  1. Thanks for the comment! I checked that setting of that project and it wasn't enabled. I saved the instrument as a track template and the pattern of the step sequencer and loaded them in a new project and I could get the same bug. Ill try to record it and maybe I can send the project file or the pattern file.
  2. Let me add one more band here. Again it's not a new nor pop rock and it's a punk rock from 90s but this band had been so influencial that every high school band was playing their songs. Maybe that was a bit of exaggeration, but without a doubt, they are one of the most recognized indie bands by Japanese music fans in my generation and older. (I don't know about younger people) The band is called Hi-Standard. Their music styles are quite similar to NOFX, MxPx, and other punk bands. So some of you guys could recognize it. Hi-Standard was active under their own label called Pizza of Death Records, which apparently was a record label inside Fat Wreck Chords, which was started by the singer of NOFX, which I didn't know until now. Enough talk, here is their song. Hope you guys enjoy these.
  3. The bands I'm gonna talk about are not Pop Rock and relatively minor bands in Japan but amongst relatively new bands, Coldrain, Survive Said the Prophet, and SiM are somewhat recognized outside of Japan maybe? I think these bands are somewhat similar to ONE OK ROCK. I actually don't listen to them but Coldrain would be my pick if I needed to pick one from those. I liked Pay Money To My Pain, which isn't active anymore but they had heavy sound. The vocalist of OOR joined their album after the demise of the original vocalist of the band... You know on Spotify they show you similar bands, and those bands often show up together. One of my favorite songs by Pay Money To My Pain. For the last few years, I did't really listen to any newly released songs by Japanese bands until that pop punk band released new songs. This year I listened to a band called 175R this year, which no body really talks about apparently. when I was a teenager I had a lot of favorites Japanese bands, 175R was also on my play list back then, but they have a best album with newly recorded their old song and quality was just satisfactory. So, I do not know much about trendy bands and stuff, but I loved early 2000s bands. Have you guys heard of The Mad Capsule Markets? They were recognized outside of Japan due to their unique musical style, I think. The band also is no longer active. But they deserve to be shared, I believe. Ugh, I could talk endlessly... 😅
  4. I am from Japan and have a lot of weeb friends and One Ok Rock is quite well known amongst them I thought. I am not a fan of ONE OK ROCK nor like their songs but they resurrected my favorite Japanese band which had been on long haiatus. Also their favorite bands are my favorite bands too (mostly American bands though) If I remember correctly, one of their albums was mixed by a very famous American (I think) mixing engineer who usually mix ITB and had mixed for top artists, such as Katy Perry. They must have had the greatest production imaginable. No wonder the sound quality was quite good and modern unlike other Japanese bands back then. My favorite Japanese punk band which they made reunited, had their latest album recorded at Sunset Sound in California. I am just sharing this because I am their fan...
  5. I captured a video (gif) http://g.recordit.co/KoKaBtdrmQ.gif I don't know when this exactly happen but when I try to draw NRPN, the position of the value shifts. If I restart the program, it works fine again (but again this occurs if I do something) I tried to reproduce this but I couldn't so far. I don't know why this happens.

    Nectar 3 Plus

This is crazily cheap but I have nectar 3 already. Not nectar 3 plus. I am not sure if I should get this. Maybe in the future, they will be releasing nectar 4, ozone 12, neutron 8 or whatever and selling them as a bundle and I will be eventually buying it....
  7. That is so weird now. I am also not in the US either (East Aisa) And even though I could buy the comp and eq for $0 and received the serial numbers, I couldn't activate the plugin with these serials... 🙃
  8. I checked this page where all the plugins are listed https://www.bozdigitallabs.com/plugins/ and found EQ and Comp were listed as $0 while the bundle was $10 like the screen shot below. Maybe the website thinks I have only one EQ, and only Comp and not the bundle, hence the upgrade to Comp is free and upgrade to EQ is also free but for the bundle, it works as if I only have one plugin hence $10 from EQ "or" Comp
  9. Except me 🥲 I have +10 db EQ, Comp, the Strip, and also Hoser, Hoser XT. I bought them as a bundle sold at JRR a year ago. I don't have any other paid products by them.
  10. $49.00 (Reg. $149.00) I have V1 and upgrade prices was $10 for me after login. I am not sure they offer Prochannel version for this. I installed demo but there was no Prochannel version. Product page: https://www.bozdigitallabs.com/product/10db-bundle-v2/ Edit: The upgrade price is probably free when you check them on this page: https://www.bozdigitallabs.com/plugins/
  11. This is probably the best price I have ever seen for this plugin. And this is not only 2A emulation but also 3A. So it's like buying 2 plugins and each is like $14 or less. It's a great deal. I like cakewalk LA2A, and I wonder who made this plugin. Perhaps by Overloud? Anyway, other than that, I didn't think, just bought.
  12. I use other DAW where i can make aux quickly and I want a shortcut for this in cakewalk. Selecting Tracks> Ctrl+ g This creates a new aux track and each selected track has their output set to the aux track. Can we have something like this?
  13. I wonder if it's technically possible to make windows 98 look morden by customizing icons and all. For me, I was playing computer games with win98 back then. There were a lot of Japanese games. And I remember the music of these games were different depending on the computer. I still don't know exactly how and why. I was always enjoying these sounds.
