Nice job Wookiee - that was a very pleasant listen - the mix sounded fine through my headphones - nicely done.
  2. Nice job on the collab guys - I liked the groove of the song - interesting composition. Also, cool bass line in this one.
  3. Hey guys - thanks for listening and commenting.
  4. Hi David - I thought the crash may be a bit too loud - thanks for listening.
  5. Thanks Jack - I'll give the bass another listen.
  6. Hi Bjorn - I only know how to play - not sure if I would be a good teacher😄 Thanks for giving my song a listen and I"m glad you liked it.
  7. Ozzy - that's cool - thanks for giving my song a listen.
  8. Hi Nigel - thanks for listening.
  9. Thanks for the comments - I appreciate it.
  10. I liked this one Freddy - especially your vocal - I liked the fx you used on it. This one had a bit of a country vibe to it - to my ears anyway. The subject matter is quite interesting as well - those storms you guys deal with year after year is something else - nice job on the lyrics. The mix sounded fine through my headphones - well done.
  11. That was cool David - I enjoyed the listen. I especially liked the flute - it gave a 60s sort of vibe to it. Nicely done.

I enjoyed the video and the music that accompanied it - they fit together quite well. It was, as Jesse said, meditative and relaxing. The mix sounded quite good through my headphones.

You make some interesting music - quite unique, and this is no exception. My only crit - why the dropouts? I saw that there were 5 of them.
  14. You mentioned in another post that you used Jamstix - it sounds like it's quite the creative tool for you - you come up with some interesting drum tracks. I thought this was a cool jam - I enjoyed the listen.

I liked the synths on the intro - that was cool. This definitely has an 80s vibe, which makes sense since you mentioned you were going for a Bowie type of feel. That was a fun listen - nicely done.
  16. I think this is an impressive composition - I think it would work quite well for a fireworks show - I could picture fireworks while I listened. I really liked the percussion track you used for this - as you say epic. The mix sounded fine through my Sony 7506 headphones - nicely done.

Hi Forum Folks, This is a new track for the album I'm currently working on called "The Westerly Sessions Volume VIII". On this tune I sang the lead and backing vocals with a Sennheiser MK4 mic through a Warm Audio ToneBeast preamp. The acoustic guitar is a Guild OM-140 through a Studio Projects B1 mic through an ART MPA Gold preamp. The lead guitar is a Fender Strat using TH-U. I used the Waves Abbey Road Plates on the lead vocal. I used Overloud's REMatrix and Breverb on everything else. As always, any comments and critiques are welcome, and thanks for listening. 18. Very cool Nigel - this one to me had an alternative rock vibe to it. I like the variety of the songs you have posted for this album - from what I've heard it sounds like a winner to me. Through my headphones the mix sounded quite good - well done.
  19. Nicely done Barry - I liked the grit you added to your vocal - it fit the mood of the song. That slide lead guitar solo was really cool. I agree with the above concerning the bass - I couldn't really hear it all that well through my Sony 7506 headphones.
  20. Glad you liked it - thanks for listening.
  21. Thanks Tom - I"ll give the bass another listen and see what I can do.
  22. Thanks for listening Freddy - I appreciate it.
  23. Thanks for listening Allan - perhaps I'll add some harmonies like you suggested.
  24. Nicely done - there was some fine guitar playing on this track. I liked the sax as well.
  25. Nice job John - I thought it was a cool song. Your vocal on this reminded me a bit of Gary Portnoy - the guy who sang the Cheers theme song. I thought the bass line was quite good. I thought the mix sounded pretty good to my ears through my Sony 7506 headphones.
