  1. My favorite compressor. Don't miss this one.
  2. This plugin is awesome! Arguably, the easiest way to shape low end of your mixes. I've always been struggling getting it right, now it's a breeze.
  3. @Blades Thanks, I'll take a look.
  4. How do you know you like it? And why? Right! You must've had some experience using it and got at least a general idea how this EQ is different from others. It can easily take weeks or months. No one's willing to spend this much time on each track. That's why we all need tutorials and howtos on basic to advanced sound processing.
  5. What do you use it for, Zo? To my ears it sounds like a poorly designed or even a damaged circuit.
  6. Three tones: Clean, Crunch and Lead in one preset. Use A, B and C buttons to switch settings. https://www.dropbox.com/s/wfph6kmfvojiruw/SW CleanCrunchLead.vstpreset?dl=0
  7. Normally I record clean signal for further reamping, so in this case my chain is: Guitar->Tube DI-box->AI->DAW. Here's a recent example I quickly put together while demoing S1V (random noodling over some weird chords, so bear with my playing): https://disk.yandex.ru/d/SOLm1GR5ewSxFQ Let me know if you want my preset for E765RT.
  8. ENGL E765 RT is awesome. One of my favorite amp-sims so far.
  9. I'm such user. I rarely buy plugins or virtual instruments nowadays. Heck, even bundled plugins and instruments are often good enough to achieve any sound you can imagine.
  10. Humanizing done right also shifts events' timing a little.
  11. Sounds good! I hope, this new system doesn't imply there is going to be a time period restriction for downloading presets.
  12. It's a well-known bug. If you try to add TTS-1 to a project, already containing some other SoftSynth(s), you'll get a crash.
  13. Here is some DTR info. USB 1.0 = 12 Mb/s ÷ 8 = 1.5 MB/s USB 2.0 = 480 Mb/s ÷ 8 = 60 MB/s USB 3.0 = 5,000 Mb/s ÷ 8 = 625 MB/s USB 3.1 = 10,000 Mb/s ÷ 8 = 1,250 MB/s USB 3.1 Gen1 = 5Gb/s (625MB/s) USB 3.1 Gen2 = 10Gb/s (1,250MB/s) Thunderbolt 1 = 10Gb/s (1,250MB/s) Thunderbolt 2 = 20Gb/s (2,500MB/s) Thunderbolt 3 = 40Gb/s (5,000MB/s) Samsung 970 PRO M.2 NVMe = 21.6Gb/s (2,700MB/s) Samsung 970 EVO M.2 NVMe = 20.0Gb/s (2,500MB/s) Samsung 960 PRO M.2 NVMe = 16.8Gb/s (2,100MB/s) SATA 3.0 = 4.8Gb/s (600MB/s)
  14. 50/50 means it either will or won't. I've no idea. You've asked for chances, so...
  15. Whatever brings more money is surely the right one. Business as usual.
  16. Another licensed take on SLO-100. I recall Paul Reed Smith being thrilled about GTR3 back in the day. He "couldn't tell" the difference. Wonder, if IK's version will keep the label.
  17. It may not work for those who spent less than $149 on Audiffied products.
  18. It's still possible. AFAIC, they are beta testing a new version. I don't remember the activation procedure, but it involves using any USB device as a token. My old USB drive is out of order, so I'm also not able to fully enjoy the guilty pleasure of using their heavenly Vox module. Awaiting for their response on this issue.
  19. Well, it's a no frills tube preamp with just 2:1 amplification ratio, no tone or gain control. It matches the impedance and adds no distortion. Normally, you can hardly tell if there is any difference with it being on or off. But, the difference becomes very audible when you compare guitar signal recorded via AI's HiZ preamp vs TubeColour through line-in or even the same HiZ input. Simply put, it's a vacuum tube based active DI-box.
  20. To my ears, this plugin doesn't surpass ReValver's version and even, somehow, doesn't feel right. Too bad, as I had high hopes when this was announced.
  21. I'm happy with a custom order tube preamp (Trakhmann TubeColour). I don't record guitar or bass without it, because it makes guitar sound so much better regardless of AI preamps. And for reamping I send DI (recorded with the TubeColour) via DBX DI-box to outboard gear (tube amps, preamps, pedals, floor multi-fx). If any of my tube amp is used, I normally connect its output to the AMT PE-15 and send line level signal back straight to my AI, or mic cabs, or both.
