did anyone ever spread jam on their LP's before playing them

Not exactly jam but back in 1979 by accident my "shiny off-the-press" LP of Regatta de Blanc ended up full of sugar

I thought it was ruined but my father put it under the faucet and cleaned the sugar with running water then told me to let it dry. It felt a very unorthodox way for handling an LP and initially I was skeptical but he was right, it played without no issues afterwards.

Anyone remember zip disks and/or jazz drives?

I sure do...I had BOTH...LOL - and just about every other Mass Storage device
at one time or another...

Anyone remember when they were talking about the 3D Storage in Glass Cubes?
They were 1" x 1" Glass Cubes that stored like a million floppy disks!  Those obviously
never materialized (Yet - or that we know of)

I once heard of a band who got  Brown Sugar on their album and ended up with Sticky Fingers.
