  1. Edit the original post and modify the subject
  2. The video was published in Jan 2018 before Logic Pro had ARA support.
  3. Yes, ALL of the content bundled with 64bit Platinum and any older 64bit versions of SONAR work in CbB. Any other products purchased from Cakewalk such as Rapture Pro will work too. Think of CbB as an updated version of 64bit SONAR Platinum without all the plug-ins because...that is what it is.
  4. Here are Noel's comments from http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3066236 AFAIK, this is still accurate
  5. To get all the plug-in bundled with Platinum, it must be installed. Some of the plug-in installers check for the DAW. Because, CbB updates the "shared" folders, it should be installed after Platinum. To save space, skip the Platinum tutorials.
  6. Were the videos made with a DAW that supported ARA? It's the exact same plug-in (assuming the VST3 is in the FX rack) doing the exact same work. The main difference is how the plug-in communicates with the DAW.
  7. May want to use as a Region FX instead of from the FX Rack.
  8. The Media Foundation engine does not support moving video on the timeline, DirectShow does. That said, DirectShow is an older engine so, may not support the video format. For example, DirectShow does not support H264 video.
  9. Users have a 50MB image quota. The forum downsizes images. To avoid the quota and downsizing use an image hosting service (ex. imgur.com) and embed links to images in your posts.
  10. Switch to the DirectShow video engine https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Troubleshooting.08.html
  11. The forum has a 50MB per user quota on uploaded images. As a result, it downsizes uploaded images. To avoid this use an image service (ex. imgur.com) and embed links to the images instead of uploading them to the forum.
  12. CbB supports 32bit plug-ins identically to 64bit SONAR Platinum right down to the exact same version of BitBridge from 2015.

  14. This sounds like the enhanced edit feature invoked by 0 on the number pad.
  15. May want to add save and load track template steps into the process described in the help.
  16. Don't bother to upload images this large to the forum, the are severely reduced in size by the forum. Use an image hosting service (ex. imgur.com) and post links to the images. All versions of Cakewalk DAWs installed on the same machine use the SAME vst scanner called vstscan.exe in "Shared Utilities." The only differences are newer options available in the CbB UI. For example, CbB has an option to run a scan log (something you may want to do). That said, the basic operation of the scanner is the same for all installed DAWs. The version of 4Front's piano bundled with 64bit SONAR (True Piano Amber) is installed by default in C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\True Piano and the dll is called TruePianos_x64.dll The full version installs in a different folder called "True Pianos" and has 2 dlls: "TruePianos x64.dll" and "TruePianos.dll" The "upgrade" does not alter the plug-in bundled with SONAR, it is a completely separate product installed in a different folder. Both should be listed in the plug-in lists. By default the bundled plug-in shows up as TruePianos Cakewalk and the full version is TruePianos. Of course, the actual names could be different depending on ini settings, custom plug-in names and layouts.
  17. It is possible to use the same Add Track menu to add any softsynth available It is also possible to swap one synth for another in an existing track. Right-click any track related to the synth and select "Replace Synth" and pick a synth from the list. You may want to start looking for a replacement for Organized Trio. CbB will run 32bit plug-ins but you are much better off staying with 64bit plug-ins.
  18. use Paste Special with "Link to Original Clip(s)" enabled when copying clips
  19. Bob's instructions are very detailed but once step one is done unless you are in the habit of disconnecting your hardware, this step is done forever. If you are getting bogged down in the details here is a simplified way to add soft synths to a project The process in this post handles all the MIDI routing to and audio routing from the synth in one step when the the synth is inserted in the project.
  20. From the images above it appears that track 6 is an audio track. It has nothing to do with the PRV or track 2, a MIDI track, which is active in the PRV. The PRV shows all three panes The Drum Grid Pane - this is used when a drum map is loaded in an Instrument or MIDI track The Notes Pane - this is the pane expecting notes for Track 2. The Controller Pane - this is for CC data and optionally shows the velocity of the the notes. May want to drag the sash between to Drum Grid and Notes Pane up to show more of the Notes Pane. Also change the tool the smart tool to enter notes.
  21. Plug-ins that scan as synths like Instachord usually need to have a complete synth routing to work even though they do not generate audio. This is a good case for adding them with an instrument track. Their audio output settings do not matter through. What does matter is the "Enable MIDI Output" setting in the VST2/3 drop down (an image in the link above shows the setting). This makes the MIDI data they generate available to the DAW and causes the plug-ins to appear in other Instrument and MIDI track inputs. These are the tracks where the synth(s) need to go.
  22. I do not have the plug-in but setup for all plug-ins that generate or pass through MIDI data are the very similar. This may help
  23. Glad you got it working. If the glitch turns out to be something important, re-installs get easier with practice.