  14. I saw that video many years ago and thought it was a fantastic feature I should use and then I opened the DAW and tried it to see how it works. Amazing. Since then, I never actually used that and even forgot the shortcut. There are many other features that I thought cool but forgot.
  15. It looks like the one with Kirchhoff EQ in as there is no value except the set frequency. The difference was clear for me on my test. Some people simply can't hear the subtitle quality differences but I tested it on master buss so the audio signal is way more complicated than a pure sine wave. Then then I put a limiter plugin after that because it was already inserted there in the project. In this case, cakewalk LP EQ has more noise fed to the limiter, and the noise was also amplified with non linear process which essentially produces more distortion. So, in such situation, you also could here or feel the difference.
  16. I actually have never thought about using Cakewalk LP EQ so I was curious abut that. So I just tested it against Kirchhoff EQ now. It was very clear that Kirchhoff sounded much cleaner and more transparent. As it was a quick test so I don't mean that Kirchhoff sounds "better" but it was simply very different in the sounds of two. I did a further test using sine wave generated by a plugin called Sine by Blue Lab Audio, which I found very pure.. As you can see below, there is something added with Cakewalk LP EQ, while with kirchhoff there is nothing like noise nor any artifacts within measurable scale. As there is no added noise in high frequency range with Cakewalk LP EQ when boosting lower area, the noise is maybe not a truncation noise, and I don't know what this is. So, Cakewalk LP EQ and Kirchhoff EQ aren't similar in terms of the sound quality.
  17. You could lower all the track faders to maybe -10db as a starting point before starting the mixing. One reason of doing gain staging is that, usually plugins sound best at RMS -18db level. If it's louder, the plugin may have more noise, distortion or other artifacts. Some analog emulation can emulate the analog behavior so if you crank up the input, the sound could have nice saturation even if that could exceed 0dbfs peak level. But most of plugins would sound horrible if the input level is too high. RMS level is average level of certain amount of time while peak level is just the highest value of the waveform. RMS is more like perceived loudness. I usually put VU meter plugin before any plugins and set the level to 0VU by using gain plugin or whatever that can control the level. 0VU usually mean -18 RMS. For not percussive Instruments, I set it to 0VU and for percussive Instruments such as snare, I set peak level at -10db because if I aim at 0VM it could actually go above 0dbfs. So it'd be like either -18db RMS or -10db(peak) before any plugins
  18. EQ > Reverb > Comp > Comp > EQ > Reverb (Send) and for that aux track Reverb(Send)> EQ > Comp > Comp (Sidechain Ducking) I guess
  19. I already have Kirchhoff EQ. I bought it on their Chinese webshop with my friend's help as it had better deal than English website + intro deal. I thought I was smart. But if you guys can get it for $30, you guys are clearly the winners. As it's PA, we don't know what would happen in the future though. Perhaps it can get even cheaper than $30...who knows.
  20. Kirchhoff EQ is going to be a part of PA mega bundle apparently. I don't have any other sources but perhaps you could buy it a lot cheaper as it's PA... https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/blog/blogpost/items/kirchhoff-eq-beta-available-to-mega-xxl.html
  21. I know nothing about this particular plugin but Coffee The PUn by Acustica Audio is said to be a portion of the Chandler Limited Germanium Tone Control. And it's a freebie and it's an EQ but maybe perhaps it has similar color or mojo. I tried it recently and it was great.
  22. This Voxengo EQ has only 3 nobs. If you are looking for simple EQ like this, check BasiQ. It's also free. https://www.kuassa.com/products/basiq/ I use this often and the sound is very clean and it's actually versatile as it's baxandall EQ. I haven't tested this Voxengo one but I think this one can be an great alternative for BasiQ for quick EQ.
  23. The coupon can be used for other plugins as well, as long as you put the EQ and plugins you want.
  24. One day I was thinking about getting 1176 emulator or FET compressor. So I was checking YouTube comparison videos and I found PSP FET compressor sounded great and thought it's fairly clean and probably one of the best. Then after demoing it, I felt it's actually indeed a good compressor so I bought that. But after a while, I felt maybe real hardware has more color, rather than being clean, so I thought I should get another 1176 emu. And I thought the purple comp from PA was probably one of the best so I got that. Now, this forum is saying softube FET comp is having a deal and it comes with pro channel version. I usually don't use pro channels but pro channel is cool. Now I want this one... Maybe I will be using pro channel and making actual music. Yeah definitely I will.
  25. Yeah, drop clutch, 2nd hihat, foot pedal that triggers snare or other sound, or 2 drummers, or the Dualist pedal. 😂 Dang, I like Djent. First time I listened to Periphery's first album, I felt it's like a machine and it's programmed by non drummer, and then recorded by a drummer. From second album, the drum part became much more natural. I liked both styles, but I liked that digital, machine-precision drum, too. Before knowing Djent, I would have said that that level of complicated bass drum pattern is unrealistic and not playable. But now, I would say anything is possible. Guitar is more difficult to guess for me like is this chord playable? Is switching chords from this to that possible? Or is this arpeggio possible? (Okay let's try to think they use special tuning 😂) The exact song I was taking about is this, it's a game sound track and I think game music used to have a lot of humanly impossible to play kind of parts. This one is more realistic and the drum part is most probably playable than any old game music.
