting the clip, then using "Bounce to clips". Then try your fade. You can also use Automation if you cant figure out why a normal fade wont apply.
  2. You can press CNTRL+D to expand the size of the multidock. You can also use the Inspector for most track/clip related features. Im just not sure what your request will resolve. Hope the info I have left is helpful.
  3. Not worth arguing about. I'd rather see you solve your problem instead. Good luck
  4. Actually you did not...what you said was... And... Doesn't sound anything like you saying "Its NOT working". It sounds like your asking for a way to accomplish it. There's a difference.
  5. Thanks for the heads up. I merged his other thread with this one to avoid confusion.
  6. Hmm, im very surprised that you are not seeing drop out codes if you are running the latest Cakewalk by Bandlab. Though I hate recommending this, when exhausting all avenues, you could always contact support. Im just not sure we have exhausted all avenues yet. There is some more info here as well on drop outs http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=AudioPerformance.24.html Whats it like on new projects, or projects created a few weeks ago (rather than this remix from a while ago) We need to pinpoint weather it be, project specific or finding some similarity's across multiple projects. This would help with the problem solving.
  7. Map to what your keyboard ? Start/stop is the spacebar. I cant remember off hand if you can un-bind that shortcut but if you could it would be done in preferences. Using- Edit > Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts.
  8. Are you getting a drop out code ? This should be pretty easy to figure out now with the new Improved audio dropout diagnosis. Here a list of the codes... http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=NewFeatures.10.html
  9. It could be your anti virus, a virus itself or possibly even a software you installed that is protecting files. The last time l remember reading about this was a year or so ago on the old forums Here.
  10. Maybe im misunderstanding exactly what you want but wont Offset mode already do this ?

    Zoom R16 Issue

Do you possibly have the r16 in Card Reader mode and not Interface mode ?
  12. - Can you post a screenshot of the error ? Try this https://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/2016000033/Unable-to-register-the-DLL-OCX-RegSvr32-failed-with-exit-code-0x3
  13. This is the post I was referring to Another test would be to start with a new project/not a template and cross reference results.
  14. I remember @Lynn mentioning something similar a few weeks ago. It turned out it was minimized out of monitor view (something along those lines). I would first try Views> Console view to open it up. Theoretically it should work because PRV opens in the dock, only other clue would be you have CV docked in a separate tab dragged to a different monitor and its minimized. Try restoring any windows zoom preferences/ease of access and possibly it will show the tabs (Close/Restore/Minimize).
  15. That great @RobertWS Sorry for any confusion in my previous post. I thought you were referencing track view grid lines. Seems to be a common issue with me now, not understanding people comments as well as I once did. I'm slipping with age my friend.
  16. I might be a little confused as to what you want here. But it appears you want to leave the referenced files where they are to lighten up on the size of the Audio folder, thus not using the same files from 2 locations. Doing a "save as", saves the project and all the audio files currently being used in it. This will allow you to delete the old version you have saved and start over by changing your preferences. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR X3&language=3&help=FileManagement.7.html To change handling of imported files Use the following procedure to allow or disallow file sharing between projects: 1. Go to Edit > Preferences > File - Audio Data. 2. Check the Always Copy Imported Audio Files option to create copies of all imported audio clips as a default. Or Uncheck the Always Copy Imported Audio Files option to reference imported audio from its current location. I will caution you on this though, as now that per project folders are the new default, storing these projects and opening them in years from now will be a complete mess. Always at all cost, try to store all audio files with the project in the working folder with the CWP/audio files. This way in 5 years from now, you wont be getting "missing audio files" when trying to load your project.
  17. Does this happen even if "follow snap settings" are enabled in PRV settings ?
  18. First of all, I confused V Vocal with Vocal synch, so my apology's if there was any confusion on my comments. I thought you were referring to Vocal synch. So those 2 are indeed different and possibly have different consequences when rendering. I hate to offer the suggestion to try and use Melodyne as an alternative because I never like to tell someone to try another software, plug in to accomplish a task but Melodyne is a more powerful tool with greater strengths and more responsive than V vocal ever was. It wouldn't surprise me however, if there were some unpredictable behaviors using V vocal in Cakewalk by Bandlab as V vocal is long in the tooth without updates to keep it user friendly in newer versions of Cakewalk and possibly Windows versions.
  19. You are rendering these clips first how ? You can also use the Bounce to clips function
  20. The past couple updates or so, I have noticed the hit zone for deleting markers is becoming problematic. Im hoping this gets solved in a future update. Possibly a feature update for a second timeline that could be added by choice/or not. the Timeline has become too busy with the loop, punch in, selection markers. the old way of deleting markers using the Delete key is just not what it was.
  21. Just close the project, reopen it and Save the project under a new name using the "Save as" function. Check the new folder. If your happy, delete the old one.
  22. Yeah, all region FX (Melodyne, V Vocal, drum Replacer) Need to be rendered before any kind of split actions can be done. Region FX clip restrictions The following editing functions are disabled for Region FX clips: Clip automation. Copy/paste for a time selection that contains a Region FX. Split clip. Slip-stretch clip when the Follow Host Tempo option is enabled. Groove Clip looping. AudioSnap
  23. - Select the tracks you want "All" to be. - Hold CNTRL key down and change the output. Its called "Quick grouping". can be used for other things as well, like Solo, Mute, exc.
