  1. Looks like everything here is on sale now. The bundle is only $202. https://www.skyboxaudio.com/
  2. You can get a glimpse of what's in Jazz & Funk here: https://reverb.com/item/38175316-fxpansion-bfd-jazz-and-funk-collection-expansion-pack-for-fxpansion-s-bfd I also found Jazz & Funk at https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/product/bfd-jazz-and-funk/ but it's the same sale as what's on BFD;s website. I find it so strange that Jazz & Funk and Percussion aren't available at any of the discounters. Finally, if anyone wants a 2nd chance at a Zildjan expansion, JRRShop's reverb store has one for $127. https://reverb.com/item/34744198-fxpansion-bfd-zildjian-dv-2
  3. XO at 50% off is pretty much the lowest it's ever been. Am I wrong?
  4. Taylor Davis violin is mine. I missed the $49 deal. Not gonna miss this one. I'm also drawn to the dulcimer & zither for $49.
  5. I remember when Addictive Trigger came out it was a game changer at that time. But now, isn't this functionality available on many DAWs (in particular Studio One)? I'm wondering if this is worth it anymore.
  6. You talking about this percussion expansion which is on sale? https://www.bestservice.com/bfd_swan_percussion_expansion_pack.html
  7. So, regarding some of Soniccouture's products, including the Broken Wurli. These are very old samples. The review for Broken Wurli is dated Jan 2012. Granted many of their products were updated to the "new" Kontakt format in 2016, but still - gosh, these are old. I've had a few of my music pieces rejected with the comment "please use more updated samples". Is this a concern for anyone else? Hearing comments similar to "some of these new libraries make it really difficult to tell what's real and what's virtual" makes me hesitant to use old libraries like this. Or maybe 2012 vintage libraries aren't considered "old libraries"? I'd appreciate some of your thought on this topic. Should I put this in it's own thread?
  8. Check your custom offers https://www.applied-acoustics.com/portal/offers/. They often give you 50% off the expansion paks on TOP of the 50% sale prices!
  9. The Sabian Digital Vault looks pretty nice ($49 right now). It's on my short list because it includes cymbal brush samples.
  10. What? I use Melodyne all the time. And I use the polyphonic features of Editor/Studio often enough to make that upgrade worthwhile. Apparently your takes are always good enough to be useable. I wish mine were. Or maybe I'm too picky and always find something to "fix". Melodyne has been a life saver to me several times. it is so nice to change an E chord to Em without having to re-record, or for polyphonic audio-midi conversion for sample replacement.
  11. BFD expansions are also on 50% sale now: https://www.bestservice.com/bfd.html http://store.dontcrack.com/?manufacturers_id=178 https://www.audiodeluxe.com/search/site/bfd but not yet at https://www.pluginboutique.com/manufacturers/296-BFD
  12. How about using closed-backed headphones instead? Some have better isolation that others. According to this, Beyerdynamics makes the most neutral, best isolation headphones out there. Swap out the attached velour earpads for the included leatherette pads and get another 3dB of isolation (supposedly at the expense of slightly less comfort).
  13. I'd wait for the group buy if you don't need something NOW.
  14. I haven't had any problems with it. It only took 5sec to re-authorize my products, although I wish I didn't have to do that. Now that already have iLok for other products, that would be simpler.
  15. I'm looking at them boomwhackers. They have lots of really interesting options.
  16. FYI, it's much cheaper to buy the individual Origin paks at 7-% off ($21 each) rather than the bundle at $172.
  17. Shrine is very good. If you use their internal sequencer you'll get the sound of the pre-stroke which adds a lot to the realism, IMHO.
  18. No, they don't. They have their own license manager.
  19. OK, I'll say it. I use post-InMusic B FD3 with several of its expansions and it works just fine in Studio One & Win11. I especially like that it automatically loads up the drum map so I can tell what's what. The ONLY issue is that I have to re-authorize every 3 months, which is just a click of a button (as long as your PC is online).
  20. I should have bought it from https://www.bestservice.com/medieval_phrases_lute__theorbo.html and use/earn BestCoins.
  21. That does work, but you have extra DAC-ADC conversion stages that the loopback method does not have. It's certainly better than nothing, but you do get some degradation using that 1/8" audio jack.
  22. So far, no BF news on the Studio One 6 upgrade. The cheapest I've found is $115 from Thoman, which isn't bad, but it's their standard pricing.
