  1. The 1470’s thru to 1700 were especially bad in Europe..... in fact the inquisitions were just murder....
  2. How about James Coburn’s Flint character?
  3. Craig, have you been watching old Robert Palmer videos?
  4. I see you’ve been at it again....
  5. Strummy? Do we need to send the barrister down to get you out of jail..... again? I see they even blocked the drive to you house, m8.....
  6. Strummy and Plummy Pete and the Pitolero? hell of a costume!
  7. We gots those out here in Tejas. You need me to send you some Bill? And do you need some bodies or fertilizer for them plants?
  8. Well, I keep threatening to repatriate me family back to the UK and run for PM. So why not? He’d do a lot better than our future King Harry!
  9. I can’t live without it. Just blows Antares Auto-Tune away. I think I got my first copy through Cakewalk. A long time ago.......
  10. More specifically, Grover 502s. They are locking tuners and are a huge improvement over what comes on them stock (I’ve got several Gibs in my collection). They fit appropriately tight in the tuner holes and prevent string slippage and improve tuning stability. I’m partial to Graphtech nuts (more stable tuning). But to each their own. A Tonepros ABM over the stock tunomatic bridge and tail stop, may be something you want to look at down the line. The stock ones are held in place by string tension. Meaning they fall loose during string changes. The Tonepros are held in place with set screws and the pieces are made from aluminum vs the stock ones which are made from a zinc alloy called zamick. The aluminum Tonepros sound a bit fuller to me than the stock pieces. But that’s just a subjective opinion. Remember, The guy with most toys at the end wins! You’re doing just fine. It looks very nice Ed. I’m sure you’ll enjoy playing it! And the next one, too. 😃
  11. I have to keep the reference manual close by for a couple of weeks when I have to dive back into Finale to do arrangements. How easily things slip as I’ve been getting older. Especially when I step on that banana peel I forgot I accidentally left on the floor........
  12. The guy sounded more like “Aaron Lewis singing a Fuel song.” What I said to the wife.
  13. LUFS is a whole can of worms. Comes down to overall dynamic program volume over time of performance. That’s the short story.
  14. The kid next door learning to play clarinet, then two weeks later the oboe, then two weeks after that the alto sax, then two week after that the trumpet. The kid finally stuck with that and can actually play fairly well now. But man it was painful for a few months. Gotta give that kid some credit for sticking with it.
  15. I can’t get past the headstock. What was Leo thinking? I was looking for one with a CBS Strat headstock and have come to the conclusion that I may have to build one.... I’ve been pretty much a Les Paul or Jackson player. Until three years ago when I broke down and got me a Strat. Now I’ve got three of the things. Even my wife has been questioning my Metalness.
  16. I have had Furman power conditioners in my guitar rig since the 80’s not even realizing they were a SF Bay Area Company back then, nor what the history was.
  17. Having been a young musician in the SF Bay Area, I got to see the likes of Sequential Circuits, Mesa Boogie, Dean Markley, and other companies go from small operations to large foot prints in the Bay. I stumbled across this while looking for some info on some old Furman Audio gear (PEQs and the sort). Made for an interesting read. http://www.furmanhistory.com
