  1. Going to need to install the Platinum core (The top level SONAR Platinum link in the Command Center) to be able to install all the Platinum plug-ins. Unlike X3 and older, there is no advanced install option for Platinum. There are several installers though. To save about 50% of the space used by Platinum (excepting the samples for DP and Rapture Session) skip the tutorial install. Can also skip the SONAR Theme editor; CbB has its own. Include the local documentation if you want a relatively recent pdf and chm file. There is a hack to add the old SONAR chm to CbB but there will be missing pages. All the other legacy plug-ins from X3 and older may be installed with actually installing the DAW EXCEPT V-Vocal. To get V-Vocal requires a minimal installation of the DAW. Here is what that option looks like in X2 Producer The legacy LP plug-ins were dropped from Platinum when the L-Phase plug-ins were added. The easiest way to get these back is an advanced install from X3 or older. It is good idea when installing the actual DAW (in this example X2, Platinum and CbB) they be installed oldest first. While the installers are pretty smart about not overwriting newer files it can happen with unexpected results. Installing in order prevents lost updates. When running SONAR installers advanced option for plug-ins only, order does not matter. In fact, these installs may be deferred until a project is encountered with missing plug-ins.
  2. Response time likely depends on the question and how backed up they are which varies from day to day.
  3. Maybe this is about BandLab (the DAW that runs in Chrome) and not about Cakewalk By BandLab. Won't know until the OP returns.
  4. I believe this is a similar thread
  5. Did the email have any attachments? Email is not possible from the old Cakewalk web page. Could open a ticket directly with https://help.cakewalk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
  6. There are a few things about the AUD.INI. None of which appear to big performance issues but each machine is different. The project and picture cache are on the system drive. Given the machine has multiple drives, it may be better to put these elsewhere. This may already be done with directory junctions. Can't tell from AUD.INI entries. If possible put the picture cache on a non-system drive that does not contain project audio. I use a regular HD for my project audio and needed a little larger DiskBufSize. I double the default to 512. UseMMCSS is set to 0. The default is 1 and the help advises to leave it at 1. Sometimes the help is not accurate but it may be worth testing the default value. FileBitDepth is set to 16. This is not a performance issue but most would recommend projects record bit depth of at least 24. ExtraPluginBufs is set to 0. With 32GB of RAM it can't hurt to give a little extra memory to plug-ins. I changed this to 32. DropoutMsec is set to 250. I increased this on my PC to 750. With the exception of UseMMCSS and FileBitDepth, I cannot recommend my values for any machine but my own. These just stand out as differences from my config.
  7. Did you click on the drop down in the red box shown in the image above?
  8. The 30 day filter used to freak users out when the forum was active. That forum contains many years of posts.
  9. Change the filter at the bottom of the page next to "Show All Posts" from "30 Days" to "from the beginning" Everything is still there. I have asked @Jesse Jost if it is possible to change the default to show all posts. Using Google with "site:forum.cakewalk.com" as part of the search criteria is still the best way to get info from the old forum. To browse the forum, set this filter to "from the beginning."
  10. Likely because the filter at the bottom of the forum defaults to 30 days. I do not believe anything has been removed since it was set to read-only. Maybe there is way to for BandLab to change the default filter.
  11. Agreed. Before messing with the UI, I would rather see 64bit VSTs. Either way, this is not a priority in my mind.
  12. Make sure to install SONAR X2 (if it is not already installed). CbB can use all the plug-ins and content bundled with 64bit X2. It may be necessary to re-install CbB after X2. To make CbB look similar to X2 set the Lens drop down in the upper right of the CbB UI is set to None. This drop down appears when a project is open. The look may also depend on the default template.
  13. CbB will use all the CPUs made available by the OS. One the thing I noticed about the Xeon E5420 is its slow clock speed. This could be an issue. That said, WRT to CbB settings, in preferences: EnableSetThreadIdealProcessor should be True ThreadSchedulingModel should be set to 2 You may try tweaking MixThreadCount. By default, it is set to 0 which makes all cores available to CbB. Sometimes, it is preferable to reserve 1 or 2 for the OS and other tasks.
  14. Check out the new features section in the help http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=NewFeatures.03.html
  15. Do NOT export an mp3 from Cakewalk to use as a source for mastering in Ozone. Make an mp3 from the wav produced by Ozone or export the mp3 directly out of Ozone.
  16. Anything that generates MIDI data may be used to modulate practically anything in Cakewalk. There are several VSTs that do this now. The routing would involve a virtual MIDI cable and Remote Control or ACT.
  17. should be fixed in 2019.01 build 27 released today
  18. How was the data entered? Bounce to Clip could do it if there were mutiple clips selected when bounced (take lanes maybe). Run UNDUPE.CAL
  19. Check it out in the Event List View. There are a lot of duplicate notes. Notice the start times of the notes. For example, there should only be one F#4 at 00:00:00 in track 13. I count 4. It appears the clip X has 3 duplicate notes and clip Y is duplicated once.
  20. If there is it would come directly from Overloud. Contact them.
  21. I would like to review the project. Can you make it available for download? Just need to two MIDI parts.
  22. Channel Tools was bundled with Professional and Platinum. CbB includes a very small subset of the plug-ins bundled with those DAWs. To the OP, consider installing the version of SONAR (or newer) used to create the project to get all the plug-ins bundled with SONAR. This may require re-installing CbB afterwards.
  23. This. Although consider exporting at the render bit depth set in CbB instead of the record bit depth. The default render depth is 32. Check your preferences.
  24. Do not use "Slide Over Old to Make Room" in preferences. It has been a known problem for years use of of the other settings. This and the "Cut with Delete Hole" have been replaced by ripple edit. I have not been able to reproduce the groove clip issue. Might want to start a ticket with support@cakewalk.com. You are aware CTRL+L does not open a dialog as you reported in another thread. You can change the double-click behavior to open the Loop Construction View but the default behavior is clip properties. The "Analyzing Audio" issues sounds like a Melodyne 4.2 bug caused by dropping audio into an instrument or MIDI track. The old "share driver" setting has been renamed to a more appropriate description "Suspend Audio Engine When Cakewalk is Not in Focus." If using the same audio interface for Windows and CbB this setting is often not the problem. Instead, Windows and CbB running at different sample rates is the issue.
  25. Velocity is not the same as volume. Velocity determines which samples for a given instrument are played. In MIDI volume is CC7 but again using a different synth can make a huge difference. The difference could be the samples themselves, the synth preset or a combination of the two.
