  1. This video is a prime example of why I groan when i see responses to inquiries about autotune with "learn to sing". Autotune will not make a bad singer sing well and "singing well" is definitely more than the technical sum of proper pitch. It's an overused effect in pop music but audiences will eventually decide they had enough.
  2. This information often evolves too. Plugins I would have recommended previously may have been replaced.
  3. Just saw this. I missed the useful information from this forum
  4. For those who derive pleasure from beating up on noobies who don't fit your personal definition of the proper way to obtain information, get over yourself. The search feature is great , but can often lead to tons of useless information as well when it comes to broad topics. Searching may or may not yield relevant responses, but asking directly will have a better chance of weeding out irrelevant information aside from the people who think berating people is somehow edgy. The OP managed to obtain some good leads. To the OP, one of the struggles when starting is wading through the humongous glut of options. Most of us use only some of the many vsts we own. A few things that help me decide are watching or well written reviews that really show me the practical use beyond marketing pitch. Some of the best vsts may be absolutely useless to you depending on your needs.
  5. [Tina turner voice] 🎵What's neeed gotta do with it. Whaaaat's neeeed but denial of your gaaaaaas..[/Tina]
  6. I think the issue i have with copyright laws is it allows people who never even knew the artist to sponge off of legacies in ways that are questionable. I just saw that the trendy brand Supreme is selling hideous "Love Supreme" clothing with Coltrane's image. I can't say for sure John would have said no, but the fact that there is no way to even guess makes this questionable as to whether simply sharing DNA 60 years later is any more valid than public domain.
  7. I find with these type of plugins that the best chance of finding a useful demo is stumbling across a consumer who went past their generic EDM demos. WA has interesting ideas, so-so implementation, and absolutely poor documentation. I have instascale and instachord and neither is used. What little use i found for them was after watching a decent youtuber who figured out things never documented by WA. I am somewhat intruiged but cautious
  8. Is it a "compresor" or "composer"? The image in link says two different things
  9. This! When I was trying the demos, the Modo seemed to provide better overall options, buy I liked the composition features of ezbass. When I tried to play parts generated in ezbass in modobass the differences in articulation made that a lot less attractive. They really should include at least three bass types
  10. It struggles with inverted chords, but for the price more than worth it.
  11. I am a big fan of scaler because of its ability to work well with other adjacent programs like remidi.
  12. I have been on fence about buying ezbass . if this was included, it might make ,me lean towards it
  13. Describing their plugin is a challenge because even their descriptions are cryptic. The three plugins in the bundle are: Mishby- It's a kinda distortion glitch, nightmare something with equal parts satan and Unicorn tape saturation Dumpster Fire is what imagine Chthulu's farts sound like Backmask is a reverser but with extra ffjdsfgdsuyiuydsui These are certainly nothing anyone needs except for those who need them! Great for sound designers. here is ADSR's description: Freakshow Nightmare Effects Bundle Freakshow Industries is opening the portals to another dimension with this disgusting bundle. Cult hysteria, demonic entities, just gross stuff. If you can stomach the GUI's, you'll find some nasty effects to make your Halloween Sounds terrifying. https://www.adsrsounds.com/product/software/freakshow-industries-freakshow-nightmare-bundle/ In one of the weirdest marketing schemes, they offer the option to steal and will give you a license for free after letting you know you are a horrible human being.
  14. Weird twist to this thread. All the drama aside, the more i look at this, the more it sounds like a product for people who don't actually make hip-hop and have not listened to it in the last 40 years. Might be good for very retro hip-hop from mid 80s
  15. I say that because every demo I have heard sounds like the awful "hip-hop" presets that are clearly made by someone who doesn't make hip-hop so i was hoping someone would take it or a spin that didn't sound like borderline mockery
  16. Never tried it. Always have been skeptical of instruments with genre in name or attempts to sound "urban". With that said, I have seen a few of these turn out to be decent. Let us know how it performs
  17. Has anyone done a comparison to bertom? I have found that to be useful
  18. Agreed. I passed up deals on it a few times and then finally used demo and was very impressed
  19. I was skeptical but this is an amazing plugin. It works with any midi file. You can make your own midi files, open them up and chop up your own arrangements like samples, creating interesting takes on your own compositions. Using it with scaler is amazing since you can transpose your rearrangement on the fly to any key or inversion variation on the fly.
  20. I can't draw worth ___ ! 😂😂 My EQ will curve will look like sonic Parkinson's.
  21. Ok..what the @$! does this eq do that is different than my other 50 eqs?
