Uninstall Sonar X3 Without Losing Synths and EFX Plugins?
Promidi replied to David Noll's question in Q&A
Remember, some plugins require X3 to be present to work in Cakewalk by Bandlab. -
The installer needs a dark mode..... very bright in a low light studio..... almost burned my retinas out...
-
That's where I would be looking. Not just the application logs but also the system logs. Also, there may disk errors that would show there as well (like bad blocks)
-
If you do need serials resetting, I am pretty sure PACE will tell you to contact the company in question to get this done (AIR and SONIVOX in your case)
-
What happens if you rename your AUD.INI file and then try to start Cakewalk? This is found in the following location: %appdata%\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core
-
Some plugins already use GPU acceleration for their display. Meldaproduction employs the GPU for some of their plugin's display outputs.
-
More info needed....

I submitted my email address twice, didn't receive it.... (yes, checked spam folder)

No. You must use Bandlab Assistant. Maybe drop a note Cakewalk support here: https://help.cakewalk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000025633

Have you turned off USB power management in Windows Device manager (Start + Run devmgmt.msc) under Universal Serial Bus controllers - anything with Root hub under "power Management" Also try Start + run "control powercfg.cpl,,1" and set USB Setting | USB selective suspend setting to disabled I'm also assuming you have downloaded the latest drivers for the UR44C ( using manufacturer's websites rather than Windows updates)

Midi Foot Controller Driving Me Nuts.
Promidi replied to Mark Rogers's topic in Instruments & Effects
Does the MIDI foot controller show up in Preferences | MIDI | Devices under inputs. If so is it selected? That's the first thing you need to do Then for the plugin you wish to control using the MIDI foot controller, Check the “enable MIDI input” on the VST menu on the plugin window menu. Once that is sorted then you need to create a MIDI track with its input set to the MIDI foot controller (Press I to bring up the inspector > under “in/out” down the bottom). Near that same area, the output of that MIDI track needs to be set to whatever your plugin is you want to control. Your plugin should appear on the drop-down, along with any other MIDI devices you have. It will only appear if you have checked the “enable MIDI input” on the VST menu on the plugin window menu. -
Are you using the latest 64bit version of the iLok manager. Currently it is 5.3.2.3375 and is available from here: https://www.ilok.com/#!license-manager Note: I am using the 64bit versions of all of those synths you mention without any issues.

Sounds like a sample rate change with your Audio inderface. Maybe from 44.1 Khz to 48 Khz

Can you open the project file in safe mode? (Hold shift while opening the project )
-
Download the trial - they give you 30 days.

But there are also some things that String Studio does better than Chromaphone. Pitch bends on String Studio sound more realistic. In Chromaphone, Pitch bends simply raises or lowers the pitch of the sound - and that's all. (and it's very CPU expensive while it’s at it. ) In String Studio's Pitch bend, there is a slight change of timbre and resonance as the bend is taking place. To my ears, this sounds more realistic than Chromaphone's. Both of these synths simply do certain things in different ways. I certainly do not regret having both.
-
No it doesn't. String Studio 3 and Chromaphone 3 are two completely different synths.

You can check out any time, but you can never leave........

That sounds like a windows issue. What happens if you click "Resize" on the corner menu and then use the cursor keys to resize?

Sidechain inputs in effects plugins not working
Promidi replied to Sean Street's topic in Instruments & Effects
You might want to start a new thread. Also, when you do, can you give some more information about your set up. -
Sidechain inputs in effects plugins not working
Promidi replied to Sean Street's topic in Instruments & Effects
When you say "drivers are up to date", how exactly have you verified that? -
On my system, using the numeric key pad 4 and 6 moves the notes by the amount as defined in Preferences | Customisation | Nudge > Nudge 2 settings
-
This seems to be normal behaviour for Aria player. Consider using an external reverb on a bus or an AUX track.
