Not out of the box, no. However, if you are ok at scripting, you could write a script that copies your required INI files in to the respective folders before starting Cakewalk by Bandlab.... I am not sure how this would really, as I have not tried this. (or required to) I do a similar thing with Workspaces - though that involves writing values to the registry prior to starting Cakewalk by Bandlab.

The only thing that stands out there is Realtek ASIO. I do remember reading on other posts (can't lay my hand on the specific posts) that Realtek ASIO has never been that reliable. Are you able to grab yourself a USB audio interface that come with its own ASIO drivers?

I have two sound output devices. One is a ASUS Xoner PCI card and the other is a Focusrite 2i2 2nd gen. Both of these come with their native ASIO drivers. I use the ORB Studio ASIO plugin. https://github.com/Andersama/obs-asio/releases That allows ORB Studio to record from an ASIO source. I set Cakewalk up to use the ASUS Xoner PCI card in ASIO mode as its output. I set up OBS Studio to use the Focusrite 2i2 as its input. I route the output of the ASUS Xoner PCI card to the input of the Focusrite 2i2 (I use an external 12 channel mixer for the physical signal path) Then, when I use Cakewalk, ORB Studio screen records the session while capturing Cakewalk’s audio simultaneously - both in realtime. I do need to make sure the sample rate, the bit depth and the buffer size matches on both the ASUS card and the 2i2.

You are going to have to give us some information about your system and what you've tried so far (other than updating Cakewalk) Detailed PC specs (hardware and OS) are needed What audio interface and driver mode (WASAPI or ASIO - ASIO being preferred) What sample rate, bit depth and sample buffer size? Is your Windows fully patched? Have you installed latest drivers for all of your hardware? (using manufacturer's websites rather than Windows updates) Have you tried exiting Cakewalk by Bandlab, going to the following folder, making a copy of and then rename the AUD.INI file? %appdata%\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core I have the system as outlined in my signature, with the latest Cakewalk by Bandlab, and I have never had the issues that you have described (and that’s using some CPU heavy soft synths).

Keep a close eye on the install process and get ready to hit cancel during the Pace licensing install phase. That's what I did. I did not want to risk installing an incomparable version of the Pace licensing tool on my Windows 10 PC - resulting in a BSOD. It may well have seen the later version of the Pace licensing tool present and refused the install (and just install Stratum) - but I did not want to risk it.

Then the issue is not Cakewalk related. Is it possible that you have inadvertently changed the sending MIDI channel of your MIDI controller?

What did XLN support say when you contacted them? I have had zero issues installing any of XLN products (including the four AK products)

Actually, there are even strings attached. Cakewalk by Bandlab comes with Studio Instrument Strings.....

If after moving your stuff to another drive , and your C:\ drive is still low on space (<25%) , then, I'm afraid, it’s time for a new C:\ drive. Simply moving your VSTs folder and contents will not be enough.

Have you tried the following: Are you using Cakewalk by Bandlab 2020.1 Build 98? Have you installed all Windows 10 updates? What are your PC specs (CPU, RAM, hard drive size and type) Are you using the latest drivers for your all hardware (especially) Audio interface. (Using manufacturer's websites rather than Windows updates) Are drivers native ASIO rather than using a wrapper like ASIO4ALL What driver mode are you using (ASIO is preferred ) If using a USB audio interface, have you disabled your onboard audio? Try disabling C-states and Intel Speedsteep (This is done in the PC's BIOS and the method varies between PCs) Try Start + run "control powercfg.cpl,,1" (without quotes) and set CPU Min and Max to 100% In preferences | Audio | Configuration File try adjusting the following: EnableSetThreadIdealProcessor = False MixThreadCount = {number of cores minus 1} You might like to exit Cakewalk by Bandlab, go to the following folder and make a copy of the AUD.INI file before doing this: %appdata%\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core

You can also do other tempo ratios other than 50% The formula is (Old tempo / New Tempo) x 100 % to get the length change. When entering in in the Process | Length dialogue box, drop the mantissa.

User 905133's solution should work. Half the tempo. Then select all, then Process, change length. Make sure both Change Duration and Start times are selected. If there is no audio in the project, then deselect “Stretch Audio“ I have done this many time with MIDI projects.

I have to agree here. I think this solved an issue I was having with SONiVOX Big Bang Cinematic drums crashing in CbB (this is a known issue is SONiVOX not an issue with CbB). Wrapped SONiVOX Cinematic drums in JBridge, crashes went away.

They might be obsolete, but they are still supported (to open). While we wait for “some new alternatives”, I will continue to write and use them.

Cakewalk is Jbridge aware. With Jbridge, you simply install it. When Jbridge is installed , the “Use Jbridge Wrapper” option becomes available in the plugin’s properties. That being said Meldaproduction plugins come with 64bit versions of all their plugins. You do not need any bridging software to use Meldaproduction plugins in Cakewalk by Bandlab. Just make sure you install and use the 64bit version. In fact, on their Web Site, it specifically states the following: “64-bit plugins can't work in 32-bit hosts even if the operating system is 64-bit. Do NOT use 32-bit plugins in 64-bit hosts. They would have to be bridged and can become slow and unstable”

I use heaps of custom keybindings and never once have they been deleted as a result of a Cakewalk by Bandlab update. On your system , they could be disappearing because of a workspace setting. This is because, by default, each workspace loads their own keybindings settings. If you set your Workspace to “none” do your previous Keybindings return? I do actually use my own custom Workspaces but I do not want these custom Workspaces to load their own Keybindings. I want my Keybindings to be global regardless of which custom Workspace I use. To do this, I go into the Workspace manager, select my custom workspaces one by one. Then under “Load from Workspace”, deselect "Keyboard Shortcuts". That way, my Keybindings don't change when I load a different Workspace.
