  1. Can you create new clips of the offending transients? I am guessing that would also be time consuming. Kind regards, tecknot
  2. Hi Ronald and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. I would reference the product manual on this one. My USB controller has two (virtual) MIDI inputs and three outputs each serving a different purpose. Kind regards, tecknot
  3. Hi Dean and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. I would also suggest that you check that the sample rate and bit depth in Cakewalk [Edit | Preferences | Driver Settings] matches your sound cards sample rate and bit depth. This can also cause noisy playback. Kind regards, tecknot
  4. Hi Jana, In order to make your DAW more reliable you will need to get a better sound card such as a Focusrite, Presonus, M-Audio, etc. Kind regards, tecknot

    MIDI TO AUDIO

Hi Michael, You can simply Export your project to audio in various formats. All you need to know is here: http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Mixing.52.html Kind regards, tecknot
  6. Hi Sonarman, You only have to move the Now Time marker to the desired location (or SMPTE time) and then press the M key on your PC keyboard. That will bring up the Marker properties dialog where you can enter the Marker's name, then click on "Lock to SMPTE..." and also set the exact time where the Marker will be placed. Kind regards, tecknot
  7. Hi Sonarman, If you set a Marker at the beginning of the desired Bar, then you can use the goto Previous Marker button on the Tool Bar. The key command is Ctrl+Shift+PgUp, although I believe you can change this to whatever key is available. Kind regards, tecknot
  8. Hi Koyaanis and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. Are you playing your MIDI through a VSTi soft synth? Is Input Echo on? Are you using a single MIDI track, MIDI and Audio track or an Instrument track? Is the output set to your Master Bus? And, is your Master Bus output set to your ASIO output? As long as your speakers are connected to the front outputs on your PC, your settings look correct (although, it appears you're not using the latest version of Cakewalk). Kind regards, tecknot
  9. Nice and clean, good job Matthew. Kind regards, tecknot
  10. After you have made your selection, hold down the Shift key and click exactly on a note in the selection and drag your selection. You will see your pointer turns into the move tool. Hold down the Shift key is for moving a selection of notes as desired in the OP. Without the Shift key, you can only move a single note where I am. Kind regards, tecknot
  11. It works for me. I can move notes in the Staff View just as I described above. See my updated response regarding a selection (using the Shift key). Kind regards, tecknot
  12. Do not use the move tool. Use the select tool by clicking and dragging. You will see the pointer turns into the move tool as you are dragging. To move a selection of notes, hold down the Shift key when clicking and dragging. Let us know if that works for you. Kind regards, tecknot
  13. My guess is that either you have your project set with a Workplace that does not include the Synth Rack or you saved your project with a Screenset that does not include the Synth Rack. In that case, I would suggest that you save a screenset with the Synth Rack open before saving your project. Kind regards, tecknot
  14. Hi Mark and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. It sounds like you are using an internal sound card, e.g. soundblaster. Unfortnuately, internal sound cards at this level (meaning quality) do not work well when working with CbB (Cakewalk by BandLab). Please let us know more about your system (DAW) setup. For instance, are you using a desktop or laptop, what type of sound card/audio interface are you using, what driver mode are you using, how is your headset connected to your PC. Kind regards, tecknot
  15. Check to see if your clips are linked. Kind regards, tecknot
  16. The only other things I can think of is that perhaps the output from your instrument/soft synth is not directed to an output (or a muted output) or input echo is turned off. Kind regards, tecknot
  17. Could it be that your MIDI notes are out of range of Xpand!? Kind regards, tecknot
  18. Hi Logan and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. Tell us, are you using an internal or external sound card? If you are using an external sound card, I would check in Windows as to which one is set as the default device the internal or external card. Kind regards, tecknot
  19. Just one thing to check when it comes to crackles and pops, does the sample rate and bit depth match between CbB and your Saffire? If so, just ignore my question (apologies). Kind regards, tecknot
  20. After you checked all the necessary boxes (driver mode, output driver, playback timing master, etc.) make sure that your Master Bus has its output set to your audio output device. Kind regards, tecknot
  21. There is a simple way to save the MIDI from a track. Just as scook suggested dragging it to the desktop, you could do the same to the USB flash drive. (If the MIDI is separate clips, select the track and Bounce to Clip(s) so that all the MIDI is consolidated.) Using the Media Browser, navigate to your flash drive and simply drag and drop the MIDI from the track in/onto the flash drive. Kind regards, tecknot
